  • Nice bronco dude, i just got a ' 79 bronco also, with a 351 mod. in it, it needs a few touch ups, but man these things are ford's slogan to a tee aren't they "BUILT FORD TOUGH"

  • woa thats alot more than what i had hoped lol i was aimin for 5000. i have 8000 but the rest is for school

  • love everything about it id love to have one but im onley 14 at the moment :/ how much was it all together

  • @dottiestoltzfus thanks for the comment. Bought the truck falling apart but kinda running still for 1100. after the overhaul i have about $13,000 in it.

  • Im 15 and im thinkin bout buyin a '79 bronco from my gpa for $450 would you reccomend it as a first vehicle?

  • @olympian2402 depends on what you want to do with it i guess. they drink alot of gas, and are very top-heavy, so it wouldnt be a great idea for long driving or driving like a racecar, but they are easy to work on, decently cheap to fix, and are alot of fun to drive. plus they will go about anywhere you put it. so depending what your wanting to do with it, yea, i would think it would be a good truck for a starter cause theyr good at playin and you can fix anything yourself on one in no time ;)

  • why do you have a ferrari key holder to a ford bronco?

  • @gamerfallout bought it at a ferrari lot when i drove up to dallas on one of my trips a few years ago. stuck it on the Bronco keys, just been there ever since.

  • Hey, sweet Bronco. What type of rear end you putting in it? Dana 44`s???

  • @1234Jster -hey thanks. i went with a new Ford 9"

  • i have a late 78 so it has the square headlights haha same color green but mine has white where yours is grey. fully built 400m 4.11 gears locked in the front and i have a detroit for the rear. i absolutely love these trucks. they were born when a truck was a TRUCK. keep it rollin man. can't wait to see what ya do with that piece of nastyness

  • @varminthunter243 hey thanks, yea im workin on gettin somemore vids here pretty soon. do you have any vids of yours yet, it sounds pretty good man

  • DUDE I LOVE YOUR BRONCO VID. !!! IT BRINGS ME BACK TO 1989 I HAD A RED 79 BRONCO WITH 33" MUDDERS AND A 400 ENGINE. PEOPLE AROUND TOWN CALLED IT THE "BUCKING BRONCO" WHATS UNDER YOUR HOOD? MY HANDLE WAS BIG RED. WHATS YOURS? I LOVED THE BACK SEAT IT WAS BIG IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN .

  • @giannithestud1 hey thanks! its got a 460 with a 750 holley, headers, wolverine racing parts, MSD performance ignition, an a few other add-ons. ;) did you sell yours? and i just go by Lance on the c.b., theyr definitly good intertainment on the interstates. i do like the, uh, "extra room" back there. LOL hey thanks for the comment, if you got any vids or pics of yours you should upload a video :D

  • Nice lookin truck. I like the way ya set everything up. How much was that light bar and do ya have any suggestions on one? Check out my '79 jimmy. she aint done yet but when are they??

  • @gmcbigrig79 hey thanks. the guy that had the truck before me had the bar, so im not sure how much they cost new. i know that KC quit makin em, but supposably you can find other brands online for a decent price. its well worth the money tho, i never hav any problems with it. :) i"ll be sure to check out your vids. thanks for the comment

  • ...i love the old ford broncos....but i hate to work on cars/trucks.....so i will probably never buy one....but if i could...i would give an old cool looking ford broncn a super strong 4 cyl turbo diesel and diff lock....but i can´t...but i will buy a ford ranger(or the mazda sister).....because i love the ranger too...and in europe we can get the ranger with a 4 cyl turbo diesel and quart cab...and is´t new....and i can´t realy fix cars/trucks...

  • nice ride is it for sale

  • @25tower have thought about it an starting another project, but not sure whether i would want to or not. lol it would be hard to let it go :)

  • Awesome Bronc! I have a '78

  • @AmericanThunder hey thanks. i checked out your vids, thats gonna be a good project with the Cummins behind it. did you have to make any suspension upgrades for weight diffrence of the deisel, or does the stock suspension hold it just fine?

