  • Bulking up requires lots of protein; all meat is an excellent source of protein as well as fish, dairy products, peanut butter, nuts, and whole grains. Rice doesnt have a lot of protein but is good for losing weight

  • rice is a very good thing if your like on a diet, it fills you up and has a very low nutritional value. Fry some chicken egg and carrots in there and its pretty good, it also last forever if you cook enough (its also cheap and tasty)

  • Paul, after a workout, eat lots of peanut butter (tastes good with bananas). Peanut butter has tons of protein which helps your body recover from workouts and replenish muscle mass.

  • Paul what you gotta do is eat a lot of Protein, you should also get some kind of protein shakes for breakfast or before/after you work out. Also, fats ARE good for you if you work out. So don't count fats as a bad thing to have, they're actually pretty good especially if your trying to gain weight/get muscular!

    Eat Lentils. They last a long time and they are pretty cheap.

    Try to buy things in bulk.

    Instead of buying chicken breast or wings or whatever try to get whole chicken or whole whatever you are trying to eat. You get more meat for your money. The hard part is learning how to take the animal apart but once you do you have a good amount of meat for what you paid

  • Paul you should eat lots of protein foods, (red meats and raw eggs), if you cook them they lose some protein. Carbohydrates are good for toning your muscles(potatoes pasta etc). Lifting weights is good for building muscle but shit ups and push ups tones your muscles, My rugby coach told me this I hope it helps

  • Okay, here's something that tastes amazing and is packed full of protein to keep you going.

    Oil and butter in pan, heat up. Add water to stop onions from burning.

    Cut up chicken breast into eatable chunks, put into pan.

    Add mushrooms to mix.

    Stir for 3-5 minutes, and then add secret ingredient; Heinz Mushroom Soup (Soup works as broth to soften the mix, and tastes amazing)

    Allow to boil off

    Whilst mixture boils off, get some Uncle Ben yellow rice and put in microwave

    Serve up when ready.

  • I'm 18 in uni too , i eat shit and i mean like takeaways every other day and when i do cook its pizza,chips,pasta,rice and toast , i hit the gym everyday too , i can run 18 miles o the tread mill and i weigh 11st, im skinny as fuck too , the message , eat what you want not what is "good for you" and balance it of with enough cardio and you will be fine , you probs already know this but hey :)

  • @HAYDNBBH Just because your skinny and you can run for a while doesnt mean you are healthy, your metabolic rate may be fast but really fatty foods with hydrogenated fats etc really are bad for your heart and arteries.

  • A good tip would be to gain weight and then work it off to give you more motivation to get fit

  • Take that steak, marinate it in a 3:1 ratio or teriyaki and soy sauce, add a tablespoon each of onion powder, garlic powder and minced ginger and black pepperwhile you're in class for a day. Cook it in a frying pan and make sure you get a sear on both sides and lower the heat to cook it to whatever doneness you like. Best steak you've ever eaten. Promise

  • If you want to bulk up, eat MORE fatty foods ( in moderation ) with protien foods, because if your taking in low fat then your body is going to use the protien that is meant to be going to your muscles, for energy, and will make it harder to bulk up and increase stamina etc, also, eat a big meal at nightime, the 6-10 hours that you are asleep isn't good for your muscles, if you havn't eaten before bed, your body will take protiens from your muscles to give you energy(so you won't gain muscle).

  • invest in some good protein powder... if you get WHEY protein you wont put on a lot of weight as long as you are doing a good gym routine maybe go 3 times a week.. and do certain muscle groups spread out across the whole 3 sessions... and have a shake 30 mins after the gym... thats what ive been doing for the past 3 months and i went from 70kgs to 90 kgs and i can bench 100kg and im working my way up .. my goal is to double my weight ..

  • ..., when the microwave is done, take the bowl out, but not the plate and microwave the sausage for another 30 sec. Then, put the egg patty on a sandwich round, put the cheese on that, but the sausage patty on the cheese, and finally the other round on the top. nomnom

  • Get whole wheat sandwich rounds, get a bowl with a flat bottom that's about 6 inches in diameter, mayo, eggs, pam, sausage patties, dill weed (an herb, not a drug), milk, american cheese, and a small plate. Put a sausage patty on the plate, spray the pam in the bowl, crack 1 egg in the bowl, put a bit of dill weed into the eggs, put a splash of milk into there as well, put the plate over the bowl, and microwave for 2 min. While that's heating up, spread some mayo onto the sandwich rounds........
