  • @DABS139 Even if it doesn't work for mammoths imagine the species we could bring back from the verge of extinction with that technology. I'm all for it!

  • COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Don't you just love how the music sounds like an elephant trumpeting? :D

  • I remember watching this when I was a kid. We taped it and I watched it so many times. I was a strange kid, I watched this more times than any Disney film or cartoon show.

  • @thegriffin88 Same for me :) It ain't being weird. It's being educated.

  • @thegriffin88

Exactly the same with me. My aunt and uncle taped this for me, and I watched it dozens of times.

  • Has anyone been on Yahoo lately? There's news of scientists resurrecting a Mammoth. They say they'll clone dna from dead mammoths and insert it to an elephant. Thus giving birth to a baby mammoth! Check it out! They say it should take 5-6 years, but I have doubts it could happen. I would love to see one of these animals walking again.

  • @DABS139 You are right, I heard about it too. I read a little further though and the scientist who is doing it said there was only a 30% chance of it working. I'm all for it though! We'll see what happens in the future. I'm pretty sure it's going to happen, it's just a question of when. And I'm pretty sure it's gonna be relatively soon.

  • @exxodus87 lOl Imagine them waking on earth again! That would be awesome. However, what if they decide to SOMEHOW bring back dinosaurs? That would be crazy! They'd escape from the labs and eat everyone alive! AGH!!! lOl

  • @DABS139 Why not? Have you heard of Dolly the sheep? It was a sheep cloned by inserting a chromosome containing cell into an egg, as opposed to traditional sperm.

Nowadays there are companies that can clone your pet (dead or alive) using it's blood. So why not a mammoth? They are directly related to elephants and crossbreeding between species has been done before many times. For example, Ligers (lion+tiger), Zedonk (donkey+zebras), Savannah cats(wild+domestic cat), Etc. Google it.

  • Of all the extinct animals, this would be the most possible to revive.

  • @sprawlmessiah The pyrean ibex, tarpan, quagga, and baiji are actually more likely candidates to me because of them having gone extinct more recently and they have living closely related realtives.

  • hahahahaa well thats imposible :D:D:D

no way to bring mamoth back to life :

  • Not that we should be doing so in the first place

  • It was made in 2000 with footage from 1997 to 1999

  • so it's quite possible to bring the mammoth back to life. I'd love to see that.