  • @79lance I have 6" lift skyjacker coils up front, and I moved the entire drivetrain back 4 inches in the chassis, so I don't think there's too much more front axle weight over stock anyway. The springs work good.

  • Nice Ride

  • I got an 83 aswell, 3 inch lift on 34" super swamper ltb's. Slick lookin rig

  • @RageinGGingeR thanks, ill take a look at your vids

  • @79lance ya i just posted a new vid but i dont have my lift or tires on it yet

  • @79lance ya i got a new vid on but i dont have my lift or tires on it yet

  • nice bronco

  • I have an 1983 Ford Bronco

  • I'm A k5 man, but that's one bad ass looking bronco. you really CANT beat those old american trucks. love the 70's style.

  • @XXXBIGVIC66XXX yea, the old Fords AN the old Chevys, man. they dont make em like they used to haha always been a fan of the older styles :) hey thanks

  • @79lance No problem man, also great choice of music haha.

  • What KC lights are on the bull bar? whered you buy them? thanks

  • What KC lights are those on the bull bar... i want them for my 87 bronco :D

    thanks

  • I like the bronco but it looks weird with the 2 whips like that, my bronco has 1 5 foot whip on the bumper and it looks tits.

  • yea the 2 whips was kinda an experiment, i had never seen it done before so i gave it a try. i didnt think it was TO bad, but i can tell ya my next Bronco build will prolly only have 1 whip, prolly on the back tire rack or bumper.

  • Hey man can you tell me what kind of rims are on this truck? love the bronco!

  • thanks. the rims are 15" by 10" by American Racing. they were originaly all chrome, but i painted the back walls black. iv really liked em, been a good rim for a good price. :)

  • 69slowpoke - i put in 06 24 valve commonrail with an allison 6spd

  • must say ' I like"

  • Thats one slick bronco. How much did you give for that paint job. Where did you find those seats? Love it!!!

  • i did all the bodywork and priming myself, plus the sandin, an paid a painter $1,000 to spray the color an clear. rear seat is the original 79 ford bench seat, reapolstered . front seats are from a 1996 GMC pickup, reapolstered to match the rear seat. the seats were designed by me, i drew it an had a reapolstery shop stuff em an cover em. thanks!

  • Ive got nothing negative to say about the Bronco, she is a beauty....Jeezz, looks like a lot of hard work went into it and it shows.. beautiful truck man for a 79..keep up the good work...

  • thanks. yea, it took a couple years cause i was buildin it with what i made workin after school durin high school, but it eventually came together. haha i still got some new stuff i want done like some wheels an tires an new exhaust tips. always some new idea. lol thanks for the comment

  • Ya no problem, look forward to seeing more videos of the truck once you get done with it.

  • i drive it a few times a week, but aint got many vids of it. i need to put up a video of some random clips of driving an maybe a few off raod trails soon.

  • what a hick...pos truck...get a honda you redneck goofs....hahahha couldnt say that with a straight face.

nice rig man i have a 79 bronco that I hope to do up as nicely as this one...except im a 400 fan lol

plans for mine are 4 inch lift, 33 all terrains, build the 400 mildly, possibly a zf 5 spd swap (c6 for now) and a trutrac for the rear

  • thanks man. iv never had a 400 yet, but iv heard theyr pretty good. thats gonna be a smooth lookin truck, be sure to post some vids of the build. :) what kind of colors an look are you goin for on the exterior?

  • i have a few pictures of cutting out the front of the bronco frame and welding back on the front of the f250s frame ,but as soon as i figure out how to work my camcorder i'll try to get it on you tube, man the looks i get when i drive it around is unbeliveable.

  • sounds good. :) did you have to make alot of changes for the new front, or did alot of the parts line up jus being the same year?

