@intense2u When a voice coil is burnt it's an indication that the subwoofer is blown. If your subwoofer is blown you'll want to see if a recone kit is available for your particular subwoofer. The OLM1612 most likely is not reconeable, however if you were to contact the manufacturer, MaxxSonics, they may be able to assist with replacing your blown woofer.

@BigLongJon21 Unfortunately these particular woofers are no longer stocked. We do carry some other Hifonics subwoofers, such as their Brutus and Atlas series, however this particular series is no longer available. As long as Hifonics subwoofers are in production we will be getting a hold of them, so if a newer model is released we'll be sure to have it on our website.

@13elsauz That's exactly what the rated power is at by Maxxsonics. Id' recommend pushing 1400 watts to it personally, but it is rated to handle a bit more.

@siko831 When an amplifier is going into protection mode there can be plenty of issues causing it. First, always check your ground connection to make sure it's securely fastened. Check your power line to ensure no interference is around. Then check your speaker leads to ensure they're properly connected. If all else fails, have an audio shop check your wiring and if there's nothing causing the issue, the amplifier may be defective.

@siko831 what kind of sub(s) do you have connected. you can have a short if the light goes on right away or if it hits and then goes in protection you could have your ohm load set too low for the amp

@famousk8ter13 As loudsoundman stated, Ohm loads are basically likened to resistance. 4 Ohms is more resistance upon the wattage than 2 Ohms, therefore you'll get more power off of 2 Ohms.

@TheNatestate I would personally go with Fi just for the reason that they are the best bang for your buck. To power everything though you are going to need a lot of power since you are going to be running 4, so depending on how much money you have, Crown pro amplifiers are nice and if you get one thats 2000, or 4000 watts, you'll br good. Now if you plan on putting this stuff in a car later, car amplifiers would work for the time being, but you are going to need car batteries and chargers.But

It might just be better to wait till your 15 or 16 and then get all of this stuff. Its money that you can save in the long run, not having to buy everything for your room and then have to go back out and buy everything for your car when you are old enough. I mean i had a really nice 12" in my room when i was 14 and now i have subs a whole lot bigger than that for my car.
