Awesome Tarq! Hey, since you're obviously a Marty expert, why don't you swing by his wiki page and update the thing? It's totally shameful for an artist of his talents and ability to span genres to have such a meager write-up.
I did put a couple of lines on once that Marty had hit the number 1, 2 and 3 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with 3 self penned songs namely El Paso, A White Sport Coat and Don't Worry something that no other Country artist to my knowledge has done. They took it off for some reason.
Hey Tarq... Do you have a copy of Marty singing "I'm In The Mood For Love" that you could upload? It's one of my faves and I've never heard his version, being that it's on one of his rarest albums.
Quote 'Robbins performed and recorded several songs by longtime songwriter Coleman Harwell, most notably "Thanks but No Thanks" in 1964; Robbins and his producers employed the top sessions musicians and singers including the Jordanaires to record Harwell's songs. Harwell is the nephew of former Nashville Tennessean newspaper editor Coleman Harwell.'
One song and that's all (named above), nothing else.
this was perfect to show marty was capable of as many have said..he could sing anything he wanted too. and give each style of music he tackled..more than justice. thanks
I thought I'd heard everything Marty ever sang...and then I find this. FANTASTIC! Thank you so much for sharing. Now I'm off to Ebay to try to track down "Marty After Midnight".
Wow! Soulful as ever!

There is a claim on there that is totally wrong.