  • we lined up the frames to see where they were almost the same and found out it right at the radius arm bracket, so we then made a step-up cut (jagged) on the driver side and exact right across on the passenger side we made a step down cut we took out all the brake and fuel lines from inside the frame and boxed the entire frame to the rear bumper, a bronco frame cannot handle the weight of a cummins engine when you go off road i cracked the at the power steering box and also broke the steering.

  • @boboda7 Which Cummins? Considering a 4bt for my 79.

  • i just spent 15Gs installing a cummins 24 valve with an allison 6spd , upgraded the frame steering, suspension ,axle from a 79f250 ,added a few upgrades from gale banks , i get about 26-28 miles a gallon , truck runs great but rides like a tank.

  • lol dang any vids of the beast?

  • sounds beefy

  • thanks

  • ya thatd be a great combination. im thinkin bout some 37s for my 78

  • hatd be pretty sweet. be sure to post a vid :)

  • very nice bronco. now all u need are some 35s or 36s to put on it

  • thank you. im thinkin of 35x14.50's, not sure yet tho

  • well how old are you now??

  • just turned 21 in august

  • this my actual dream car believe me i love truck from back in the days!!

  • lol yea i got it when i was 14, my dad had one before i was born and after seein pics of it i knew it was what i wanted. :) thanks for the comment

  • awesome bronco! id love to ford revive it and make it rugged like these 70s ones

  • thank you! it was a fun build. im actually thinkin of startin a second one here soon. i cant get enough of em i guess. lol

  • i like the whips!!! i got some on my 1979 ford f-250!!! they are the best ones ever made.

  • what kind do you have right now? the 70's fords are pretty sweet. :D do you have any vids?

  • very very clean for its age!!!!

  • thanks

  • whats up. i have a 1979 ford bronco ranger xlt and i have two questions if u don't mind answering. where did u get the light rack for the roof i have been looking every where and you CB antennas did u just screw them in to your cab?

    thansk and beautiful truck

  • ah "the beast" i like this

  • i had a black 79 wit a 390 in it and a locked rear..... man that thing ran like a mad gorilla

  • lol heck yea theyr pretty fun. you aint got it no more?

  • na she got preaty beat from rust mud an water man i miss that truck now i got a 89 bronco wit a 302 good truck but not as mutch power as that 390

  • sweet. you should post some vids of your 89

  • well she aint runnin at the moment but ill set a pic of it as my defoult pichure look wen ya get a chance

  • an my backround

  • what kind of CB antenna mounts are those? magnetic or did you drill holes?

  • they are drilled in. the sides of the truck are slanted, so i had to have the adjustable balls to keep the antennas straight. its pretty easy to install, it takes 3 really small screw holes, and 1 3/4 inch center hole, and has a backing brace to keep the metal straight. havent had any problems with em, they work great. :)

  • how much did it cost for the custom seats

  • the seats were upholstered for $800

  • what year is the dome light out of? and did it hook right up or did you have to run another hot lead to it?

  • the dome light is out of the 80's models. if i remember right it bolted right up.

  • you got a nice ride man its almost like mine

  • Nice bronco bud, wouldnt mind one like er myself

  • thanks

  • Nice Bronco! the color is really nice, and it's in good condition, inside and out, i really like it! i almost bought a 78 bronco last month, but the guy who was selling it was a jerk and would never answer my calls

  • thanks. yea, they aint easy to find sometimes. probably depends on location. here in the middle of Texas there are very few.

  • yea, i'm in colorado, there aint many broncos here either and a lot of the ones ya see aint pretty like yers

  • i ment trustworthy as in a newwer vehiclle, i love broncos and i bought a 94 bronco to be my trustworthy vehicle, the 78 bronco i wanted need a motor rebuild and a new clutch, fuelpump, carb, ect.

  • i got a 78 bronco 2 with a 400M. Hooker Competition Headers, Edelbrock 400 Performer Manifold, 600 CFM Performer Ed. Carb and Comp Cam. I have a roll bar in the back of mine and i want to take my top off, do you know where to get a tonneau cover to fit over the roll bar?

