  • the a10 is the hand of GOD HIMSELF !!!!!!!!!!!!

    FUCKING AWESOME

  • If the grim reaper(death) ever would be able to talk, his words would just be the sound of a 30mm from the A-10 warthog.

  • We're cool! TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

  • A10 dialog :

Hohoho .... PATAPATAFUTTUTU !!!!! Pull Back !!! vuuuuvrvvvvrvrrrrr... pullbackk !! ...xD (this sound crazy and very scary )

  • Yeah we cool man we cool.. dafdafdafadaf.... now pull back kayne pull back :)

  • .....fuck.......

  • @ 0:35 Captain Price?

  • That fucking gun noise gave me unexpected shivers

  • Fuck is right! I'd sure be hoping at that point that my mates on the other side of the Pond know my EXACT coordinates! A stray 30mm round can ruin your whole day in a hurry...

  • they probably were not really cool

  • That close call sure wiped out the smile on their faces.

  • Holy fuck that made me jump watching it on here so fuck knows what went through their minds , lucky lucky lads !

  • @2133chris

My bet is some variant of "ohfuckohfuckohfuckohshitohfucksweetgodinheavenIdon'twanttodie!!!!!!!"

    But that's just me

  • Good news everyone, If you can hear it, your still alive (supersonic bullets)

  • Comment removed

  • Shit that was awesome!! "BUUUUURRRRRRRRRR" PULL BACK PULL BACK!!!

  • yah we cool..............BRRRRRRRRRTTTTTT........hahahahahahaah

  • They call it "Close Air Support" for a good reason.

  • all i can say is holy fucking shit

  • i'd shit myself twice as much if i was that close to the A10...that gun noise is just not normal....its the scariest sound ever...like wired into our primal fears like snakes/the dark ect...

  • @22ndSASreenactor It sounds like a lion roaring.

  • that sound like a beast, a monster that fucking a-10

    HOLY SHIT!!!

  • really puts into perspective how scarythe a10 and that gun really is. Now Imagine actually being the enemy and seeing them come in.

  • @XviUSSRivX "looks like this joke.."

    *puts on sunglasses*

    "its getting really old."

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • They should issue spare underwear :)

  • the pilot think: ouuu i show them how i can fireing with my babe^^

  • a10's commin in with a danger close delivery!

  • Another example of american 'friendly fire' mistakes....one of dozens that cost 30= british lives !!!! americans are more dangerous to their allies than the enemy !!!!

  • @macbrack04 I know one US Army Captain in WW2 said that the Brits were not any better either. In Normandy, US troops gets strafed almost everyday by the RAF so badly they even bombed a Allied headquarter. In beginning of D-Day, RAF Lancasters bombed the US 82nd Airborne division. Around 132 GIs killed. I know a ground to ground incident, where two British Sherman tank fired upon US columns, killing 10 soldiers.

In Suez Crisis in 1956, RAF strafed UK 45 commando and HQ with heavy casualties.

  • @publicmario17 We seemed to have learnt the lesson tho'.......

  • @macbrack04 Ya but your government is cutting military budget so you cannot get the RAF for close air support so your troops relied on the USAF. The US air force has done a great job protecting ISAF forces out there. Ask any British soldier he will say the same.

  • @publicmario17 You're right mate. I'm with you, its the stupid press like "the Sun" newspaper, always make it out more than it is, its pathetic.

  • @dammthedude I don't what's wrong in your media i mean it give you guys a bad name so you guys fit in criticized for being anti-american. But in america we love you guys but what i seen, Brits do hate america i think that's ignorant.

I know the UK doesn't appreciated their troops when they get back home but in america we appreciated them.

No hard feeling but its the truth.

  • @publicmario17 Yeah our media are weirdo's, but we support our troops 100% mate, I dunno where ya got that from?

  • @dammthedude well to top that, i heard that some troops return from the UK got mostly shit. Some do but not all. Here in the US, they are appreciated by our people, no matter what they are from. I'm not saying in all but saying in general.

  • @publicmario17 what are you talking about we respect out troops as much as the Americans. There are huge parades for when they come back.

  • @cruzzlightyear im sure u respect ur troops highly ... but i agree with publicmario17 about the anti-american

  • Obviously you dumb cunts have never heard of danger close. Fucking dumb ass civilians keep your fucking mouth shut if you know fuck all, save your self looking like a fool.

  • @goofiegoofball

    Oh sure, it was planned.

I mean that's obviously the reason why they pulled back, right?

  • That guy's pretty cool

  • the a10 doesnt want them to swear!

  • For all you wanky Brit couch jockeys who whine about this video. It is called "CLOSE" air support for a reason. If you don't like it, tell your MP you want your taxes raised so you can afford to provide your own support for a change. Or get the armor and IFF indicators you commanders have been demanding for years.

  • @guamsst Lol, if only. Our moronic government has recently cut our miliraty budget (while were are involved in 3 fucking wars for gods sake) so now were are losing our aircraft carriers. Pathetic, England is going to end up with no military strength other than nukes at this rate.

