First of all, the pill dose not "trick the body into thinking its already pregnant" (clever little pill!) but, rather by keeping higher levels of estrogen and progesterone in your system it makes the FSH and LH surge undetectable. The ovaries are still at work making hormones however no ovum matures.

The claims of increased cancer risk have been proven yo be untrue and were originally based off of a poorly done meta-analysis.

You are right about the risk of bone density loss and osteoporosis from the depo DPMA SHOT ONLY. The dose of hormones with oral contraceptives is lower and only runs a slight use of calcium which should come from dietary sources.

I've read about vit C and parsley being used to start menstruation. Vit C is a pregrestrone blocker and parsley dilates the cervix.

The shot is insane. It is such a huge dose of hormones at once. My girlfriend was on DPMA for some time and she hated it, but now she got an IUD inserted. Besides a few cramps here and there is working great.

oh FYI nuvaring is a lower dose with the system being close to the target organs. Less side effects! Same for the IUC Mirena.
