I don`t think many soldiers in the West today could have tolerated the conditions faced by the soldiers on the Eastern Front. They were a tougher generation than todays young adults.

In fact, the red army had what 1 week to prepare for war comnn.. u see how army group south couldnt take kiev thats because the divisions were alerted in time. sure the german troops were powerful and if russia had as many troops as germany they would have lost for sure. but it is what it is u invade russia its alot of ppl and alot of land
