Hey... Really nice video man... A few noob questions if you don't mind. :) I'd like to know if you're using two or three finger picking for this song. I'd also like to know your opinion on 2/3 finger picking styles. And, Is it true that 3 finger picking is just for more speed? Thanks and Keep up the great work... :D
@nithinthomas91 Thanks very much for the comment...I use 2 fingers in my plucking hand: the index and middle. I've never used 3. As far as speed, any bass players that I've ever admired for their technique have used only 2 fingers....some even just 1 finger. If you listen to Jaco Pastorius, who played with 2 fingers, it seems speed was never a problem for him...:)
As far as playing faster than Jaco...I can't imagine why you'd ever need to...
@Gr8testMuzic Accurate reply there. Unfortunately, it's probably a make and model he was after. The lack of frets was a give away on the fretless bit.

What strings do you use? I have fretless and am still searching for good strings for it. Thanks, and inspiring video by the way.

@maty7976321 It would be difficult to explain here; should I do a video lesson for it slowed down?

maliester 1 year ago
@maliester it's most likely a Wal fretless, judging by the pick up style and the body style, but i could be wrong.
belial1237 1 year ago
@belial1237 Yes, it's a Wal fretless 5. (I think I wet myself a bit when I saw it). Nice playing - great intonation.
