  • Man I love rapala but it just destroys my wallet! haha

  • Rapala is the Best!!!!!!!!!!

  • i bought six rapalas today for 10 at a flee market never used

  • x rap 12 is the best for salt water and x rap 8 is the best for lake fresh water

  • x rap 12 is the best for salt water and x rap 8 is the best for lake

  • There is nothing new to invent... Rapala invented everything!

  • do you recomend these when fishing for rainbow trout?

  • @Draneidude The Clown colored x raps works great for all pike and purpledescent color works good perch.

  • What colour is best for freshwater pike and perch???? and what size ?? shallow or normal??

  • x raps are beast

  • these guys sound like beevus and butthead everytime they hook a fish.

  • what do they cost

  • @megaanglers go to basspro.com and look up rapla

  • @megaanglers $10.99 ea

  • i never try this lure but it's going to catch big fish . i love the cast of the lure i might buy it at the store today.

  • @antifriendly. I am an avid rapala user. And i love the husky jerk out of all of them. The x-rap is a good one but husky jerk....by far the most versitile

  • I've got 16 Rapala lures and i haven't caught anything on them :D but still i think they're the best.

  • which color is most versatile?

  • which is better, x rap shad or minnow?

  • Word of advice, try walmart. I brought 5 rapala crainkbaits(1=xrshss-6, 2=xrs-8, 2=xrd-8 for 25 dollars before tax. Or your local spoting good store clearnce are great places to get lures.

  • if i have to believe every clip of every rapala lure everything can deliver fish.

but if you have to choose between rapala lures this is my top3 where I always catch fish with like pike, perch, zander, asp >musky >bass (I live in europe)

    1. - X-rap shad

    2. - husky jerk

    3. - orginal

have one of those three and you will catch fish, also i recommend savage gear soft 4-play awesome lure.

  • @21aap yea i got the husky jerk a couple of days ago and tried it out. I tried stop and go retieve, a constant retrieve and sweeping. i only got one fish which got half way to the boat and threw the lure. its the only bass i ever caught so that was cool, but even after a good hook set, it still shook it off. any suggestions from Europe?

  • i bought 1 x rap for $8.29...very expensive...thats just proof that you get a quality lure...are these things good for smallies, first time trying one

  • @bassallhour @ that price,I also cried when snagged something in the lake and lost it. Great lures,I prefer the clown x rap. I have caught some monster Hybrids and Stripers. Catfish like them too!

  • Amazing lure

  • i love this lure! it helped me catch my first 10lb plus bass!!!

  • Rapal is a high quality lure, but a bit pricey. But, the price is worth the outcome. These lures rock!!!!

One question though: Do these catch trout?

  • @P0tat0P00p of course they do....0-o

  • Do you not all realise that lures are not made to attract fish but to attract fisherman ?

no matter what you use you think IF i only had that ! if only i had more, last time i was fishing i should have tried that. i will buy this for the next time.its an never ending cycle.

  • @dfg297lpopdirk

If you're a regular angler..i.e more than 2 times per week imo you would realise that lure fishing is a different game since live bait fishing has exactly live bait that react in a particular condition and thus game fish react accordingly. It is up to teh angler to decide which action and type of lure is best for your conditions to get strikes...Hence we have a variety of lures and whenever a great company like rapala brings out a lure you be sure to test it..if it works,..well

  • the clown is amazing for bass and walleye.

  • @Pararescue001 I agree. I have had the best results with the clown. I haven't caught walleye with it yet but plenty of big hybrids and stripers, even some nice catfish if you can believe that.

  • Rapala got be the best hard baits on the water! nice video but cant you just go to the website and watch them?

  • i have the X-Rap Shad in silver

  • rapala all the way my dad is always trying to tell me rapala doesent work but yet how do i always catch more fish than him each time we go fishing

  • i love this lure.....

  • rapala is finnish go finland hyvä suomi

  • I love using rapala lures! There as good as and even batter than catfish for tomans(snakehead)

  • Rainbow Rapala,,, Best River fishing for brown trout,, Jointed Gold and black,,, biggest one they make,, Best Cutthoat trout lure ever, top water. I have used many Rapala in my days, they all seem to work real well. I still have not caught a Muskie on a Rapala but I can't afford the big lures,, The best Northern Pike lure I found was dis continued,,Long Cast In a baby shad,,,you need to make it again,, Trolling rapala is the best all around go too fishinng,, Fast troll for trout..Thanks Rapala

  • I love rapalas I've caught so many pike with them I have about 6 @ the moment all I can say is try 1!

