  • Thanks so much for this. I knew Paul from when we were both about 3 years old until I lost contact with him over 30 years ago. From your description he was clearly unchanged in so many ways - even the toast! (He loved it burnt to a crisp when were kids.) It was with great sadness to learn that he is gone, I would have dearly loved the chance to see him again. Anyway, sounds like he made some true friends. God bless you and thanks for all you did for him.

  • Thank you - it was our way of saying goodbye to a man that no-one in Glastonbury had a bad word to say about. He always gave people the time of day, and was one of life's true gentlemen.

  • What a lovely youtube video. I remember Paul well from when I ran the Vine (the "little vine") in Norwich. A lovely character, I truly have only good memories of him. We exhibited his paintings in the pub one time, and the first sold before it had got on the wall!

  • Thank you for posting this. I knew Paul very well when he was in Norwich and often wondered where he was now.... Very sad news. A true character.

  • Lovely tribute.. xxx

  • thanks for helping me know more about one of Glastonbury's icons, I hope he can receive all the good wishes people are expressing about his presence in the community.

  • Nice work, thank you

  • Good work! Ell.
