  • Vtec kicked in at :11

  • @BigBlockRat87 no, he doesn't have a vagina. his turbo was completely spooled at :11

  • @Lance880 Ever heard of a joke?

  • @BigBlockRat87 have you? lol i was kidding too.

  • now thats a burnout

  • that was one of the best Mazda burnouts on you tube

  • this is one of the nicer sounding rotors. Some sound so nasty. Love the sound of your gate

  • thats what im talkin bout!

  • Damn, love that sound!

  • The noise at 0:13 is enough to convince to buy a FD.

  • @12389h I wish people would call these cars terrible and a bad investment, i am literally 1 RX-7 video away from getting one, i need to wait a couple of months but i'm getting a little impatient!

  • @DirtyStang69 I currently own a Mazdaspeed 6, but I would give that and my left nut for a RX-7. I think it would be better for both us to stop watching these now!

  • @12389h what year mazdaspeed 6 and what submodel. I got two 94 rx7s if you interested in one let me know. Im interested in the mazdaspeed 6 only. fyi.

  • @viper22jc I'm from the UK, they're called the MPS here. It's down on 10hp compared to the US speed6, which is the car you should buy. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to maintain a RX-7 right now. It's a 2006 model, they were only produced in 06-07. If your going to buy one, just be sure to pick one up with low miles and watch out for a smokey exhaust, the turbo seals do tend to go on them.

  • I could hear that from inside of my house when this was filmed.

  • if some thing breaks its expensive to fix

  • idk i think its busa turbo swapped..

  • what mm is the compression turbine?

  • isnt this for sale in atl?

  • @richc573 no i bought that one they look very similar tho...

  • nice wut u got under the hood v6 or somethin

  • @bassinyobooty a v6 lol its a rotary engine

  • @holsetdsm91 lmao i know dude im just fuckin around i have and 88 rx7

  • Now thats what im talking about!!!! Thats so sexy!!

  • holy shit that mother fucker screams...

  • what car comes stock with the GT35R?

  • @000ADRush

doesnt the aussie xr6 turbo come with one stock?

  • Sounds like my nanna's Hyundai.

  • some fun? thats some pretty loud fun haha. sounds so good

  • Exactly what type of 35R/manifold? :)

  • to "person3213": Lemmie tell ya, you drive an FD for a while and you will grow to love the way they sound!

  • Damn that shits fuckin crazy!

  • very nice!

  • amazing cars.. i don't know how i feel about the sound of em thoughhh..

  • i think its lame that they will let diesel powered run but not rotary its a shame:(

  • 20psi is a little high for pump gas isn't it?

  • @MrGizmo757

    It's E85...

  • Your camera sux dik on zooming in focus!

  • focus camera guy!!

  • awh dude thats intense makes me wanna go from muscle to tuner now!

  • omg!

  • OMG THat looks like so much fun!

  • Is turbo bad for the engine?

  • @d3boy2002 fd's come twin turbod from the factory.

  • this car sounds so nice. haha rotors ftw

  • they didnt ban it they made mazda govern it

  • You know... Ive seen so many RX7's sporting LS1 swaps that I did a double-take when I heard the sound of the rotary. Thats kind of funny when the stock engine sounds like it doesnt belong under the hood.

  • OOOOOOH SHITT!

  • i love my mustang gt w/ 5.0 but, i'd love to have an rx7 w/ a rotory, they are just insane... awsome car congrats

  • Damn.. :D

  • FUCK YEAH

  • they were banned from the class they won the year before due to the engine regulation change. eventually they lifted the fuel regulation too. unlimited fuel use now. it was metered in the old days.

  • sounds glorious..i could listen to that all day

  • to clear this up, the rotary is a 1.3 cause it only displaces that much air with one turn of the shaft and keep in mind that the rotors turn at 1/3 the speed of the ecc. shaft and that is why it is rated what it is. 2, for tuning purposes, airflow is rated close to that of a 2.6L as you have 2 rotors and they are offset 120 degrees in terms of cycling and 40 Cid per side. in other words, if you tune it compared to a 1.3L piston, you are going to be way off.

  • Why the fuck do these motors sound so good?!?!?

  • cause they are :)

  • the engine is a 1.3 hence 13b. but they are taxxed and insured in the UK as 2.6L as they fire on everycompresion unlike a 4 stroke motor, and they have 2 plugs per cylinder.

  • that is not why. they classify it as a 2.6L for taxes due to mpg classification and insurance to make you pay more. It is a 1.3L in every sense. It has nothing to do with how they fire. having 2 plugs doesnt matter either as Hemis do as well.

  • 13b (1.3 ltrs) can be compared to 3.0 ltrs piston engine

  • Mad comp surge

  • that looks like it'd be a lot of fun to drive around town

  • sick

  • its nuts...people wouldnt expect a 1.3L to make this much power but 13b's definately have my respect

  • They are rated at 2.6-3.0+

  • yeah the 20b's are badass and the 26b's are really nasty and sound great

  • I thought that the 13b was a 1.3 hence the 13

  • They are 1.3, but they are rated up a lot higher on a normal engine because they produce the same power.