4 of them are 15 years old so realy worth buying!

  • rapala is crazy expensive!!

  • @Lilsaintaz Yet still cheap in comparison to tons of other brands, specifically Japanese hardbaits.

  • this lure got me a 10 pound bass....in the 1st CAST!!!!!!!

  • Rapalas husky jerk and origanal floter are the bomb for bass i dont now why evrey one thinks they neend fat baits for bass stick baits are the bomb

  • sure they are expensive but they work!

  • is this considered a crankbait or a jerkbait?

    whats the differece?

  • @TheInkhead you can do both with this one, jerk bait you pop your rod down to make it hop around under the water. crankbait wiggles but goes in a strait line reel slowly for crankbaits

  • i love rapala i use the rapala poppers with the fluffy tail

  • Lures want catch you fish .. your the only person who can do that .. people will learn that one day ... john over here has about 1000 dollars in crankbaits and spinner baits and cant catch a single fish ... bobby on the otherhand has one pack of worms hes been using for about 3 years and is pullin fish out every cast ....

  • this lure is great i was fishing with regular live worms and wasnt catching anything i thought i might as well try it and caught about 4 smallmouth and 3 largemouth in like 10 mins i highly reccomend it

  • 99% of lures in my tackle box are rapala lures they are the best

  • well, hey but its so and the quality is high

    you must fish and fish

much luck and much fish wishes you

    AL LINDNER

  • yeah but the first fish makes them worth the price.

  • has anyone ever tried a skitter prop, i was thinking about picking one up

  • used to never like rapala crank baits. my buddy talked me into trying them one more time and i went with the new X-Rap series shads. caught a couple largemouth bass and a 4 pound pike the first time on the lake with that X-Rap. i promptly went and bought more

  • I caught the biggest fish of my life so far with this lure 6 pound largmouth. Should I use steel leaders with braided line or steel leaders with mono

  • hä? "new 2008 lures"? but the video is from 2007! juli!

  • I like fat raps

  • I bought a bunch of these and only one suspends as advertised the others either sink or float. Had to add storm suspend dots to a few of them and the ones that sink I used lighter split rings and hooks. at 9 bucks a pop I would expect better quality control??

  • it suspends real nice till a 40 inch pikes takes a smack at it and puts a hole in the body and rendures your 8$ crankbait useless :(

  • i caught 3 bass on 1 trolling the rapala today

  • check my tacklebox vids :D

  • To be fair, in 45 years of fishing, man and boy, the Shad Rap is the single most effective plug I've ever used. I never leave the dock without a few in my tackle box (where I fish, in Michigan, the "natural" and "perch" finishes are most productive). But I agree with "iluvbassin", too - the French have an expression that fits Al Lindner perfectly: "Trop de zele!"

  • @MelosAntropon Im from michigan too and the pike here eat Shad Raps like popcorn!

  • My personal best" Northern was on a Shad Rap - yup.

  • @MelosAntropon I guess my best pike "other than spearing" was 35 inches while trolling for muskyWith a "Grandma" Musky lure out by Lowell Mi. I got a few Shad Raps in my arsenal tho!

  • @Trashfished my bubby has a place in green lake wis. and northerns go crazy over a good old fashioned mepps

  • @Lspurls18 Yeah hard to beat the mepps spinners!!

  • So is al linder the billy mays of fishing or something?

  • wats the best lure 4 bass in ponds?

  • Best thing you can do is find out what the baitfish look like. Try and catch some bluegill...and see their size. Also, look at the vegetation and match your lure to the color of the weeds. In small ponds I love using small baits...but I've been to ponds where using a bigger bait is the key to catching monsters.

  • match your lure with color of weed ... ??? what do u mean weed is all the way green in color generally....

  • frogs like the spro frogs of the snag proofs will get you alot of fish at night time. but if you wanna use crankbaits it depends on how deep the pond where you fish is. depth variable weightless texas rigs work awsome with alot of sinking worms like senkos dingers gulp sinking minnows ans the berkley heavy weights. but crankbaits with a really loud rattle like the rattle traps work very good. hope it helped you

  • What are the most effective colours to pick up?

  • the colors that mimmick bait fish.

