I bought the corn stalks at Home Depot for $7.99 a bundle. But they sell them kind of early and they usually only get one shipment, so you have to keep an eye out for them and move quick. Menards also sells them.
They actually look better after being rained on and blown around in the wind! I buy new ones every year, because they're too big to store and I'm afraid they will attract mice or grow mold, but then, on the other hand, I've had a corn husk halloween garland (not shown) that I've owned for ten years and keep in a Rubbermaid container and it's still in good shape. So, I imagine if you keep them stored in a clean and dry place they will keep for a very long time.
