@DangerDongs Bang on mate. I can't even stand half the repetitive drilling noise that gets pumped out these days and labelled as dubstep. I guess it's not so much the sound itself I take issue with, it's the fact that there's so much of it doing the rounds.

@DangerDongs I get what you mean, but isn't it funny how there already is an "old school" in a genre which is maybe 6 or 7 years old? IMHO we should stop categorizing new stuff as bad ("new robot shit") and older stuff as good. We should just accept new things and find the gems in the rubble. There are many up and coming dubstep artists who are different. Not everything that is new is bad... Dubstep itself was new just a few years ago.

True - but it's amazing how much shit you have to shovel through to find a good dubstep track these days compared to how it used to be. Anyone with a computer and a stolen copy of Fruity Loops is calling themselves a dubstep producer at the minute.
