Oh hes nearly FLYING Nice video looks fun I just started boating made my first Stitch and Glue and im putting a sail and or maybe a small outboard =D!
there are other vids of this guys, and it is in heavier wind if u look at those other vids u'll see that that the boat trim and the boat level are alot different
it's great to see a sailing hydrofoil work. we've been workin on this for years, and all i can say is: NICE job to the engineers who pulled this off. it's the next step in design and it's gonna make the traditionalists look at racing with a different angle.first step; multihulls. next step; hydrofoilers!
if i was rich i'd have invented that first! wooooo! great guys! more where that came from please! and after u've perfected it on skiffs i wana see it on j boats and then on open boats right up to the size of an open 60 or even an 80 ! just to take the mick a lil bit:D what forse wind was this btw? and how fast were you going?
the self adusting trailing rod suspended from the bow would suggest they have exactly the same setup concept as the moth, may i suggest that maybe the breeze is a little light and maybe the foil on the rudder is not setup to produce enough lift.

Sailed 18s in Sydney for 10 years and with apologies, thats the ugliest spinnaker I have seen but love the hydros!

That's not a spinnaker, its a code zero (kinda like a mast head jib)

Looks a bit tail-heavy to me. Maybe trim tabs on the hydrofoils like on the Moths would help?
