He was 31 in 1995 when he joined NBA, and never won NBA ring either. Since Carter won an Olympic Gold in 2000, and had a really good career (22 ppg as mentioned), the HOF possibility is open.

He was a really good player and one of the best dunkers, but career avg of 22ppg with no rings or final appearances HOF? give me a break

@LostKid115 Mullin never won an NBA ring, but did make 2000 NBA Finals, he also won 2 Olympic Gold Medals (1985, 1992), and much of his career has been injury plagued. Sabonis won an Olympic Gold Medal in 1988, had many other great International moments, but only played 7 years in NBA (1995-2001, 2002-03). He was 31 in 1995 when he joined NBA, and never won NBA ring either. Since Carter won an Olympic Gold in 2000, and had a really good career (22 ppg as mentioned), the HOF possibility is open.

Did any of those players tell the opposing team what play they were running? or that they didnt give 100% when they played? or that they didnt care if they won or not? or did any of them fake injuries too not play? or did any of them treat players with such disrespect? i dont think so, so thats y maybe they are in the HOF, and VC will most likely not.

@LostKid115 as for Carter, well he had several amazing years despite a mediocre work ethic and more than often lousy attitude. Despite having several "Injury Plagued" years, he still managed to accumulate over 20,000 career NBA points. Playoff wise, he didn't do much NOR was regularly there (only 6 playoff appearances). Again, I never liked VC, but the HOF possibility is still there, due of his solid basketball career, unless his weak work ethic and lousy attitude turns off the vote panel.

@Francozilla even sport anyalist were talking on a NBA tv show about VC, about two years ago I remember, saying if he should be a HOF and they all agreed he has incredicble talent and could of been one of the best players in the league, but his lack of effort, his attitude and the way he doesnt give 100% all the time.. will hurt his chances and most likely wont be a HOFer, so its not just me that thinks so.

@LostKid115 you seem to take attitude issue to heart, well Mullin & Sabonis were some of the most disciplined players in recent memory. Mullin had drinking problems early in his career, but sobered up and put several amazing years before injuries derailed much of his later years. Sabonis had tremendous success overseas, but injuries hampered him long before coming to the NBA, and was amazing enough to have some solid NBA years at an advanced age. Neither faked their injuries.

As a big man without a star point guard, its even more difficult to put up big points. This is why you see so many big men succeed when they got amazing point guards on their (ex: David West with Chris Paul)

I've seen this guy for years in Toronto, everybody knows his character and work ethic. And of course lets not forget the game against Seattle when he told the other team the play that the Raptors were going to execute. I don't see how anybody could think highly of somebody like that.
