  • Genius!

  • Classic! Ammazing insight into how clogging was part of and a result of factory work. I worked in a cotton mill and the noise of the machinery was deafening. I can understand how the echo of the machines still reverbarated beyond the hours of work. That this wonderful interpretation of their working lives is living still is remarkable, but unsurprising. This presentation brings it all to life.

  • Yeah! Stunning! Would it be offensive to say it reminds me slightly of Different Trains by Steve Reich?

If you want to do something with live music give me a call - electroacoustic fiddle and clogs and video and sound fx might just be a world beater. Vivaldi meets mike oldfield terry gilliam and spinning jenny. Rock!

  • I have been performing Lancashire Clog dances in isolation in New Zealand for many years, including Pat Tracey's steps. It is great to see the link between the cotton mill workers and their dancing so wonderfully expressed. With the reverberating riffs from the machinery still in the heads of the workers, after long working days, it is easy to see how these steps came into being. Well done Caroline and Sarah, and many thanks. Errol.