  • Fuckin yanks again. Kill more Brits than enemys. Just swell he's a shit shot

  • @ianwilliams84 Then why don't u go up there and see how well you do idiot. The pilot cannot see the troops from the ground 10,000 ft from the air as they rely their info from the FAC and most of your ground forces where to bomb.

Unless you're been over there in the battlefield then shut up.

oh and a little more fact more Brits in Iraq/Afghanistan died in the hands of your own fire than we have yours and we have ours.

  • This is fuk'd how can peeps give an 89% thumbs up to our troops almost getting chewed up by an american a-10 just wrong 

  • whats this " BRRRRRRRRRRRRRT " on zhe end of every strike ???

  • @skoumi that would be the sound of the rounds leaving the 30mm GAU-8 gatling cannon. The reason you hear it after the rounds hit is because the travel faster than the speed of sound, and the distance from the point of impact from the A10.

  • Private Tony "Nicey" Rawson did die. Sadness..

  • @Blacksheep61 "NICEY" DIED? When? He wasn't dead at the end of this video.

  • @guamsst Yeah. If you google his name you'll find it somewhere, that's why I put his full name. It wasn't from this, totally unrelated firefight if I remember.

  • R.I.P nicey

  • Effin yanks all the state of the art aiming technology n still can't hit shit lmao British all the way

  • after the first pass the guy says "yeah we're cool", then the second pass and everybody is running away. i don't think they were "cool" after that second pass, do you?

  • @valekazogoth I think 'were cool' is just that squads term for 'were ok'. They werent saying "oh yeah, were so cool!"

  • by the way, nicey died in combat i think..read it on a different video over on youtube ;/

  • The A-10 the sound of god ripping you a new one =p

  • this guy has a great voice of a bad ass

  • Sounds like Chuck Norris.

  • Sounds like a demon roaming.

  • Sounds like a nightmare creature from the beyond.

  • It was a strafe and what else did the A-10 drop?

  • Woops

  • The Fart of God

  • Danger close.

  • Do you shit yourself ? We cool!

Huh wait a little more and said again . LOL

  • A-10...badass!

  • Well ozzirt, I have 4 deployments total OCONUS and not once have been put at risk by US, UK, GDR, Frogs, Aussies, Estonians, or the Italian forces,

Perhaps you should learn how to communicate better with those around you?

And your own mates will strongly agree, they love US firepower (air and ground) being close at hand when they are out on Op.

  • And that is why I'm not joining the Army.

  • Come back and talk to me when you've served 12 months in a war zone.

Incidentally, the blokes in the clip are Poms, but they were put at risk by Hollywood attitudes of the A-10 driver.

Friendly fire incidents just seem too common when serving close to US units.

It isn't predudice, just a healthy respect for staying alive.

  • Or just maybe those A-10 pilots were firing within protocol and those Brits in the video got to close? Maybe cause they wanted to see what would happen at a closer view?

I know a guy involved that horrible tank friendly fire incident some odd years ago because the Abrams drivers thought the Bradely on the thermals looked like T series tanks.

  • Do you have the slightest idea of what the "protocol" is for such events?

Like I said, until you have some idea of what you are talking about, you should keep to playing computer games.

  • I'm done responding to your idiotic comments. Once does not even need to be in the military to know what the protocol in this situation was.

  • And there's the proof, you are exactly the type of idiot i was referring to, a kid without the slightest idea of military ROE and not the foggiest idea of how things are done in the military of any country.

As I said earlier, get 12 months or so on active service somewhere, and I'll debate the matter with you.

Still got mothers milk on your chin and you know everything.

  • damn that was too close.

  • I would have shit myself only from the sound of the gatling gun!

  • Now THAT'S the definition of danger close. LOL!

  • i bet nicey did shit himself after all!

  • @1airassault Nicey's dead, show some respect..

  • @Rysher735 Seriously?

  • @grimgrinners Yep, KIA. Try to scroll down comments for full description.

  • @Rysher735 RIP Nicey.

  • i dont understand why a10's are even being used for this... surely there main roll with that gun was anti tank and for running down convoys... i mean how can a pilot spot the enemy in a desert on foot travelling between 300 and 500 mph at a few thousand feet, everytime they fire its complete guess work like you saw in this video luckily they dont often hit there target otherwise these guys would have been fucked, apache's are excellent in this enviroment a10's just seem to be fucking useless

  • Actually it's not guess work. The tracking and optical systems on the A-10 are superior to just about everything flying. Odds are the pilot not only saw the British troops, he identified them AS friendlies and saw hostiles advancing on their position. No he put his fire exactly where it was needed.

  • are you insane? if the optics on the a10's were as good as you think they are theres no way a a10 could misjudge a convoy of british armor and jeeps as insurgents... (another friendly fire incident) if there were enemies advancing on the troops the troops would have easily been able to see them and lay down fire... how would you know exactly what the situation was that they were being advanced on were you the pilot? there have been a fair few friendly fire incidents to do with a10's fatal or not

  • Unless those troops have X-ray vision they have no way of seeing into the trench line that was forward of their position (you can just make it out near the top of the picture at the beginning of the video.) The pilot can.

