  • never heard this tag b4 but it is just GORGEOUS!!! which quartet sings this?

  • Ok, this was a tad creepy:|

  • @jarbon5 I'll say, when I first saw this, it was kinda creepy. But, the more I watch this, the more beautiful it becomes to me (also, can't really stop listening to it). Love how he ends this in the basement, and let's the bass have it's way. Love that:)

  • omgomgomgomgomg! Fan girl moment, I know. But ... bass notes make me happy .... and I loved that bass note ....

  • Seriously man. Get yourself doing some more of your own Multi-track stuff. Your voice has such a gentle and beautiful timbre, I WANT MORE. Well please do more you are good. Even if it means getting ill and getting pissed to do it. It's worth it.

  • wow i'd like to do this one.

there is one problem: (not the range) i don't have the transcriptions.

    where can i get them?

  • I got chills... Oh my gosh that note at the end!!!!

  • wow very good..

how did you merge all four videos together though?

  • wow, you have some friggin ridiculous range dude. excellent :)

  • oh my god. that last bass, was AMAZING XD

  • that bass is subsonic bro, muddy and fantastic. i love it!

  • Awesome!! Second-to-last chord is incredible!

  • great job!

you should do Danny Boy :) I think it would really fit your voice

  • very cool! And I know what you mean by going out and party and sing the next day. Gives a nice raw edge to my voice and I can sing some notes lower... :-)

  • wow.. wow O.O WOW

  • i tried to sing the post, lead i guess. my voice cut out at 0:24

and that was singing it way quieter than you are =P

  • Very nice!

I'd really like to try singing this tag as a multi-track. Do you know where I can find the spots for the tag? Thanks!

  • O___O I love the Bass part !!! xD

  • When can we expect your next upload? This will be a tough one to top - great sound, and so mellow - really nice!

  • DUDE U BEASTED THAT BASE!

  • It's nice to hear a quiet tag for a change, let alone a quiet post. Coolies :)

  • Your and FinneyLee are the best barbershop singers....period. Great job on this by the way. YOu are so talented and you have such an amazing range =) Keep it up

  • Ohh my god!!! It was soo fine...nice :)

  • what kind of mic are you using? I'm thinking of posting my first tag. good job!

  • SSHHH. "Plat". That was the sound of my jaw hitting my desk on that last bass note. Tried to hit it. Couldn't do it without goin sharp and crackin. I'm jealosu much? yes. "Flipt" That was the sound of me picking up my pride along with my jaw after attempting such a sound as wonderful as yours. I'm not worthy. YOU ROCK xD

  • That is not true... I know Simon personally, and he does use pitch correction as does Tim Waurick... I know a lot about barbershop and have a very good ear... by listening to his voice (including the other voice parts) in this video it does not sound like a naturally produced note. It sounds like a Tim Waurck low note in the fact that it's just too smooth and full to be him really doing that live... Trust me man...

  • now granted, Simon said that it actually is genuine... it just doesn't sound like it...

  • thats fair enough, but im going to imagine that there isnt any =P

  • I do not use as much pitch correction as you might think man. Yes, occasionally I use it - ESPECIALLY for low notes (I'm a natural tenor), but I've also hit some pretty solid low notes that you might think I've corrected. Those who have seen me record can attest that I don't use nearly as much pitch correction as you might think. :) - Tim W.

  • I know who you are Tim... lol. You know who I am too... :-D

  • The bass on the last note made my ears melt. Great job!

  • lol even though it's obv you were sick during the bass, it works! And sounds great! Nice job first time through. Used to barely "breathe" the bass at the end of Sweet Adeline where the bari drops into the bass.

    Anyways, keep 'em comin'!

  • I give up...

I've been looking for the sheet music for this endlessly. I'm hoping a quartet I just formed can learn it.

Is there any way you can help me out? E-Mail me a copy? Link it?

    Much appreciated.

  • Suggestion, find as many groups as you can that have sung it and ask them if they can point you towards the original sheet music. Obv, they're not going to give you their version but if there's an orig, they'll usually be helpful.

