there something like, if you are a loyal ducati owner and from the club, you can go ask to drive this bike for free or something. isnt that nice, but you ve to have an ducati for years or something, i dont know how it excatly is.

99% of the time an experienced rider will lift there feet as soon as they start moving forward. Wheras an inexperienced rider will keep there feet close to the ground in case they start tipping over or something- just basic instinct.

This bike is owned by ducati club netherlands. The guy in the vid was allowed to test ride it. Since it is not his own bike and even worse, very expensive he is quite cautious. I don't blame him.

Ok, I'm gonna explain what so many people don't seem to get. The Desmo won't go 200mph, but Ducati doesn't care because that's not what its made to do. As to the price hike above jap bikes and other Ducs, its about prestige and technology. Only the best of riders will really b able to use extra performance potential on a track. It is capable of beating every bike in its way, but Rossi will still smoke ur ass on a 250gp bike with u on a desmo. Fact is, its not made to be ridden on roads.

or Angeles Crest HWY Los Angeles or Outside Santa Barbara outside Ojai where this bike can be pushed in the corners to feel your getting something out of the bike Knowing whats rumbling under you with it power and Torque pulling Pulse of power is what its all about. Until you evolve into these higher exotic machines and feel the difference, you wont know what your missing

£40k is not that expensive, its about the same price as a good merc or BMW , not even as much as a porsche 911 , and look at how many of them are about.

a really expensive and rare super car costs what £200k plus and thats five times less, good value for money imo

£40 is very expensive, you came up with points that i'd never evan considered but look at it this way, the more money you spend on cars, the more you get, 850,000 or so for a bugatti veyron, or like 120,000 for a lambo, but look at it this way, the best bike you can buy performance wise is a Yamaha R1 or a CBR1000RR, or evan a 1098R but they all cost £15,000 and under, and the DESMO isn't evan a 200mph bike, so your not gaining a hole lot, but then maybe i'm missing the point and your rightlol

A Ducati I098R costs € 35 000,-, for € 15 000,- you can buy a japanese crap. Ducati is 186 HP (for a twin) which allows you to reach 200 mph with an impressive torque. try mountain roads, no japanese bike willbe able to follow you !!! You are right! Lots of morons believe the sale hype bullshit that Ducati puts out there. Its been dynoed Stock at 188-190 hp capable of 192 mph. Now, probably with some Head work and Omega 15:1 pistons it may get to 200 mph. Even that $8,000 ridiculously priced exhaust system only adds 2 HP.

the exhaust is all hidden on that bike. it comes out under the seat. he was just on the wrong side of the bike for the shot and didnt want to scuff the paint haha. guessing the bikes not his. amazing piece of macinery...
