I think Davids cover is one the best on YouTube....very precise and he seems to catch the rythm and felling of the tune. ChipChip, what David might look like when playing "For my Father" has nothing to do with "confidence in the accuracy of your judgement", rather the lack of it. If you just listen to this cover you will find that David is a brilliant player, and makes this song he´s own while staying true to the original material. technically your playing is ok but you lack genuine soul. You play too fast in places and there is little inotation ( by this i mean there is no depth to what your playing - listen to andy mckee you can actually hear the emotion he places on certain notes. plus when you do your palm mutes it shouldnt stop - mckee has better flow. Sorry to be so harsh but this guy wrote this song about his father who died of cancer and completely destroy it.

I'll never be able to give same emotion as Andy because it's his song and he lost his father, I guess this song is reminding all the good he had with him.

I just played it in another mood because I found in this song some energy and melancholy.

I should have minimized a bit the percussion effect though.
