i went with the shorty headers, 40s and tips. and had a mufflershop make custom true dual. i just wish i could afford a gt for as much money as i put into my car. but i gotta live with what i can get.
hey man i have mustang too and i have original 40's but am looking for a more agressive healthier sound. would you say the super 44's are worth the money and meet those standards? sounds badass btw
Sounds pretty good. I've been considering swaping out my 40's for some 44's. You should take a look at my video and let me know what you think about swapping or keeping.
@TysonDavid22 no (not trying to correct you like an asss im just saying...) 40s are louder then 44's it may not seem like it but by flowmaster standards the lower the number the louder it is aka flowmaster 50's are quiter then super 44's and they are quiter then 40's
go with stainless steel 40's they sound so much better when they are broken in friend has a 5.0 foxbody with them and wow they sound loud just idoling
Thanks. The cats are still on. There's no cross over. The Y pipe was cut to run the true duals. I just ran stock 2.25" tailpipes with the flowmasters. No tips either..yet.

Hey man I have a 1967 Mustang. I don't know whether to get the 40's or 44's. Can you please help me. And do I weld them on or not.
geektar03 3 years ago
It's all about preference. I'm not familiar with either one on a '67. Maybe try a youtube search to hear a few clips. They are welded on.

i say 44's a way deeper more aggresive sound on the older muscle cars i have a 67 F-100 W/ A 390 FE BIG BLOCK and they sound great

if your going to do the whole exhaust i would recommend getting 2.50" piping. with a mid pipe.
forry90 3 years ago
2.5" would work okay with your GT, but I wouldn't go any larger without a power adder. He already has an H pipe midpipe.
silver00stang 3 years ago
rockim1990, you have a 2.25" piping, same as the V6. You can just swap out the mufflers and it'll make a huge difference in sound.
silver00stang 3 years ago
hey how much did u paid?
pepitol88 3 years ago
It cost $325. It's a simply set up. No cross over, just the mufflers and tail pipes.
