all true! I lost a good amount of weight, and something happened very hurtful and I can remember the exact time that I decided I was going to cover up my hurt with food, and never really dealt with the painful experience, just reliving it. After you get thru the pain then you can go back to the eating and right thinking. I simply didnt ask God for help but friends who didnt know or care about my pain enough to help me thru the bad time that caused it...

I think we, as Christians, already know that inside but when you put it into words it just makes the truth resound even more. We shouldn't put anything above of or in place of God. God wants us to come to Him, not food or anything else, for wholeness. Thank you for the video-- very encouraging.

Great job. I'm putting this in my YT favorites. From a weight loss surgery perspective, the most freeing thing I have experienced isn't the 134 pounds I've lost, it's been the freedom in my head of the desire to overeat. It was gone the day of surgery, and hasn't come back yet. I'd do it (the surgery) all over every month just to continue to walk in this freedom. It's amazing.

Great Video, Very insightful, its nice to hear others discuss what the real root of their over eating is from, I can agree with most everything, how we substitute food for comfort instead of dealing with the real pain in our lives, and in the end it just causes more pain. HOLY CRAP! Danny, That spoke to me like no other, I'm almost to the point of crying. I have to say this is one of my favorite videos, and I think a very important part of weight loss...in fact I have to think almost the most important aspect of weight loss, this is why I began, because of the mental well being and such...I am not a religious person, but the idea in this video speaks to soo much more than religion, that I accept it and am thankful for this video! When I do something the God wants me to do I have a complete calm about it. When I was approved for my wls 2.5 months prior, Food no longer was an issue for me. The monkey was lifted off my back. Something I had prayed for since I was a child. It gave me the peace that this is what God wanted me to do. I know God's timeing is right. We all wish it was on our schedule though!
