The law says, you cannot expect something. You can only be sure if something happens. As example, you cannot kill anyone who's walking around with a knife outside your home. What are you going to say to the judge? "I'm sorry but I thought he was going to kill me?'

@strider0315 Actually Strider, it is perfectly legal to board a ship in international waters if there is proof that the ship is headed for a belligerent area. Gaza is definitely a belligerent area, and the ship was definitely headed there. So where is the problem? Also, aggression justified when attacked, beaten, and stabbed by a knife is it not? That would be called self defense I think. So when that hypothetical person stabs you, you can shoot him because that is self defense; legal.
