I know the lord but not really into church that much, but I know that this is the greatest gospel group of all time. My grandma use to always play this when I was younger, I remember watching this special on t.v. with her.

Lol, WE ppl? All I was doing was pointing out a fun fact about the origins of Christmas as a holiday.....almost a year ago...

As for knowing Christ, I'm 90% sure I have more revelation than you......give me credit for. See how I didn't make brash assumptions about who you are? You sound frustrated though, is December 25th THAT important to you? Nothing I said took away from the gift that God gave us in Jesus, nor did I question the validity of His birth... since I believe it.

Let's just let it be the most important thing alright? Despite the historical accuracy of when we celebrate the birth of Christ, let us just be joyous that Christ was sent to this Earth to die for our sins and answer for them so we don't have to. Christmas is falsely reckoned as the date of Jesus' birth by human will,be it out of good intention of not, do u think God will find pleasure in a festival in which pagan traditions and practices are incorporated when the Bible clearly warns us about God's wrath over such paganism? This festival was never meant to be a celebration for Jesus but for some Roman idol. And Jesus never wanted a Birthday party, but simply wants us to remember His Death and observe Sabbath Day on Saturday.

The original festival was called Saturnalia (a homosexual god). That's when men got together humped each, beat their wives, and basically had a hedonistic good time.

Jesus was born in the summer. Winters were way too brutal for the shepherds to have been outside to see the star in the first place. And while we're on it, the wise men didn't show up until Jesus was about 2 years old.

@jgunna I agree that Christ's birth probably was not at the time we celebrate it, but the more important fact is that He was born and we do celebrate His birth. While there is no mention of 3 kings in scriptures, just 3 gifts, since there are 4 seasons, summer is not the only option for His actual birth. As for the origins of any festival, there can be debate, but if the devil can turn the things of God into evil, why can't the people of God turn the things of the devil into something good?

@SimplyMadeOfDust09 It's funny how things can be changed or altered for various reasons, and no one minds until it's done for the glory of God. If you are upset about the birthday of Christ not being accurate, you must be incensed at his frequent depiction as white and blue eyed which definitely does not reflect the people in the land he came from. Also the depiction of three kings, which is nowhere in scripture must perturb you as well.

Pastor was preach singing even then. Because Jesus should be the real meaning of Christmas to believers, and not the hype of commercialism that people have turned the end of the year holiday celebrating into. Jesus is not even mentioned or involved. Great Song and Holiday Red outfits. I'm a true Winan's fan. Thanks for the Posting
