  • Only in The Netherlands :)

  • @edroy9 There's also one in NY

  • :O x..i cant find infinity on this keyboard O.o sounds cool sounds amazing really. not only that but it was introduced by one of daft punks members! :D

  • That thing probably weighs more than Optimus Prime.

Love the sound it produces. I would love to hear it without the background music though.

  • @eljan81 Just love the comparison lol

  • * shivers * Hades has one of these.

  • Awesome Zorine!!!!!

  • awesome instrument but the sound quality is ear rape

  • here because of v sauce

  • ja toch weer nederland he

  • I saw this guy in Colorado a few years ago. He's awesome to watch, if you ever get the chance.

  • VSauce2

  • It almost sounds like Tubular Bells...

  • great music and "instrument", nice work!

  • This was so EPIC!!!

  • I live in Florida. I'm gonna beg my dad to take me.

  • song????

  • I don't know. If anyone out there does please share.

  • what song is this ? awesome !

  • Where else than the netherlands, my country rullez!

  • Does the song/tune have a name.. and a clean version? I like it

  • that is amazing

  • thank you v sauce for blowing my mind again. and thank you sir for making it happen :)

  • Lol is he wearing headphones to block out sound?

  • Very interesting and distinct sound.

  • If you happen to be in South Florida in Feb 2012, You can see the Carillion playing at the Renaissance Festival in Quiet Waters Park, Deerfield Beach, Fl. Its worth going just to hear this great set of bells. For more info, go to the link below

    ren-fest.com/

  • ONLY FOR NINJA WARRIERZ

  • Thirteen tons! Now that's some heavy metal!

  • Neat, but you're still playing bells. Not some new musical form.

  • I marched this instrument my freshmen year.. piece of cake

  • That's crazy!!! I've never seen anything like that before!!! Very cool!!! :)

  • @msheavymetalchic its very kewl to see and hear live.

  • @Mystyred I bet! :D

  • It's not that rare, almost every college in the country has one, and many churches do.

  • @OFR thanx, my misteak

  • Omg I wanna play that sooo bad!!

  • It's either unique or it isn't unique: there's no "most unique." I think you mean unusual.

  • I believe one of these has been at the NC Renaissance Festival for the past 2 or 3 years. :)

  • @TheSeattleTexan its just like an organ, if u can play an organ u can play this.

  • i have a pocket version of this instrument. it only weighs two tons.

  • Not quite: I saw one of these at a renfare. It was a little smaller about twice the size of a grand piano.

  • I've heard of these before, very interesting concept. I think Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture included a carillon in its instrumentation somewhere.

  • Actually this instrument is not so unique it exists in bell towers all over the world.

  • It sounds like a Home Alone action sequence song.

  • can someone tell me the song in the begining of the video from 0:02 to 0:10

  • The guy is a twat!

  • It looks like it is composed of many things inside it looks a piano with wooden Xylophone connected a box of bells And that is what makes it number one on our most extreme

  • the backing tracked killed it went to all that trouble to have some cheesy ass stuff in background. It would obviously work better without it. I love the instrument though thanks for sharing

  • this should be one of those 1069190601969 view videos

  • dear santa

  • my penis is more unique

  • good look finding a carry case for one of those!

  • how does he practice??

  • @tallyrocks217 The way the instrument is set up might be similar to that of a piano, or something that can be put togeather at his house so he can practice say at home. Or he is able to practice using that because he has a huge property and a lot of money.

  • Ok, where do i get one?

  • he's not very good.....

  • @kielwhitt10 like you know how to play one of these? not saying that i do, its just there arent many of these so its not like theres going to be a master of one of these

  • a piano with bells instead of strings.. so innovative

  • Sorry but this is not the only one.

A group called "Cast In Bronze" has been using one for years !!!

I had seen them play for Disney at the Epcot center.

  • Weird indeed :P

  • The Bok tower in Florida, just outside of the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, is fairly popular and has been around for years. It just isn't quite so easy to move.

  • zoro...

  • No such thing as "most" unique. "Unique" already means one of a kind.

  • @tripjet999 But Danny Phantom is "much more unique than the other guys" :C

  • now u just have to make the robot to do all of that with songs programmed in there.

  • Kranker xD

  • so wack

  • Yeah, i have one of those in my room..

i also have that exact outfit, sometimes i like to wear it to bed

  • once I visited one of those with a school trip because I'm in the music program. It was really awesome!

  • You would be too if you had these bells clinginginginging in your earsssssss all the time.

  • the guy is freaky.

  • I heard a concert on this instrument in, what was then my home town, Herning Denmark. It was played by two classical Danish bell players and I think all bells were used. It was fascinating and above all LOUD!

  • @organfairy Love LOUDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

  • that sounds terrible. so unrelated to the background music.

  • NEDERLAND

  • Imagine an insane guitar solo with this..

  • Oh yeah, I play one of those!

  • @IceMasterDlux Oh yeah, love to hear ya!