  • no space suit :(

  • haha lol :D

  • holy mother...you're range is INSANE!

  • you have an extraordinary range.. like 4 octaves without falsetto?

  • ...thats a little far...

3 without falsetto would be extremely good. mines only around 2 and a half

  • you looked so happy when you hit that Db lol way to go

  • I really like how tenderly you interpreted this tag. The low note's great, but what impressed me most was your energy and dynamic. Keep it up!

  • Could you send me the sheet for this tag, please?

  • Your voice sounds soexhausted on the bass - I can imagine it was some hell of a party :). For me low notes work best after a long party night, followed by a good night sleep, in combination with a cold - this is how I did the A1 on my "To Reach The Unreachable Star" tag :).

  • Holy COW that was sweet dude!

You must have an incredible range and nice tone!

  • Was that low note part beer? :)

I can relate to singing better low notes when having a cold. Great job on this!

I miss being able to sing half as good as you.

  • really reallt nice dude!

    your voice is awesone

    congratzz!

  • I can't help but notice the massive smile when you realized you nailed that low note. Good stuff!

  • you have the vocal range of.....a greek god? lol from this to your high ass post in Finey's colab...unreal

  • That low note was freaking beast dude, you gotta keep them coming!

  • THAT IS A HARDCORE C SHARP MY MAN. i remember the lowest note that i've been required to sing was a double low b for all state. that tore me up.

  • DAMN ! thats a DEEEEP NOTE wow!!

  • Wow, that low note...I am in love. Incredible job.

  • wow! what a loooow note!

  • Is there any way you could please record a 30 second peice that says answer your phone or text message in 4 part harmony so i could set it to my phone. You are by far the coolest person i wish to know. I wish I could a part of your group

  • Hey man thanks for the comments. As far as i'm aware Metropolis have done something similiar. It's on their website.

    harmonize (.) com / Metropolis / under downloads =)

  • @Blindsensation07 send me an email and i'll send you a track i recorded with my brother thats a ringtone tag

  • Haha...you and fineylee...."I can't hit the bass note, so i'll go out and get drunk and do it with a hangover." You guys are tad over dedicated, lol.

  • It is just amazing how high AND how low you can sing!! I don't get how people dare to give negative comment... let them try to post something only half as good as your vids. Great job man!

  • The legal drinking age in New Zealand is 18. NO FAIR.

  • the legal dinking age in most of europe is 16!

    NO FAIR.

  • haha

  • Wow! That bass note on the end just resonates!! The entire tag is sweet :)

  • I checked, that was a C#!!! It´s incredibly low. I´m able to sing second tenor, baritone, regular bass and low bass. For low bass you need to be able to sing F. I can come down to Eb, and some guys in school "admire" me for that, but C# is just insanely low.

Wonderfully sung, keep up the good work mate.

  • wow yeah i did not see this coming, that's unbelievable :| great vid

  • freaking sweet bass bro bloody love it. keep it up

  • haha that's a beautiful bass note there!

  • Thank you for sharing something that we all wish we can do...at least I wish I can do.

  • WOW SOO SOOO S LOW IV NEVER HURD IT B4 LIKE THAT...ur so magnifasent :D wen i do it its all nasty sounding lawl xD

  • wicked deep ending there

  • Dude, you have an unbelievable range!! from your high note in lets get it started to this low note!? wow..

  • that was amazing brother!! I stayed with you until you wnet into the basement...that was crazy deep. Love it! Keep up the good work!

  • Wow. I'm jealous of that note. really i am.

  • I believe that last note is genuine...

and it is a hell of a note... outsanding...

  • You totally adjusted the last note with an audio program.

  • i think so too

  • It was me who did the mixing in this tag, and the last note is genuine.

  • well, if you say it is, that's awesome!!

  • You have an insane range!! you are truly talented man! keep it up!!! Oh, and any tips for getting those high notes (especially the C in Let's Get Started Tag).

  • Nice work my friend. Great job. Love all your tags. Loved the group tag Strike up the band.I wish you guys could make another tag together.Keep on singing.