  • i like how the bait turns around when paused. So likelike because if pay attention fishing baitfish turn to bass if cornered. Nice swim action too. 5/5

  • this lure rocks i caught a huge fish on it

  • rapala rocks i caugh a huge fish on the x-rap

  • which lure is best for small pikes in cold water

  • Salmo or Rapala, but it has to be Red Head, like Rapala CD-11 RH.

  • pike arestupid, theyll eat literaly anything. as long as its annoying as fuck, teyll eat it

  • LOL

  • use any small rapalas

  • rapala rules

  • both

  • which one should i buy a husky jerk or a x rap?

    hard time picking

  • Both work good for me but I catch more with the husky jerk. My girlfriend catches more on the x rap. They are both good so I would get a couple of each.

  • i would say x-rap u can nail bigger fish with it over the husky jerk

  • Husky jerk.

  • x rap husky jerks never worked for me but get a x rap

  • rapala is not cheap! i bought 6 lures for 45 bucks!

  • Make your own lure ;)

  • @michaelisawesomeable

Thats cheap compared to how much u get em here in AU

$20 aud for 1 Rapala lure and thats considered cheap

  • @michaelisawesomeable

thats cheap, here in australia they are about 20 bucks each

  • @michaelisawesomeable might not be cheap but pays off

  • @michaelisawesomeable where I live, you can only get 3 MAYBE 4 rapalas for that price...

  • @michaelisawesomeable i got 14 for $100

  • @michaelisawesomeable your right they are expensive but they do work

  • @michaelisawesomeable yeah but i think its worth it i mean compare the quality and fish catch capability of rapalas to any crankbait company .......no comparison

  • @michaelisawesomeable Don't lose one to a tree or you might break a tear.. It's terrible how expensive they are.

  • Hey for smallmouth bass whats better , Fishing with tubes or X rap shads.

  • 7:06 , that's a chunky one XDD

  • Thats the worlds best like i got it and i allways use it

  • i really love bomber crankbaits and ive always caught at the least 14 fish every time i go fishing with a fat free guppy...or shad.but i might try some of these

  • Do you fish off a boat? If so do you have a fish finder? I hardly ever catch that many when I go fishing

  • no the way i fish is when theres a new moon thats when the bass are on the top of there feeding. and on a full moon there feeding very well as well and bomber has amazing crankbaits

  • im like the opposite...i really want to try bomber lures

  • dude try them there amazing

  • i will...im going on a big trip to Minnesota...and i will pick a few of them up before i go

  • man i totally agree with

    golfer15963

  • i love rapala but sometimes they get too exspensive so i just go with $1 cranks that works just as good... but u can never beat rapala

  • how well do these work in the early months like may?

  • X rap shads are worlds better than the x rap although the xrap is an excellent lure the x rap shad takes the cake when your after bass, trout, catfish, pike even walleye, really tough and great casting lure

  • would this work for peacock bass?

  • If I only had $15-30 to spend, what lures or soft baits would you guys suggest for purchase? I'm going for mostly bass and panfish. Anything that can catch multiple species actually. Any help?

  • if i had 15-30 bux id buy two 5 dollar cranks,a few jigs and soft plastics

  • I would start with some Senko type worms and Gamakatsu hooks to match (sizes 3/0 to 5/0). Also some Zoom trick worms in the 6". Next drop shot hooks in the 1 size also Gamakatsu. Get some small rubber minnow type things to tag on the end of that rig. You also need bullet sinkers for your worm rigs so they could double as on the tag end for your drop shot rigs. Finally if you want to get into crank baits I would start with a lipless crank like the standard Rat-L-Trap. Finally X Rap.

  • how much do you think the shad 6 costs?

  • its like 7 bucks, just bought one yesterday.

  • thanks!!

  • x-rap for life!

  • salmo sucks ass

  • i used one today (clown color) and caught a 16lb catfish

  • will it work with snook

  • how should i fish these for pike?

  • cover every inch of water till somting bites.

work them fast. if that doest work just jerk the rod a little bit to give it some wounded fish action.

  • cool. i will get some and try them out.

  • lately I started to use long barbel lures to catch snook on a rock shore point, I don't have any X-Rap now, but I'll buy some and try them...

  • Tried them out yesterday here in NY on the Barge/Erie Canal system in upstate NY. Caught 2 walleye and 2 smallmouth.

Considering it's April I was impressed. Look forward to using this in the early summer months.

  • I just bought two x-raps, I've never used one and hope they were worth the money. I bought the clown colored one and shad colored one. Can't wait to use them, I've heard so much about them.