    It's something like that.

  • ahhh okay so mt evo is making 360 whp what diplacement does that make it?

  • Uhh, whatever the displacment is.

A wankel-rotary engine isn't the same as your normal engine.

Look, For Japanese tax purposes, the displacement of Wankel engines is defined as the equivalent of 1.5 times the nominal displacement. So the 1.3 L 13B engines count as just under 2.0 L for these purposes..

    I've read 2.6L, just now 2.0, i've seen a 3.1...

    Make sense?

  • I was messing with you bro I got ya

  • :)

    It's alright.

  • sure, but its a totally different engine... 1.3 can't be compared to piston engine 1.3

  • so then your not allowed to compare it to anything.... makes sense?..no

  • of course it makes sense... its a totaly different type of displacement, the 1.3 litres of capacity has nothing in common with a piston engines displacement but the "litres" size. Apples and oranges.

If you knew the difference in engine design, you would understand.

  • no you didnt understand.... i meant WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO COMPARE IT TOO?... see how it makes no sense? you have to compare it to something, only other rotories are snowmobiles, ultralites, and a few motorcycles and go karts

  • why do you have to compare it?? There are bigger and smaller rotaries... You can't really compare it to anything fairly, its just not the same... Its like your trying to compare a 2L bottle of fruit juice with 2L of engine displacement... why? or comparing boost psi to compressed air in a balloon? See how it makes no sense trying to compare them....

  • ok but you can compare a evo with less than 2 liter's to a corvette with more than 5? thers other ways of compareing than the type of engine. plus why wouldnt you want to compare a rotory to a corvette, thats somethin to brag about

  • Im saying a rotary engine is a totaly different type, so you can't compare engines based on its displacement. LMAO im not comparing the cars.... Just why a rotary 1.3L doesn't equal piston engine 1.3L which was my original point.... why its not fair.

an evo and corvette both are piston engines... (bore x stroke) x how many cylinders = displacement. So you can roughly compare their engines.

  • I cleared it up and now he says he dont care but he sure did when he was talking to you so, I just put it into a more simple explanation as I knew what you were trying to say. I think darkey just doesnt know what he/she is talking about and when I explained it better for you, he had nothing to argue about and realize he just lost the argument all together and playing dumb or something now. I get that alot with people that dont understand the rotary and say BS about them.

  • Let me clear this up as I have on other vids. displacement, by definition is amount of swept area of the engine with 1 turn of the crank/eccentric shaft. It is not a full cycle like many try to make it out to be. whether the piston is in exhaust or intake stroke, doesnt matter. with one turn of the crank, it displaces X amount of air. Same for the rotary.

  • ok? idc

  • you dont care? you made the big deal. If you didnt care, why did you ask/comment to begin with. You wanted something to compare it to so, I made it clear as to how it works so you can do that.

Are you dense or just dont get it one way or another. first you say'no you didnt understand.... i meant WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO COMPARE IT TOO' then you say 'idc'

    Whats up with that?

  • exactly you proved your self wrong, what are you going to compare it to, not "explain to me stroke and displacement"...im not the one that needs to know...

  • do you not understand what I just put?? obviously not. I just compared it by definition of what displacement is based on a piston engine, seeing as they were built first. What did I prove wrong? if you mean the tuning part, is very obvious you know nothing about mechanics, physics, or rotaries at all. Do you know what 'stroke' means? What do you know about engines other than they are air pumps?

  • Cliff, sometimes, people just don't get it....

    They never will....

This comment has nothing to do with darkeyce02 but has rathered made me realize others on this site who simply state completely wrong INFO on rotary powered vehicles. Most have never owned one and for the ones who have did not know how to properly maintain one, and for the ones that have the most fun with them understand them completely.

  • this is true.

  • lol as in cars what are you going to compare it to, you didnt understand me cause in my comment i said the only other rotories are snowmobiles, ultra lites, and motorcycles... what, as in what other car or vehicle, thers only piston engines to compare the mazda too

  • the rx 7 and 8 were not the only cars to have a rotary engine. the cosmo eunos had a 2 rotor tt and optional 3 rotor tt. there was a pickup in the late 70s with a rotary as well. What are you trying to compare any way? You are not making any sense. if you want to compare, the rotary displaces 1.3L has the tq of a 2.6L and the hp of a 3.9L piston engine in general. Is that what you are wanting to know? if not, what are you wanting to know cause you are beating around the bush.

  • ....i said what are you goin to compare it too ther other hardly any other rotorys, so its impossible not to compare them to a piston because ther so abundant, displacement and etc. has nothin to do with my point

  • you can compare them. seeing how the rotary dominates its class and has for 30 years. it still wins 24hour races and has won more than any maker other than porsche. It is banned from le mans now so it cannot win it anymore. it wins scca and imsa races all the time and always has. what are you wanting to compare? what is your real question?