  • You have an amazing gift! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us whose gifts may be lesser than yours (I am firmly in that category, I'm sure). You have an awesome range! I love the last low note on this one and I'm so jealous of your incredible lung capacity!!! Have you ever timed how long you can hold a note? I could never do what you do (at least not well). Keep up the awesome work! YOU ROCK!!!

    Thanks again,

    AF Marauder

  • great Db. Drink is a wonderful thing ;)

  • I LOVE IT! amazing! great chords, great sound, everything!

  • Just some advice. Have only the lead track end words with consonants so that there arent multiple K or s sounds. So when you say LOOK dont have the bass bari or tenor parts finish the word and only say LOO it sounds great...but also great job nbro your an unbelievable tenor!

  • I think the last bass note made my ears cum...

  • Nick lets make a recording. I'll do bass :D

  • That song that you did with FineyLeee "Let's get it started that was great. You was a great Vocal range.

  • i just peed my pants.

    at how good that was,

i could use some pointers. so check out my first multitrack. you wont be dissapointed

  • Let's hear it for throat tones! :-p Nice bass nbro:)

  • oh my effing god dude. Just watched a video where you hit a high C and then you sing THAT bass note. WTF!!

  • Incredible vocal range.

  • Holy mackerel!

  • Amazing.

  • It is said that if God would talk, anyone that heard him would instantly become deaf. This is in fact true, however the deafness is not caused by God's voice, it is caused by Tim Waurick replying.

  • Ooh... Impressive D-flat at the bottom there. Unfortunately, my voice starts to bottom out at D. I can get all the way down to A (below that D-flat) on good days, but it's only a mumble. I can hear the right frequency in my head, but if I open my mouth, it buzzes.

  • wow.

  • HOLY CRAP!

    Why do i even try?

  • i finally got an account, but the first time i saw all these multitrack tags was a couple months ago. I hope to soon post some of my own, with a little help from my friends. HEY! theres a good song....

  • I'm litterally stunned - I've just been wathcing some of the videos that you've made with Fineylee, and now I come across this! You have an ENORMOUS vocal range and talent.

Tell me, that last bass note was that D2 or maybe C#2?

I'm amazed with what you do - keep the vids coming

  • Hey, thanks for the comments =D, that last note is a Db i couldnt quite hit the C clearly enough. the original key is Eb though done by westminster and platinum.

  • Wow! You have an awesome range!

  • Oh, by the way - how did you get that bass? Maybe you are adding a little weight to that track, or using more than one track? Or maybe you're just awesome...

  • lol no in answer to that question... i was just drunk... its not often i can reach it though, so i was pretty stoked. And the arranger of this song is Mark Hale, however his interpretation of the tag is WAY different. on the sheet music its a power tag, with an Eb post by the lead and the bari going up and hitting the G. Platinum was the quartet however that originally made this arrangement famous but with their own soft tag which is what i copied, but mine is a tone lower=)its my favourite tag.

  • I agree - from one tenor to another - you could sing with any barbershopper.

This is a great tag for your voice as well. Nice selection - I forget the arranger, but the Westminster Chorus popularized it here in Southern California.

  • who's hassling you????? i think your chest voice is bloody incredible

  • on one of finey's videos where i'm singing a high C in chest voice (the video in which this is a video response to) a few ppl didnt like the C, thought it was a bit strained, which i guess it was, but it was pretty fun to do regardless. And thanks for the compliments =D

  • haha all goods. us kiwi's have to stick together. i don't know any guy that can get high C in chest.

keep them coming man. hey, how long does it take to make one of these videos?

  • takes a little while to get it all right. you've gotta have some spare time on your hands :p and trying to do some more, but uni's been pretty evil to me.

i also noticed that on one of finey's vids you had commented on having trouble getting his album, did you get it in the end?

  • I would love to see you and FineyLee doing an entire song together!

  • sunshinetracksDOTcom

  • Thank you.

  • For free would be nice xD

  • It is free of charge, but you should definitely try to make a donation because the music is outstanding.

