I like on the otherside of the pond but holy crap, if you don't want your vehicle clamped, fined, or ticketed then don't park it where you aren't known to have permission - especially at the petro station and leave for home. You guys are so lucky to have clampers, over here a tow truck comes and tows the shit away - you pay storage and towing fees to get it back and have to call the police to report it stolen just to find out it was impounded by the tow company.

I said illegally/NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OWNER OF THE LAND'S WISHES. It's effectively the same thing, on your own land you make the law- it may not be called law, but the edicts issued by a landowner should have the same force on that land.

Ultimately, don't park on private land without ensuring you have permission, if you choose to do so then you do so at your own risk.

Yes, excessive charges, but why don't you stage a better protest by NOT PARKING ILLEGALLY. If everyone parked correctly then you'll be putting the clampers out of business.
