Looks like the M3 driver needs to improve on shifting, and it seems to be the cause of it not leaving the c63 behind a little bit more. Both great cars.
Well, I might be considered an AMG fan boy and I'm definitely not butt hurt. Interesting thing here though is it looked like the C63 was nosing up on the top end. Benz people...do you KNOW what a EVO3 C63 IS??! It IS A FULLY TUNED CAR! C63 has been tuned (Pulley, race headers/exhaust, Stage II intake, Evo2 ECU). Base C63 451bhp 443lbs the EVO3 C63 567bhp and 512lbs. Thats a 116hp increase and 69lbs more torque......thats not a mild tuning job on 6.3 (like American muscle....just make it bigger) compared to a blown 4.0 V8. So lets not say the M3 barely won here on a "stock" C63. C63 Supercharged would NEED a lower comp. ratio,little hp diff either way.

@fenderbass15 Nope that is for sure an E92 M3. Look at the side you will see the vent just behind the wheel arch (only M3) and then the quad exhaust is another give away.

The difference BMW has made hi revving motors, take for example the M5 instead of make the v10 in that 8.1L like the viper they used F1 derrived technology and kept displacement low.
why are some people so anal about engine size. BMW engines are small engines, thats it. there are engines in all sizes I wouldn't want a small 4.0 v8 I'd rather have a larger engine to be able to hold more power. @AMGkompressor20 Europeans don't measure speed in a sraight line. The benchmark for sport cars is how it handles on a track. With big engines comes big weight. BMW is more sport orientated, Mercedes is more luxury and comfort orientated, it's only logic that a AMG or Brabus is faster on the straight. It is not that hard to get alot of hp from a big engine. That is not the point. M-devision cars put the AMG cars to shame if it comes to handling on a track (what we preceive as speed /being fast)

@STC42O I'm sorry but there is NO BMW that could ever compare to the suspension of a Merc. The S class is the smoothest ride for its price. BMW suspensions are a lot more stiff. I drove a S550 and a 750i and not having a biased opinion at all because BOTH are engineering masterpieces. The Mercedes just rides so much smoother and I don't know how often you REALLY take your car to the track but I'll take comfort over a stiffer suspension any day. The BMW had really comfortable seats though!

@elitex50 Nobody has manage to successfully sell a Forced induction system for the 63 platform. At best (and I mean spending 20 grand and more) we can get about 550-600 horses out of the C63. I think 2 tuners tried doing Superchargers for the 63 and ditched the project halfway.

That's why there aren't any aftermarket supercharger kits available aftermarket yet...
@icedoutclk If you want to spend 20 grand on a pretty much untested supercharger, go for it. There is a reason no other aftermarket superchargers haven't been released, and it would be production costs and testing costs. No one wants to risk their beautiful 6.2 engine, I know I wouldn't.

@dudeisnotcoolio Your point makes no sense. The M's S65 motor has 12.0:1 compression and the AMG has only 11.3:1; There are many supercharged M3's around. In any case, there are numerous ways to lower the CR if FI is your path.
@JeffroGymnast Very good point. But it also comes down to the ECU tuning. BMWs seem to be more responsive/easier to tune than Mercs when FI is involved. It does take a great deal of knowledge tampering with the M156 ECU, especially when boost is involved, so that may be a contributing factor to why not many C63s run with FI. There have been many S65 motors blown by the G Power supercharger due to improper timing and a/f ratio, so I should have added that to my original argument.

@peckerwoodsfv The BMW does indeed have a higher compression ratio, but the reason so many superchargers exist is because proper fine tuning of the ECU has made the M3 more responsive to FI upgrades. I have no doubt that if some tuning company were able to work out the same for the C63 in an FI application, it would be out there. For now, C63s don't even need FI, they can keep up because the M156 is a strong motor. Also, I'm not a BMW fanboy, just playing devil's advocate.
Weistec offers a s/c for the 6.2L motor stage one is about 490whp. Whats to be seen though is if the transmission can handle that added power without some reinforcement.
also there is a stage 2 couldn't find the dyno chart but they claimed 620whp for the c63 motor

@fenderbass15 Nope that is for sure an E92 M3. Look at the side you will see the vent just behind the wheel arch (only M3) and then the quad exhaust is another give away.

