First of all Alevi's consider them selves Muslim (Sunni's too) and there hasn't been any conflict between Alevi's and Sunni's for dozens of years. And our Christians and Jewish minorities have the same rights etc. and live the same lives as Muslim Turks etc.

I'm Turkish, I live in Turkey and I think I'm better aware of our minorities situation then you. The Only minority who has a problem is the Kurdish one.

I have visited many Orthodox churches in Turkey, no one hides their faith in Turkey. Visit Turkey and then talk.

Turkey is 100% secular even more so then most EU countries and the US.

We only have a problem with a very small fraction of the Kurdish minority. Most Kurds vote for Turkish parties.

@ohohmrbill1 Also the Orthodox Church chooses its own patriarchs, the government doesn't involve it self in the Orthodox churches business. Turkey even recently asked Greece to let its Turkish minority in Thrace to choose their own Mufti's because the Greek government chooses it now and Greece promised that it stop choosing the Mufti's.