  • looks in good shape, like the tunes you got

  • i planned on getting a 78 bronco with a 400m to restore and lift but i need something more trustworthy to drive to colloge

  • to bad bronco's are very trustworthy mine sat for 7 years and the only thing needed to get it going again was a new fuel pump

  • i jst got a 1994 with a 302. i put a k&n airfilter and a super 40 on it, plan to lift it 4inches with 33s

  • sweet make sure to post a vid itl look pretty good :D

  • 78 thats a great year nice to see more ford bronco fans

  • 79 actually. pretty much the same though. yea its nice to see more of these rebuilt an back on the road. :)

  • fuckin awsome ford nice my dad used to have a bronco 2

    cool song

  • man thats clean

  • i wanna bronco but i wanna put 24" rims on it (i know alot of ya'll gonna disagree about the rims but im black, wat can u expect lol)

  • lol what year you wantin?

  • 1991

  • well. actually any year 4rm '78-'91. but a '91 is whats available for me rite now

  • cool post a vid if ya get it :)

  • i might. idk. i'll have to fix it. lol

  • lol deffinantly needs a full brush guard and a sun visor for extra masculant appeal, some push and brush guards have certain bug deflectors that look great with them too. p.s. I got a 1979 F100, but its a p.o.s. but they're dash panel looks kickass!

  • hey i wanna say that this bronco is daaaaaamn hot!!! it's one of my dream cars...

  • thanks! you should get one, mileage may not be too great, but its definitly worth the fun of drivin. :D

  • it's the same for my RAM!!! but this is better i suppose!!!

  • nice Bronco

  • hey thanks

  • very nice bronco,my opinion,go bigger ,

    37's =]

  • yea, i thought of either some 35x14.50's, or some 35x12.50's soon. not completely decided on size jus yet though. just didnt wanna go TO tall, since these trucks roll easy, cuz thatd suck haha thanks man

  • yeah iv got an 85 and i was thinking of getin a 6inch lift and the suggested tire size for that is 35's but i dont know what im gona do

  • thatd be pretty cool big lifts on bronco's look sweet :D haha

  • helllz yeah =]

  • that is a awesome song/ video mix nice jason aldean kicks ass

  • thanks

  • What song is this???? Awesome....

  • song is "Hicktown" by Jason Aldean. thanks

  • what is the mpg for the bronco???

  • with the 460 and the lift kit, i get 8 to 8.5. the 460 before the lift kit i got 9. A bronco with stock tires and the original size motor will get you around 12 to 13 average on most.

  • yea thats about wat my 79 bronco gets with that 351 modified windsor thats whne i dont put it to the floor tho

  • hey man i got a question your light bar on the roof is it a clamp on?

  • pretty much. When you buy the bar, they have diffrent attachments to choose that fit diffrent trucks. This one is a clamp that tightens down onto the drip rail. it sets on the top of the rail, and small "L" shaped pins reach under the rail and when you turn the screws it pulls it together, tightining it up on the rail. i can post a close up video of how it works if you need it???

  • ya i video would be cool because im thinking about on of these light bars

  • man, each time i posted a response, my laptop was erasing it. lol stupid thing anyways, KC discontinued the light bar i have, but other companies still make similair ones. If you search for roof mounted light bars, you'll run into a couple that work pretty much the same as this one. I'll go ahead and get that video of how they install up soon as possible.

  • ferrari key chain

  • yea thats my other car :D jk

  • you gunna put some 23" spinning rims and a some hydraulics on that? lol jk

  • thatd be some big redneck pimpin lol

  • Hey there 79lance! Great Video!

I have a question about your Mallory Ignition....do you have any photos of how you wired it in??? Any videos??? I have a 79 F250 now w/460 & C6. I kept the HyFire VI-AL off of my Mopar and am planning on putting it on the Ford. Sorry, no vids of my Ford yet, but you can see my ole' Dodge on my profile. Let me know if you have any info! Thanks!!!!

