Most people weren't cheering when they realized he might be seriously injured. Every stadium is going to have a few people who are happy to see a rival player injured. This stuff isn't Anaheim specific, i don't think we should imply that only fans in Anaheim might cheer for a fallen rival, i believe that every team has a segment of fans who would be happy to see an opposing player layed out.
ya as if they were cheering cause it was a hard body check, first of all that wasn't a hard body check it was a hard cheapshot when he didn't have the puck, second of all if they were cheering cause it was a hard body check they would have stopped after they saw him lying on the ice with a busted up head but only if they had any common sense and thirdly it shouldnt have happened in the first place because it was a very unnecesary hit.
I don't think that people are cheering for the injury, they are cheering and happy because their team made a hard bodycheck. Very hard hits happen all the time and most times, the player isn't seriously injured, as was the case here. I'm sure if the fans of the Ducks thought this was a life threatening situation, there wouldnt have been cheers.
Haha..... Holmstom is an asshole, he deserved it!