  • we did do a full song together, its on his album, if you go to that website sunshinetracksDOTcom you'll be able to hear it =)

  • When deciding how much to donate to get FineyLeee's outstanding "Sunshine" .MP3 album (not really a CD, but you can burn it to one yourself), keep in mind PayPal fees. It would not be cool to "donate" so little that the fees are more than your donation.

A typical Barbershop CD of this quality is $15.

I can assure you from personal experience: it's WELL worth that!

  • Also not only that but the time that Simon spent on the album, he didnt just spend 7 or so months twiddling his thumbs. He was carefully making sure each part was perfect. Its one of my favourite barbershop albums. =D

  • "Its one of my favourite barbershop albums. =D"

And I'm SURE that Track #9 has NOTHING to do with that favored status. Nothing at all. ;-D

  • Haha, it actually doesn't. I don't think I like the way my voice sounds in track#9, I think I could have done it better. It was certainly fun, and an absolute pleasure to be part of however. It's one of my favourite barbershop albums because of the quality and perfection as to which it is made. =)

  • Yeah. SuuuUUURRRe. ;-)

Seriously, great job! It amazes me that a Swedish guy and New Zealander can do the Official State Song of Louisiana so well!

(And just what does it say about Louisiana, anyway, that its Official State Song is about MARITAL INFIDELITY!?)

Oh, and HOW did you two manage to synch and tune those long glissandos so precisely from 180º opposite sides (shortest distance between the two of you is a straight line right through the center) of the friggin' PLANET from each other!?

  • synchronization manipulation ;)

  • Winds are caused by differences in the air pressure. Differences in the air pressure are caused by Tim Waurick inhaling.

  • I watched this video right after hearing you nail the high C in "Let's Get Started," and I can't believe the low notes coming out of you right here. Oh alcohol... is there anything it can't accomplish?

  • I agree. I tried singing that low after a night out and only got to a rough low E... and I can "only" reach a high Bb with my chest voice :'(

  • A favorite tag of mine, very well done!

  • Nice deep notes on the 'faded at 3am' part lol! The expression on ya face as you hit and hold that note are humorous!

  • Tim Waurick's voice is so powerful, the sound of his posts travels in Mach 2.

  • Tim Waurick doesn't sing Tenor...everybody else sings Tim Waurick.

Tim Waurick is the single cause for the hole in the ozone.

  • or rather, Tim Waurick doesn't sing tenor; tenors sing the Tim Waurick part.

  • silly me...thank you for correcting my mistake...where would the world be without people like you

  • Whats the difference between a gun and Tim waurick? the gun stops after its been shot

  • Hahaha! Nice one :D

  • This week, audio software creators Celemony announced plans this week to completely digitize Tim Waurick, converting him into a professional software package that will act as a successor to pitch-correction software Melodyne.

  • Whats the difference between a wrestler and Tim Waurick? the wrestler will stop once hes been tagged out

  • Tim Waurick is the primary driving force behind the development of LASIK corrective eye surgery, due to a nationwide epidemic of eyeglasses shattering during performances.

  • People don't sign their mails with "In Harmony" any more. They sign them with "In Tim Waurick"

  • Tim Waurick doesn't make chords ring. Ringing makes chords Tim Waurick.

  • About 6 months ago, 30% of all the dogs in California went crazy, ran to the west coast and drowned themselves. After further research, it turned out that the reason for that was Vocal Spectrum and Tim Waurick's performance of Good Vibrations in New Zealand.

  • Who changes the light bulb on the tallest tower in the world? Tim Waurick... as he's the only one that can reach that high

  • What's the difference between a Jet airliner, and Tim Waurick? ....about a decibel

  • thats nice

  • How is Tim Waurick like a pirate? .... both can murder on high C's

  • hahahaha i had a laugh at this one =)

  • Tim Waurick once entered a post-off competition. He broke two world records, the longest held singing note, and the longest time without sleep.