  • i fished for about 20 minutes with this last fall with the clown style and cought a lunker largemouth bass

  • so can u use it fast and im not really good with lures so is it easy to tell when u have a bit

  • yes and yes. You can jerk it or reel it fast it works bothways for fish. Most of the time you well know when you have a fish on it b/c they well always try to run after they have been hooked. =D

  • this lure and the jointed shad raps are baller

  • i own this and i am proud of myself for first time

  • To answer your question MustangFan424, yes, just make sure that you use the black and red XRS-8. That is what I have caught the biggest stripers with.

  • Rapala is the only lure i trust now.... storm sucks... and rapala just brings out the legends...

  • I have the same lure as this model XRS-8 can this be used in the waters of Jones Beach for fluke, flounder blues and stripers?

  • i want 1 or 2 or 3

  • question i just baught an xrap shad shallow slashbait. never used these types of lures ive always been a worm guy. but anyways im lookin to give er a go, is this a good largemouth lure??? all the reviews ive been reading speak about smallmouth, their fun to catch to but i do more largemouth fishing

  • oh yea......i caught large mouth bass with all kinds of these rapala lures........rapala has proved to me.....its worth buying one of these lures

  • my favorite pike lure.....right here

  • this is the best lure in the WORLD!!!!!!!

  • what is the best color?

  • wow ok first cast they were nice, second cast with it tug, tug , BOOM! snap there goes my line:( :( :(

  • Just out of curiousity...What Lb. Test line were you using? When was the last time you changed your line? I used to make that mistake in not changing my lines...

  • or adjust your drag

  • i jsut bought one of these today and on sunday i am in a fishing durby,so i hope they work good:)

  • i got a perch x rap great for pike!

  • the x-rap in hot steel is a multi fish catcher, best color all around

  • also can you tell me which color is the best for bass and trout

  • anything bright

  • is the fire tiger x-rap shad good for bass, trout, walleye, crappies ???? or is it terrible please tell me and also the rainbow trout one

  • the fire tiger x rap shad is probably one of the best for bass and trout but the minnow rap is good for walleyes perch color but im not sure about crappies

  • if i get one, are these places good to use it for rocky, muddy, lots of brushes and sandy places

  • This product has changed my life! In so many ways from the number of fish I catch to the size they are!! no not really but this is an awesome product

  • i love this i brought like 10 of them!!!!!!!

  • R These in Stores i Can't FInd iT

  • lol u cn find them at walmart

  • juss got mine not too long ago..didnt try it yet.. but hopefully i get what i expect out a rapala..and what they say..

  • that yellow one looked good for redfish!

    are any for saltwater?

  • they work for saltwater too,try deep water though

  • I wonder how much they paid that pro fisherman to say that. Rapala does make good lures though. Live minows or plastic worms always catches fish for me. It seems that you always have to change lure colors/size till you find one that a fish will strike using minow lures. I have some rapala lures but not much success with them. I don't have a boat either, so that may play a role. Bank fishing really does limit you.

  • nothing is compared with a live bait m8 :) but live baits its another story than spinning lures

  • cold killer lure! no need for live bait! and whoever say they can't catch shit with the x rapala or any rapla lure can't fish for shit.

  • I tried the clown colored one, in places where fish wouldn´t bite that easily here in Germany. I caught a nice walleye and perch always during the pausing. Just luck maybe, but for 5 euro it´s a quality lure

  • you are right man

  • how is salmo better....

rapala has the most world record fish caught on their brand...so to say salmo is better, you are only kidding urself son...simple as that...

  • Saw this lure the other day for the first time, First words that came out of my mouth beside old people...OMG Sexiest lure ever! lol

    Must get off Ebay :)

  • do u have bass in scandinavia? if so they would work... if your not catching anything on them then there is either no fish where your fishing or you just plainly cannot fish.

  • maybe your just too cheap an can't fish because these things deadly!!! And 8 bucks for a lure isn't expensive.

  • I use original x raps and all i can say is damn these things are killer. the 4-6 foot diving rapalas for just simple lakes most fish i caught were in about 2 to 3 foot out water on them and they just kill the fish. these are gold.

  • SALMO own

  • who knows where penguin park is if u do tell me where adress and stuff..... thanx.... if u know i luv fishing.... one of my # 1 sport

  • do these work good in a shallow farm pond, if they don't then what does?

  • it's not made for shallow water cause it dives between 5-10 feet
