She speaks English very well. I could barely hear an accent. I've never been to Holland, but my sister has and she says that the Dutch's English is so fluent, you almost can't tell it's not their mother tongue. :)

As Sharon stated it very well, the world of music is very big and each one of the listeners may illuminate the emotional path to their own interpretation - or find the music's particularity from their point of view(s) - for example, although many people might no identify Sharon's inspirational elements within the music, she can very easily point them out the way she did it in the excellent interview video above ( I am very happy she also likes Dead Can Dance or Celtic music). Accents tend to disappear when people are singing because of the way that you form the words musically. You use different mouth patterns so a lot of accents kind of flatten out and sound kind of American.  It's not always like that, there are plenty of singers whose accents come shouting through in their music, but many international singers sound American when they sing.
