  • I just drove past 2120 S. Michigan Ave the other day (the old Chess records Studio here in Chicago)

  • the bass is heavy as fuck on this song listening to it on the xowon x7 fullbast now

  • Brian Jones on the lead right?

  • @yiannilol That's Keith.

  • @privettricker Right on, thats gotta be one of my favorite solos from him, the opening to bending licks are insane. Cheers.

  • Get out of my musical head...you're scaring me.

I've never been a major Stones fan, but I've always loved this song, and not just because I'm a Chicago boy. For you visitors, go 13 blocks North and 1 block West from 2120, and you're standing in front of Buddy Guys' Legends. Walk in, and enjoy the goodness.

  • i love this jam

  • Thorogood has an album by the same name.

  • @golfdom1987 It was the address of the Chess record label and recording studios.

  • I visited 2120 Sth Michigan avenue when I was in Chicago last year...

  • Groovy

  • Thanks for more Stones! Any chance you could do "I Can Feel The Fire" by Ronnie Wood and the First Barbarians?

  • Ha! Check out Google maps street view of 2120 s. Michigan ave Chicago, IL .Zoom out for best effect...

  • Cool selection! Keep listening to this album, it's full of great covers the Stones did in the early days.

  • 12 X 5 is a great album. When CD's were first being manufactured in 1983 I would go over to Japan and Germany and pick up the latest releases. It was wild. I used to hit the shops like Tower Records in Shebuya or Mom and Pop stores in Frankfurt or Kaiserslautern to get the latest being manufactured in Hamburg or Tokyo. The Stones were some of the first to have their stuff released. "Tattoo You" was one of the first commercial CD's ever made (Toshiba EMI) .

  • @IdolHans That was Brian on the harp on that track.

  • I sure wish Mick Jagger had never put that harmonica down. He and Robert Plant, they were friggin good with them things.

  • SWEET

  • I heard that Muddy Waters played on this track, but because of some contract mumbo-jumbo, that his part was cut from the song. Rumor says, however, they did keep one note of his guitar playing on record, and I've tried and tried listening to find it.

  • Congratulations or Tell Me would be good too. Thanks.

  • How about Empty Heart

  • Nice Wyman bass pattern

  • Ian Stewart laying down the tasty keyboard part?

  • 1st again, hey PT!