  • hey thanks actually the ignition system is one of the few things i didnt do myself. all the wiring is run together in packs, so i couldnt really tell how it was done. you might be able to order instructions for it from they'r main site though. srry bout that. I'll check out your vids on your page. good luck with it

  • Thanks "79! I appreciate your response. I DO have the instructions from Mallory, so I'll keep reviewing them...I'm pretty sure on what goes where, but I want to be absolutely sure!

    Keep on Truckin' Good Buddy!

  • srry that i couldnt be much help there

  • have you ever seen a standard bronco custom cuz all the videos i see are auto's

  • iv seen a few, but there aint many

  • nice bronco. there used to be a '79 bronco sitting in my parents back yard when i was kid, me & my brother used it for a club house lol i wanted to fix it up when i got older but my step dad scrapped it one day for $150. i still bitch at him to this day for getting rid of it & that was five years ago. haven't seen one like it since :(

  • thanks yea, theres not alot of em around on the road anymore

  • nice bronco

  • thanks

  • hahaha you know your a redneck if....

  • very clean man.....modifieds and windsors are two different motors all together.

  • thanks

  • man i wish my mom haddnt sold mine........................it had a 351 modified windsor and that thing was BAD ASS

  • Very nice Bronco!!

  • thank you

  • God man...lucky id kill for a nice Bronc.

  • thanks

  • make sure you hang on to that truck only made for 2 years and most where turned into off road buggys or are big piles of rust i have never seen one aside from the one i have it starting to getting rusty fenders but can be repaired and its had the inside has been redone but your is mint man

  • yea, i wouldnt sell this thing for nuthin. i dont see many around here around Abilene. i had to go to Dallas to find this one, an when i got it, it was pretty run down. ive put alot of time in it. i take good care of it. its nice to see these back on the road :) thanks man

  • Nice 79 does have 9inch rear axel and dana 44 in front?

  • thanks yep

  • nice bronco, that 460 must be ballsy

  • thanks

  • thatl be pretty cool post a video when ur done itl be a nice truck

  • sweet what size lift are you goin with?

  • That is one nice ass piece of machinery

  • hey thanks

  • my brother has a 79 with a built 400 in it and he gets about 8mpg to haha but its worth it right?

  • heck yea gas hit 4 bucks a gallon few months ago, an i still wouldnt get rid of it lol

  • nope mone was built the wrong way with to much back yard mechanics the trans blew so i sold it to a guy in my command for 800 doll hairs

  • suks mine was pretty screwed up when i got it cuz of people tryin to fix it that had no idea what they were doin lol i ran into some weird stuff during the overhaul, but got it all straightened out in the rebuild

  • i had a 79 bronco with the 460with a c6 behind it with a np 205 trasfer case with a 9in and a dana 44 with 18in lift on 44 gumbos it was fun

  • heck yea, these are some fun trucks :D especially with these 460's. mines gettin about 8 MPG right now, but its worth it. you dont have yours anymore?

  • Very nice!

I might be looking for a bronco in a few months, do you know of any years/makes to stay away from?

  • Most years of the full size like these were pretty good trucks. The 78 an 79 were the most heavy duty, but really you nearly cant go wrong with most of these. people have had problems with the smaller ones though (the Bronco 2). But about any year you prefer of these full sized ones, you should be good. good luck with your search, an if ya got any more questions, feel free to ask. an thanks for the comment

  • i looks like a custom 79 bronco modiefied, but custom

  • yea its the 79 Ranger, an in the overhaul i kinda aimed for stock, but accessorized.

  • nice tuck

  • thanks

  • nice truck, i have an 88 bronco and now with all the "accessories" it weighs as much as a tank, cool audio, cool KC's!

  • sweet, one of my friends has an 88. yea, ya cant have too many accessories :D hey thanks
