@dmarie0791 i was at the show in boston as well. i can't really complain, instrumentally i would say they were perfect (except for the bass player missing his cue on the beginning of 'money', lol). the guy who sang on learning to fly sounded like momentary lapse of reason era gilmour to me.
if you haven't seen pink floyd with gilmour, this is the best you're gonna get, go see them, it's worth it.

does anyone know what the aggrement is between APF and Pink Floyd? I know there are tons of tribute bands out there , many are great. But none have done it on this scale! At least that I am aware of. These guys play very large venues, I can't imagine that Gilmore and Waters aren't getting anything from them.

I have seen them and you're right no band can replace Pink Floyd but... They are very fun to see if you want a live version of Pink Floyd music. They put on a very nice show and in fact, they are really the only cover band that I paid to go see in concert. It was pretty darn good. They've got the music down tight but in this day and age of frequency matching and cover singers I would think they would seek a little better voice match.
If you enjoy the music, you enjoy hearing it played well. These guys do a great job playing some of the best music I have had the opportunity to hear.

@ImAFrigginSarkyBugga - It's well known that Jagger hates tribute bands, but he can't stop the hundreds of Stones tributers out there. As long as he's credited as a songwriter, he'll be getting paid anyway. Oh, and interestingly, Gilmour or Mason won't be getting paid a dime for any APF stuff if their names are not down as songwriters. As for images such as the prism and the flying roo, that I do not know. They may need permission for that - but as for the music itself, I know I'm right.
@ImAFrigginSarkyBugga - If a band at the Dog and Duck played Another Brick in the Wall to one man and his dog on a wet Tuesday night, assuming the venue is properly licenced with an organisation like PRS, then Roger Waters would get an additional 20p (or something negligible like that) in his quarterly PRS royalty payout. Similarly, when APF play larger venues to larger crowds, the royalty that Roger Waters gets for his songs being performed increases. They don't need 'permission' as such.

there is only one pink floyd. im sure we'd all agree. but these guys have done an increadible job. obviously with love and passion. they are tight and i wouldnt hesitate to ever see them live. i saw pink floyd when i was 17, im now 40 and if i had the chance to catch these guys doing such an awesome job i would be there with bells on, at every show. proud of our aussie boys, best pink floyd delivered with truth and conviction. come to melbourne soon, i'll be there!

I don't think the vocals are close at all, that comment is wrong. You can't replace Gilmour's voice. However, it's by far the best job at a cover I've ever heard. The solo, tone wise, was pretty spot on as well as the music itself. Just not the vocals. Very well done I must say!!!
Seen this band 6 times now, Will see them 6 times more if poss, They started off doing small venues, They blow just abt any tribute band out the water, The guys from floyd even gave them some of there equiptment, and as mentioned they played at Gilmours 50th or 60th i cant rems lol....THEY ARE QUALITY !!!

OMG they are by far the best Pink Floyd tribute band in the planet! I play guitar and sing Pink Floyd songs with my band and I did my homework as well, but these guys are freaking excellent as a whole band!

I've seen this band twice, Edinburgh and Glasgow, they are amazing. Dave Gilmour obviously agrees, they played at his birthday party and he joined them on stage! Recommendations don't come any higher than that.

its obvious these guys did their homework..they are excellent, but no one will EVER hold a candle to the REAL pink floyd! it is MORE than decent of roger waters, david gilmour, richard wright (R.I.P) and nick mason to allow this band to ride their coattails and get rich in the process of covering the greatest rock band that ever was! they are more than very good and i would see them in concert in a heartbeat if the opportunity came to me..rock on, APF! ;)

Saw Floyd do the Dark Side set back in the mid 70s in the UK. Have listened to several live performances over those years. Aussie get's it really close. If the Dark Side album or CD is all you've ever heard then you should have heard Floyd "hack" their way through their own material. Every concert they preformed was different regardless of them playing the same sets. There was always some major variations. Rock on Aussie Floyd...we'll be waitin for you in Halifax!

The Kevin Spacey´s clone in the vocal should sing and the old white in the guitar would lip sync . So it would be nice ! he looks a bit with Gilmour .
It was thanks to these guys that I discovered the incredible sounds of pink floyd! Parents took me to see them about 7 years ago now and I will never forget it. Went to the gig without hearing hardly any pink floyd songs and for the whole duration the the gig i was sat there amazed. hopefully will see them again next time there in the UK.

Perka rewelacja !!! Pełen profesjonalizm. Kilka uwag miałbym do solo guitar (troszku przeciągnięte czasem) i vocal ale ogólnie spoko. I tak nic nie moze się równać z oryginałem ;-)

its obvious these guys did their homework..they are excellent, but no one will EVER hold a candle to the REAL pink floyd! it is MORE than decent of roger waters, david gilmour, richard wright (R.I.P) and nick mason to allow this band to ride their coattails and get rich in the process of covering the greatest rock band that ever was! they are more than very good and i would see them in concert in a heartbeat if the opportunity came to me..rock on, APF! ;)

@bhobo09 You can bet your last dollar that the boyz in the Floyd are getting paid!! These guys have sold over 3 million tix Worldwide. Hell they played at David Gilmours birthday party... imagine that and even played a few tunes with 'em!! WOW!!! David himself said, "One of the best/top things in his lifetime was seeing Pink Floyd live" - he was referring to APFS. WOW again... what a compliment for the boyz in APFS!! * Pink Floyd is the greatest... APFS is keeping Floyd in our forethoughts!!!

The singer looks a bit like Derren Brown.
Derren Brown's probably a better singer though.
Love the instrumentation though, you'd think you were actually listening to Pink Floyd. Vocals are disappointing though.

@mbrme posers? last time I checked Australian Pink Floyd are actually licensed to play these songs AND they have play with David Gilmour...... They are probably the farthest thing from posers

Saw Floyd do the Dark Side set back in the mid 70s in the UK. Have listened to several live performances over those years. Aussie get's it really close. If the Dark Side album or CD is all you've ever heard then you should have heard Floyd "hack" their way through their own material. Every concert they preformed was different regardless of them playing the same sets. There was always some major variations. Rock on Aussie Floyd...we'll be waitin for you in Halifax!

The Kevin Spacey´s clone in the vocal should sing and the old white in the guitar would lip sync . So it would be nice ! he looks a bit with Gilmour .

It was thanks to these guys that I discovered the incredible sounds of pink floyd! Parents took me to see them about 7 years ago now and I will never forget it. Went to the gig without hearing hardly any pink floyd songs and for the whole duration the the gig i was sat there amazed. hopefully will see them again next time there in the UK.
