Nope. This is one of the drumkits on the 880, and every pad he's hitting is the correct one for that sample within the kit. It's most definitely real. He's playing the kicks with two foot pedals, that's why he's able to get so nutty with his fingers

I was only able to make 5 songs on this machine and now says "Memory full".

Boss has no intention to release a patch for this.

That kick is live. I play mine the same way, 2 kick pedals (BOSS FS-5U) I can't imagine why somebody would think it's fake. If you have rhythm at all you can play this thing. I rock a kit and I got this thing and after a couple days was rocking it better than my kit. Don't get me wrong this guy is advanced but not so much that somebody would think it's fake. ? I did get a DR-880 once, but returned it. The drum sounds were very poor. I know they sound alright, but compared to something like the Toontrack dfh series, they really sound unprofessional. Its an expensive unit, too - for half the price you could buy dfh superior and then get a midi controller for the programming. It would still be cheaper than buying one of these, and infinitely better quality.

Still, you obviously have some skill.

Dude if you feel like screwing around with buggy bloated software to get your drum sounds have at it. The DR-880 is the best hardware drum machine going and there are TONS of recordings out there that include DR sounds.

Hey man, just 1 question! Can you record like a three minute track of your own drum parts, save it, then play over it with guitar?

You can enter the drum parts in "Step Mode", to edit the drum like you would a PC sequencer. Or press the "Rec" button and record it live, you can do both these functions for bass and drum.

Once you've created a few patterns, you can place these together to create a song.

You plug your guitar through the machine, and this different effects.