@fenderbass15 They actually do come in a 4 door. Go to this link and you will see the exact same car. You can allso tell by the bump on the hood. As other E90 models don't have a V8. Anyway here is the link that will show you that the M3 comes in a 4 door and that this car in the video is an E92 M3

BMW rules all! Looks and on/off track performance its pure pleasure. Yah AMG makes a nice exhaust sound but the E55 is one of my favorite sedans. I own an e90 and if any of you have not driven a beamer at all; Do it! You will never look back. By the way G Power is on top! Just read and learn, the fastest 4 door sedan and SUV on the market. My dream car is the Hartge H50 with g power twin superchargers, 285 wide rear tire and allot of wheel spin!

why are some people so anal about engine size. BMW engines are small engines, thats it. there are engines in all sizes I wouldn't want a small 4.0 v8 I'd rather have a larger engine to be able to hold more power. Mercedes always and have always made big engines, it's tradition, it is NOT because they cant. BMW makes small engines, out of tradition. but realize this, Mercedes always is faster stock for stock and tuned.

@AMGkompressor20 Europeans don't measure speed in a sraight line. The benchmark for sport cars is how it handles on a track. With big engines comes big weight. BMW is more sport orientated, Mercedes is more luxury and comfort orientated, it's only logic that a AMG or Brabus is faster on the straight. It is not that hard to get alot of hp from a big engine. That is not the point. M-devision cars put the AMG cars to shame if it comes to handling on a track (what we preceive as speed /being fast)

@STC42O I'm sorry but there is NO BMW that could ever compare to the suspension of a Merc. The S class is the smoothest ride for its price. BMW suspensions are a lot more stiff. I drove a S550 and a 750i and not having a biased opinion at all because BOTH are engineering masterpieces. The Mercedes just rides so much smoother and I don't know how often you REALLY take your car to the track but I'll take comfort over a stiffer suspension any day. The BMW had really comfortable seats though!

@SchnellM3 I don't know how often you drive a Mercedes but if you took one under your wing for a week you would fall in love. I don't doubt that nothing will take a stock M3 that is what it was designed for. If AMG cared a lot about the track they would offer a C63 2 door as well. If you want a track car you gotta step up to a black series which is way too much money. Both are works of art but Mercedes is just so much nicer on the crappy bumpy streets of LA. It just absorbs the bumps.

But yeah, I totally agree with you 100%, Mercedes should of made a 2-door of the c63 and spent more time on making it more ''trackready''. That would probably give the m3 a run for the money on the track! Yeah tell me about it, by kws are crying now in the garage as we speak.

@elitex50 Nobody has manage to successfully sell a Forced induction system for the 63 platform. At best (and I mean spending 20 grand and more) we can get about 550-600 horses out of the C63. I think 2 tuners tried doing Superchargers for the 63 and ditched the project halfway.

Also, the C63 has a high compression ratio, so before saying something childish as "SUPERCHARGER will rape (insert vehicle here)" Forced induction would hurt the internals of the 6.2 if the pistons weren't forged. That's why there aren't any aftermarket supercharger kits available aftermarket yet...

@icedoutclk If you want to spend 20 grand on a pretty much untested supercharger, go for it. There is a reason no other aftermarket superchargers haven't been released, and it would be production costs and testing costs. No one wants to risk their beautiful 6.2 engine, I know I wouldn't.

@dudeisnotcoolio Your point makes no sense. The M's S65 motor has 12.0:1 compression and the AMG has only 11.3:1; There are many supercharged M3's around. In any case, there are numerous ways to lower the CR if FI is your path.

@JeffroGymnast Very good point. But it also comes down to the ECU tuning. BMWs seem to be more responsive/easier to tune than Mercs when FI is involved. It does take a great deal of knowledge tampering with the M156 ECU, especially when boost is involved, so that may be a contributing factor to why not many C63s run with FI. There have been many S65 motors blown by the G Power supercharger due to improper timing and a/f ratio, so I should have added that to my original argument.

@peckerwoodsfv The BMW does indeed have a higher compression ratio, but the reason so many superchargers exist is because proper fine tuning of the ECU has made the M3 more responsive to FI upgrades. I have no doubt that if some tuning company were able to work out the same for the C63 in an FI application, it would be out there. For now, C63s don't even need FI, they can keep up because the M156 is a strong motor. Also, I'm not a BMW fanboy, just playing devil's advocate.

Weistec offers a s/c for the 6.2L motor stage one is about 490whp. Whats to be seen though is if the transmission can handle that added power without some reinforcement.
also there is a stage 2 couldn't find the dyno chart but they claimed 620whp for the c63 motor
