Teena Marie a.k.a. Lady Tee didn't pass away from drug abuse on Sunday Dec.26, 2010, a year and 3 days ago and yes I miss hearing GOD given talent. She died in her sleep from a grand mal seizure from an accident that happened to her back in 2004 when a painting hit her in her head while she was sleeping in her hotel room. Then later on a sub zero refrigerator fell on her also. She did get addicted to Vicodin but went cold turkey off of it. She was a LADY then and now HOME with GOD.
Teena Marie, broke the color barrier in a way. I love the fact she was white with a gift of serious, serious soul. She was an icon of the 80's and a icon of music. It's too bad we lost her and Rick to the sickness and the abuse of drugs which eventually took them. Imgaine, if their lives were cleaner, they could still be here today performing the gift given. When was a little girl I remember listening to Lady T, when no one really was getting there nose pierced I remember saying when I grow up I'm going to get my nosed pierced. When was a little girl I remember listening to Lady T, when no one really was getting there nose pierced I remember saying when I grow up I'm going to get my nosed pierced. I had a chance to meet Lady T backstage at one of her concerts and she was everthing that I had picture her to be. She gave me and my bestfriend a signed autograph and I still have it till this day. Lady T, Ivory of soul you will be missed deeply, but I know you are in a better place. Love ya always

I will NEVER forget the IVORY QUEEN; she was truly "anointed" with that beatiful voice and great great music. I will miss her terribly. Wow You actually got to meet her in person...that's Awesome!!
