Before ranting about "n00b" piloting etc, think about for one second. Is it probable that a first time student pilot is executing a landing in a twin engine aircraft? Not really... This is clearly some kind of emergency and the pilot manages to get everyone onboard down on the ground alive. Hats off gentlemen!

If you bounce, keep the nose UP, and bounce on the mains. Trying to "fix" it will induce PIO. Also nail your speed over the numbers!

Actually the plane was in trouble. Hydraulics failure. The pilot had to land with power setttings and trims only I think. If that was the case it was a great job :), not a poor landing.

@tcbaldwin2000 No. I saw it in the news or some program for about 5-6 years ago, where they said, that something was wrong. I think it was the hydraulics.. And its much much harder to land with only trim. He came in to high, and you can see, that he smoothly tried to glide the plane along the runway, but he hit it to hard. And you can see how easy small planes like that bounce. And ofcourse you cant land with only throttle.

Watching it again, you can even see him pushing the nose down!! Ever notice how airliners are nose up on landing? That is a proper flare. To hold the aircraft just off the ground until IT decides to stop flying!

I can see that none of you are pilots. He was carrying way too much excess speed on approach. To land an airplane properly, you must make it stall. The reason that he keeps hopping into the air is because the plane still wants to fly!! This idiot was trying to fly the airplane onto the runway!! We had a guy do this in my flying club in a cessna 172 and he inadvertantly retracted the nosegear on a fixed gear airplane!!
