  • I am a islanders fan, B. Trottier assisted on most 0f bossy goals. the best # 22 #19 and i forgot gillies. long live the islanders

  • Great Video !

  • name of song

  • @islesoilesfan

reeling in the years by the rock band steely dan.

  • I love this video 70's music with 80's hockey

  • Hes my uncle:)

  • Trottier is in my hockey camp

  • Bryan Trottier is my dads uncle.

  • if i had to pick between him and gretsky to play a game 7. it would be trots all the way

  • @skyroe2 I'm with you. Trots was a better two way player and more physical. I remember years ago a reporter asked him what he thought of Gretzky's defense trots smiled and walked away without saying anything.

  • I agree that Trots is probably the best two-way center ever but I don''t think you can compare Gretzky to anyone because when you put up about 180 -210 points a year nobody cares if you don't backckeck or hit. The best thing to say about Gretzky's defense is that when his line was on the ice the opposition's line as often more focused on shutting him and his line down, and as a result the people out versus him didn't generate much offense. I respect the Islanders a lot (and so did Gretzky)

  • but all these Islander fans that feel as though their dynasty is minimzed (if that's true it may be partially for geographic reasons) should know that any fan in the know knows that Islanders' team was a dynasty & arguably the greatest one ever. I think at times you feel overshadowed by Edmonton & you feel the need to point out Gretrzky's one shortcoming to enhance the status of Trots. Neither is necessary. Trots was the better two-way player while Gretzky was the greatest superstar ever.

  • That was Bryan's signature move behind the net, a little quick centering pass and he ALWAYS seem to find Anders Kallur for the goal.

There will never be another team in any sport like those Islanders. An entire team of home grown talent and very early trades that yeilded a dynasty.

    Amazing.

  • Best power forward to ever play the game.

  • The pride of Val Marie! Sorry cuz, never even wore skates before...

  • the best native american no other native man will reach his stats

  • one of the all time great fowards!!

  • that dude was sturdy on his skates

  • wats the name of this song

  • @dudewasupman101 reeling in the years by steely dan

  • Brian Trottier --> Steve Yzerman --> Joe Sakic --> Jonathan Toews

Those are the best kind of hockey players...

  • nope I'd have to say the best hockey players, are the players who can score but do everything else just as well _i.e. mike fisher, ryan kesler, eric staal, jordan staal.

  • 1:07 lol

  • he is not crazy... i met him just the other day at a colage hocky game(NH against BU) and i got to shake his hand and get his autograph. he is a really nice guy.

  • My favorite Isle!

  • i shook hand with him and got my t shirt signed by him last week

  • I was a Huge Trots Fan growing up...He could do it all!

  • It's hard to watch the Stars getting pounded and scored on like that! Good thing we moved to Dallas. lol. Bossy and Trottier are #1!

  • I shook hands and talked to Trottier after an oldtimers game he played in recently. Trottier showed great class standing at the stage, shaking hands and talking to everybody like he was your next door neighbour. A credit to the game and a sincerely nice guy.

  • lol hes such a nice guy now

  • Him leaving his feet wasn't being cheap. It was a part of the game back then, nothing was wrong with it.

  • And Mark Messier is a Homosexual, this is just fact.

  • If they had the best mutiple punch in the league, then how come they took a "break" in between winning their cups? A true dynasty does not have breaks, they are in succession. The Isles could mimic their competitors, it was THOSE OILERS that learned how to win a cup from those Islanders.

  • Steve Yzerman and Joe Sakic chose to wear #19 in the NHL because they idolized Bryan Trottier. Who did that for Mark Messier? lol, no one, because no one wants to root for a queer. Trottier was 10X the player and male Messigay was, it bothers you because everyone knows he was a pole smoker and his gay fans hate being reminded that your "hero," Captain Mouth Stretch Marks like the sausage lol

  • Dude-this guy was kicked off You Tube long ago. He's a total insane person, locked up or shut in somewhere. The You Tube community doesn't tolerate crazy insane old creeps like this. My current channel ID is a tribute to this nut job who I got kicked off. When he saw my channel, with his then channel id photo on it- he went nuts and sent me 31 death threats in my personal mail in one afternoon.

Since then I have seen imitations of him, but I assure you he's gone.

    GO ISLES!

  • Mr. Trottier is a fantastic person in general. You have some really wrong shit goin on if youre calling Bryan Trottier crazy. I will glady talk to you on the phone about this issue you have at hand. Respond and ill give you me cell phone number

  • coffey whore you are one big douchebag

  • MIKE BOSSY waz better but still underated

  • I want to see a tribute video for Denis Potvin! Trottier is the best Islander along with Mike Bossy to play with them.

    GO ISLANDERS!!!

  • Messier couldn't hold Trottier's jock eventhough that homo would love to. Islanders= 4 cups, a dynasty a legendary team...the Rangers equal 1 years wonders, a team that had to buy a cup to stop the league from chanting 1940!!! lol Trotts was great!

  • To me, Trott's was the best all around forward of all time...best on face-offs...would put you through the boards...amazing soft hands, tough as nails, and a mean streak too....I think bossy would agree, that he was a big part of his success too!....The Oilers got to pile up stats in the weakest division in hockey for years...Canuck, Kings, Red Wings...jeez!

  • Probably my favorite Isle! Could score goals, set guys up and was tough, Tough, TOUGH!

  • Trottier was the Islanders version of the Oilers' Mark Messier. Power, grit and tremendously fit and strong.

  • Trottier was NOT the Isles answer to Mark Messier, Trottier was created to show everyother pretender......like #11, captain bendover, what a power forward should play like.

Messier was an assclown.....and I emphasize ASS

  • one of my idols is bryan trottier.other one is adam graves and third one is legendary brian leetch..

  • Im glad I found this video,thanks.

I was just trying to make the case

that Trots wasn't just a scorer

and playmaker but he was also

the hardest body checker Ive ever

seen.Thats why I'd take him over

a Gretzky type anytime.I miss the

Islanders of the 70' and 80's.

  • Bryan was a SICK player, I remember when he broke Ranger Mike Allison's leg with an open ice check. As Allison came off the ice, we were throwing popcorn, soda and spit on that filthy Raggie. Miss you Bryan, you were the greatest!!!

  • Spitting on a player shows a lot of class...You are all class! Im a big Trottier fan, but I do not want to put in the same catagory as a low class, un-educated white trash loser like you..

  • Best power forward to EVER play the game. Mark Messier couldn't hold Bryan's jock, eventhough captain homosexual would want to, still, Bryan is the reason Joe Sakic AND Steve Yzerman wore 19....why? Because Bryan was fucking great!
