Im using winSCP, ive had no trouble setting it up and connecting my phone, but when i drag an app or file to the phone folder, i cannot get it to appear on my phone. (i also dont have the 'installer' app on my phone - i use cydia and icy)

Remove the 2nd and the 3rd DNS IP. Where it says DNS there are 3 IPS, isn't that hard, is it?

it allows u to edit files so that u can change things such as vibrate time on sms's or add files such as ROMS for the Zodttd emu's

You can put roms onto emulators.

put on themes from your comp that you make.

take off videos from cycorder if you have a 3g or 2g.

Yes, it really has to be jailbroken, else you cant enable SSH on your iPod Touch or iPhone

Yes, you need wireless because your iPhone or iPod has to be connected to the internet. You could also try to google "SSH via USB", that will probably work too. Good luck and please subscribe!

You can only connect to the iPhone/iTouch if you have: - SSH enabled - The IP of the iPhone or iPod Touch

So its really not dangerous, you just have to make sure you've disabled SSH when you're not using it.

I get my Wi-Fi from my own house, you have to connect with your iPod AND your Laptop to the SAME Wi-Fi connection. Then you can follow this tut.

You have to use the same router for the iPhone/iPod as you're using for your PC. So if you have a laptop and you connect to (for example) your neighbours laptop and do it also with the iPod it will probably work.

Also check the other comments where i explain what you must do if its not working.

Try pressing the blue button next to your Wi-Fi connection and remove the LAST 2 lines from DNS, so the first 1 remains. Then try connecting again, it mostly works 4 me

Entered the right password? Look at the description, the right one is there the one in the vid is wrong. Entered the right IP? Tried changing to SFTP SCP or something else? Keep trying some things, i never had this error before. Else try asking it on a forum like ipodtouchfans

Yeah but I screwed up while putting the iPhone in DFU mode and now my iPhone is locked again with the 2.0.2 firmware which apparently doesn't have a winpwn or jailbreaking tool! ='(

Try downloading Quickpwn and then put in your 2.0.1 IPSW file in the same folder as your Quicpwn application. Run Quickpwn and jailbreak your phone :). Hope that helped!!

and then a new message box with "Server unexpectedly closed network connection".

Did you entered the IP address from the Iphone, see it at Settings > Wi-Fi > Press the blue arrow behind your connection > Enter IP address in WinSCP

If you already entered the right IP address double check if your SSH on your IPhone is enabled by downloading BossPrefs from the Installer.

If you did this all right try pinging to your IPhone by going (on your computer) to Start > Run > Type CMD in the box > Then in the black screen type "ping [IP address here]" without the "" and replace IP address here by the IP address of your IPhone.

When trying to install BossPrefs I am getting the error "Main script execution failed!". I found some youtube tutorials about this and they all use winscp/putty to resolve it, so it seems like a vicious cycle.

However, I noticed that from my PC (in command prompt) I do not have the commands ping and ipconfig, so it might be a local area network related problem. I will try it some other time from a different PC on the same LAN.

I had this error too, yesterday. This is what i did:

On your IPhone go to:

Settings > Wi-Fi > Press the blue arrow - This is where i had 3 DNS Ip's. I removed the second and third IP.

That worked for me, if it's still not working, try asking it on a forum like ipodtouchfans or something like that...