  • i know porsche is my fav, and the 787b wasnt "banned" they just have no qualifications for a rotory, they only have the specs for piston engines, so a rotory cant compete

  • it was actually banned. they later said it could race but not in the same class it won. Its like this... if you won the winston cup do you give it your all when you get placed in the Busch series? ummm no. Mazda said no thanks on that one. They banned it from what it was cause everyone but porsche fussed about the unfair advantage it had (porsche actually supplied the trans for the car so they didnt really say anything like jag and merc did)

  • from what ive read and heard it was never "banned"

  • it was caused Le Mans changed the main class to run 3.5L engines only. There are several classes that run in the race. the rotary could not compete in its original class due to the new rule. They could still race but it would not be the same as before. although a 2.6L it was classified as a 4.7 in the race. Mazda did race for a couple years after that but, it was never the same.

  • your wrong it was. they indirectly banned by changing the rules so it could not compete. V8 cry babies knew they didnt stand a chance.

  • exactly im not wrong, they did not just say it was banned they changed rules like i said wich did not allow it to race...thanx for proveing my point. goodbye

  • why else would they change the rules then? how come the rules only effected one car ? cause the previous two years were dominated by the new guy where no one else could compete and they thought it was unfair. what do you call that ? change the rules so he cant race. sounds like a ban to me.

  • did they come out and say "We are banning the 787b" no they didnt, Changeing the rules to inderctly "ban" mazda was hter intention. in the real worl they did not ban them, they just cant use that engine in that race

  • @darkeyce02 but the funny thing is that because that they did win the le mans they changed the rules so the engine could not compete? seems like someone is a little scared...

  • @nitrofed7 haha... V8 cry babies. i like that

  • @nitrofed7 Yea that was pretty gay considering it wasn't even the fastest car. It just happened to outlast the competition. They knew if Mazda improved on it, the market for piston engines would have to make room for the rotary. Imagine how much more bad ass rotary would be if they got to stay in racing. Power, fuel economy (that would be the sh*t), durability, maintenance, etc. All of it would have been improved substantially by now I'm sure

  • @xcruzrr6 the rotary is in every other type of racing just not the 24hr endurance on le mans... makes me laugh so many people say the rotary is not reliable...

  • bet you didnt know that chevy experimented with putting a rotary in the vette did ya?

  • People underestimate how powerful rotaries are...

And they sound crazy as fuck.

  • Omg!!! Love that Sound!!

You really have great power in that!!!

    Homemade Exaust?

  • 20PSI FOR AN ROTARY? u want to joke

  • Easy, I have seen 25psi on pump.

  • rly? wow! how many horsepower do your rotary has?

  • Did you read the title?

  • :O idiot thats not the same

  • LOL! yea, and i've seen all motor civics make 900..

  • Also, E85 has a higher octane rating than premium pump gas and better cooling properties too.

  • looked more like 300hp.

could hardly spin the wheels :(

  • ha ha dude your dreamin when he launches he switches to second and in the distance he slams third and the things still spinning!! 300hp HA.

  • pure sex

  • Sweet sound...

  • That's a bad ass fd, i bet you've made some v8s look bad

  • lol yep.. I have some vids of them if you want to take a look.

  • @wtfdidusay69 whats the fd?

  • That thing's got some serious compressor surge... But reallt nice

  • gonna throw a rod doing that....

    lol.

    jk !

    rotor heaven...

  • compressor surge..

  • crack what piston 25evets? its ROTARY! Nice work champ. Love it and sounds touch as.

  • what turnie a/r your turbo got man...iv gotta 1.06 gt35r garrett waiting to go in mine...just gotta t3/t4 at the mo, check out my vids

  • this turbo was a 1.06 gt35r too. but i have since upgraded :)

  • Awesome, looking at buying a series 8 as I type this!

  • OH MY GOD!!!!

  • sounds amazing !!!!!

keep the videos of the rx7 coming!!!

too much is never enough !!!

  • awesome

  • Hi...Im not from the states...what is E85?

Could you also perhaps tell us what dyno your car was tuned on & at what ramp rate. Thank you.

  • 85% ethanol / 15% gasoline

  • e85 is retarted its what the people who want to save the planet run even though it takes about twice as much e85 to make the car not run lean becouse it burns so much difrent.

and if you put it in a car not tuned for it it will pre-detonate and put pits or even crack your piston.

  • Well luckily people dont run it unless their car is built for it, and rotary tuners dont have to worry about cracking pistons:) and knock shouldnt be a problem because of the extremely high oactane of ethanol.

  • 25evets you dont know what your talking about

  • laid rubber 1st 2nd 3rd and then let up.. I have another video that shows the tire marks. check it out.

  • E85 is what the States call 85% ethanol 15% gas made from corn or sugarkane. That is the fuel this car runs on. It was dynoed on a dyno dynamics.

  • dyno dynamics read conservative %10-15 so those are really great numbers.

  • Nice! Probably laid rubber down all the way through 2nd gear and 60+mph

  • nice... sounds awesome