  • Nothing new about carillon. We have a carillon tradition in Belgium that goes back to the middle ages, and it's still alive and well. Here the carillon combined with the other instruments is a bad idea. And the silly costume and mask is way to much.

  • how is it unique when its basically just a keyboard? unique is the jews harp

  • i played one at UC Riverside it was in a giant tower and has its own room with couches and crap in the room....it was pretty epically amazing

  • This instrument might be unique, but it still is not a pleasure to listen to a bunch of overused chimes. It's not a solo instrument and should only be used to accentuate something.

  • is there only 1 of these in the world?????

  • @villancico1976 Yes, There are more than 500 carillons in existence. For the official directory of carillons in the world

  • @villancico1976 no, There're lots of them in The Netherlands.

  • @villancico1976 no there in church the bell towers have these there not all that rare, Ill bet you 1,000 dollers there at LEAST 1 in your town.

  • We have one of these at my Renn Faire in Tuxedo, NY. It's very impressive, I always jump in and play a bit late at night while nobody else is on the grounds.

  • It's a very big, very heavy and very painful piano.

  • INSANE MY ears are Ringing Now oh Wait thats all them bells

  • I like how he has to wear earphones because it's so loud. I want to play this so bad!!!

  • Hence the expression 'carry-on' -- I kid you not!

  • A lot of universities use the carillon to play music (usually the school song) across the courtyard.

  • reminds me of a Dario Argento Film the guy and music

  • this instrument is featured in the movie "bienvenue chez les ch'tis"

  • nice, thats dutch! natuurlijk trots op nl

  • at song is he playing?

  • @Travis5857 I wish I could tell you but I don't know.

  • @Travis5857 Tubular bells LOL

  • carillons are a bit more common then people think. in the us, older multi note bell towers were smaller carillons. in fact a few shopping centers by where i grew up actually had small carillons. not 48 bell, but they were used for public performances when i was young…but like all thinks in the us, people forgot about them and they were taken down

  • just looked around and im really suprised to see that york minster has a bell that just comes under the weight of this entire thing, the bells 10 tons and sounds much better than all of these bells put together i think, the annoying thing about this is that the background music isnt actually being played by the carillon its being played in over the top of what hes playing, it kinda ruins it when its supposed to be a ''new age new world'' instrument

  • i saw a thing like this at a Renaissance fair. IS this in colorado Springs?

  • does this thing have an official name? id love to see more of this thing, thanks

  • @NORFIE123456 Yes, its called a Carillon You can visit visit cast in Bronz on the web and get all the info you want.

  • Amazing you area lucky and gifted guy. Please help save our church from closure.

contact me.Not allowed to give email, but if you can help I will find a way.

  • unique and great - excellent !

  • This is great, but I think this instrument should also be allowed to stand alone as a solo. It looses a lot by being paired with pre-recorded. Especially because the prerecorded music is way less innovative than the instrument its self. I would love to see more done with this instrument

  • I believe that he has made a cd of just the bells alone without any instrumental backup. you can look them up on the internet to reach them. Just google in cast in bronze and you should get an e-mail for any info you want.

  • I remember 20 years ago i seen in italian tv a similar instrument.

In a program called "Portobello" there was an old man who built a piano-bell on a tow truck..

  • Jordan Rudess

  • how did he practised to play that insturment? he would disturb the whole town..

  • Hey, if bells make people happy and gets their minds off things then go for it.

  • what a freak.

  • You should be so lucky to have his talent. Makes me wonder who the freak really is?

  • Who ever said freaks can't be talented?

  • Awesome...but i bet you it dosen't need to be that big....but when your instrument is the size of a cafe...it's one helluva status symbol.

  • I'm not certain how one would make it smaller. The point of the instrument is that it's made of bells. Like, churchbell style bells. Lots and lots of different bells, played rather piano style. For deeper notes, you need larger bells -- unless your listeners don't mind shrill, high pitched tones.

I've listened each time I see him at the local Ren Fest (in AZ) and it's just a pleasure to stop and listen and feel the music. It may not seem "cool," but it's very moving, in an unusual way.

  • Also, it's less "cafe" sized, and more "kitchen" sized.

  • That is so cool!

  • He is even cooler live. The music live is just awesome. I believe he will be at the Florida Renaissance fair in quiet waters park starting Feb 13. You might check the program and take in the show.

  • So apparently none of you have ever heard of the telharmonium.

A shame no one's tried to replicate it.

  • cool vid , amaing instrument , and this guy knows how to play sum bells ,lol, sounds like a theme of a 1980's arnie film without the bells

  • I think i have actually seen this before in real life.

  • This is really amazing, although I sort of wish he would just play the instrument on its own.

  • Sounds like Cirque de Soleil music. Hmm...

  • we marched that song 4 years ago lol

  • something you would always love to have in your backyard haha

  • wow thats sick!! Sounds like something Disney World would invest in for their Epcot experience.

  • i want one

  • That's so awesome, =D!

  • Cool Video...

  • WOw ...thats nice...i love that video...n also i downloaded that...im watching that every time...my frnds tooo love that....