  • Tim Waurick once decided to try his maximum posting capacity, but the experiment had to be done under water. The result is now known as The Dead Sea.

  • Comment removed

  • Tim Waurick now makes learningtracks for men, women and dogs. A dog whistle company contacted Tim Waurick for learning tracks for their new whistle.

  • vocal spectrum never sang with any overtones... they sang with tim waurick

  • Are you a lead, tenor, baritone or bass ? :)

    It's hard to tell.

  • I sing tenor in a quartet, bari in a chorus, and used to sing lead. As for bass, it can be fun, but its not for me =D only when singing with myself cos theres no other option lol

  • The same man that held the high C in the Lets Get Started tag just belted a low Db. Goddamn.

  • Lol, look at the top right screen at the end, Looks like someone came online to chat.. ahaha nick

  • please elaborate... =)

  • in the multiscreen, look at the top right box, in the last two seconds.. his face lights up,, looks like someboday came online to chat wid him.. ahahahah

  • hmm that might even have been me =)

the time when that was recorded was like 3am in NZ, so the time here at that time was 3pm =)

  • lol im sick right now and i tried singing that low note, and its the first time i got down that low. holy crap

  • Please tell us what software you used to create this great multi-track recording/video. Thanks!

  • Just did the recording using a programme called cool edit pro 2.0 but Audacity does the same job and its free on the net =)

  • Dude, that's freakin' low. I only wish I could grunt that note. Nice job!

  • Fantstic!!!! You have a great vocal range.Nice and solid,sounds great!!!!!Randy(jamrc46)

  • Plus, what's lost in the whole low C thing, is that he holds the post for almost 30 seconds! There's a big difference in the control one needs to tank up and hold an A or Bflat or any high note loudly, and a quiet one. Again Nick, awesome job here!

Man, I need to quit smoking!

  • how could you possibly nail a C#2 like that? As if the C5 wasn't crazy enough man I don't know where you could find the ability to hit (let alone hit that well) that note, congrats.

  • how the hell could u hit that low note yet still blast a C5 in ur natural voice?! ARE YOU HUMAN?!

  • Very nice! I'm glad to see more people who are multitracking out there. Keep up the good work, a great first recording!

  • it was good but not as good as Platinum's recording! Joe has that ring in his voice on that post that this guy doesnt. Joe can create an overtone just by singing alone. and Kevin Miles is a real bass. but it was good.

  • Yea i'm not in the same league as platinum lol, not for like another 6 or 7 years at least haha. i do hope to get there though. The other difference between this tag and the platinum version, is that this one is also a tone lower. But thanks for your comments anyways =) appreciate it.

  • The writing of this comment is clear and uses proper grammar, but an English professor could use more adjectives.

  • lol I'm a little confused as to what you're trying to say there :p

  • Merely poking fun at spespsqa1. He said you did a great job on the tag, but you weren't Joe C.

  • hahah Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious.

But a true kind of comedy would have said it much better...

  • it was good but not as good as Platinum's recording! Joe has that ring in his voice on that post that this guy doesnt. Joe can create an overtone just by singing alone. and Kevin Miles is a real bass. but it was good.

  • haha well platinum is considered one of the best barbershop quartets in the world. unfair comparison there =)

  • That was brilliant, well done, what a range you have!

  • you guys are fantastic!!!!!!keep up the great work.

  • lol yea used to sing with this guy, he did some of our practice tracks by himself... v useful!

  • here wwhere are bhstenor and bhslead? lol

  • bhsbari and bhsbass, were both members in my quartet last year. i dont know who bhslead and bhstenor is lol

  • I was gonna try and be funny and talk smack about your technique, but I got nothing. Good shit!!!

  • Nice job sir! That's gotta be what...a low C? which would give you a quiiiite impressive range. (I definately enojoyed your high C tag) Keep it up!

  • It's a C#... but that still means he has a chest voice register of AT LEAST three entire octaves. Can you beat that, Timmy? =)

  • Calling out Mr. Waurick? How could you!?

  • I'm just trying to get him to post a multitrack tag! I know he wants to!!! =)