If you want to discuss another fratricide incident then discuss it in the appropriate video. And yes, I do know a thing or two about targeting, fire control and long rage optics and tracking. It was my job for 10 years.

  • Correct, .... The Yanks watch too many Hollywood movies and consequently believe all their own propaganda. Not really a healthy idea in a war zone.

  • Sorry to say this, but you're wrong.

  • And how many months have you spent in the front line with them?

Sorry, but you have no idea, as I said, you believe too much of your own Hollywood BS.

  • Sorry to tell you, I don't watch war movies that much anymore and I think I know the difference between Hollywood and real war, you don't have to be in the military to understand what happens over there.

Sorry you have a poor prejudice opinion of us Americans.

  • and the friendly fire incident to do with the convoy both a10 pilots circled the convoy for a few minutes trying to indentify them and were still unable to so i think you REALLY over estimated how good a view pilots have... if they can't identify large vehicles i doubt they can tell the difference between friendly troops or enemy in the middle of the afghan desert unless there was a very large presence of friendly's

  • You seem to be going a long way defending your allegations. In their mission briefings these pilots know who is where and when. If a platoon decides to go foraging or deviate from their plan, they do so at their own peril. The days of firing on unknowns is largely over. (I say largely because it's been a problem since people first decided to kill each other; and not likely to go away until we stop.)

And punctuation is our friend. Please learn to use it.

  • and you still have not answered my question are you the pilot? no so how could you possibly know what was going on? and with what the troops are wearing yes they would be pretty hard to spot from the air they're in the middle of the desert wearing desert camo... and you still haven't explained why two a10's circling a convoy of armor on a road could not tell what they were even though they were told there were friendlies in the area? so you really think they can tell who these guys are?

  • Well, you're making a lot of bad assumptions (no surprise.) I was part of a helicopter gunship crew, a door gunner actually. I easily know more than you do. And as part of what's going on is to know where friendlies are. BAG GUYS THERE DON'T MOVE IN CONVOYS. It's routine for aircraft to fly cover over convoys. If you knew procedure then you would know that. That was not a direct fire engagement. Learn the difference between that and danger close. I hope you deploy. Then you will learn.

  • Laserstargets?

  • that was not a cluster bomb, that was exsploding rounds from the a-10, u can here the sound of the gun being fired after the rounds hit the ground, that is scary though, u cant hear the gun untill the rounds have already hit cause they are traveling faster then the speed of sound, so u cant tell if ur being shot at by just listening to whats going on a round u. scary stuff, scary sound, very cool . o by the way look out when a-10s are flying over head!!!......

  • i know alot of brits

they really are some good people america loves you even though it may not seem like it lol

  • clusterbomb @ 0:22!! wtf

  • A-10 pilot to troops: "You think that's funny? You think you're cool?"

  • bloody hell clearly A-10 pilots don't like the brits:P

  • Maybe he was telling them to pull back?

It was only a very quick burst, perhaps as a message to the Brits?

  • Erm no, they would not fire a Gau-8 about 20 feet away from then to "tell them to pull back"

It was proberly because they hadn't marked themselves so the pilot wasn't awear that there were friendly soldiers near by...

  • that would be the most fearinducing sound i can imagine hearing out of the sky.....goddamn, that sounds like armageddon coming

  • My god the sound of that A-10 firing puts the shits up me

  • and the A-10 says BRRRRRRRRRT!!!

  • a little to close indeed

  • too close

  • WOW...F'n Danger Close!

  • faaarkin' 'ell

  • What a firing show...the A-10 is a real nightmare

  • yup

  • Enemy = closer that the Brits realized. View from above = definite advantage. I've been close enough to hear the empty (steel) brass hit the ground. That close, your guts rattle when the gun fires.

  • I don't know if the enemy was really that close, may have been an overshot from another position because up in the air football fields turn into inches and these aircraft move so fast.

  • well thats bullshit, they don't drop the cases. nothing is dropped from the A-10, the cases get recycled.

  • Yeah, and it's bull shit I was EVER in the Army to begin with, right? What's obvious is you do not know anything about the first generation gun system.

  • we are talking about the A-10 here aren't we?

  • @DrMotorDude

The brass isn't dropped so there is less of a change in weight when firing, it's a balance thing. I'm pretty sure the last planes to drop brass from their gun(s) were WWII aircraft.

  • Definitely NOT COOL!!! I would have been sprinting and shitting myself as fast as possible

  • Comment removed

  • jesus i love the sound when they fire the guns gives that humming noise afterwards bvvvvvvvvvvv!

  • Sick

  • proof that the GAU 8 puts fear into anyone on the bore-end of the gun; even the British soldiers get too scared when the rounds get a bit close to them.

  • oops.

  • Notice:Dead before you know it

  • I love that roar the gun makes. It turns me on.

  • That roar gives me chills all over,

sounds alot better in real life, you feel the roar not just hear it.

  • 0:05-0:06

    Scary.

  • It is monster..... i dont want be hunted by this....

and for those who want know how far was plane when was shooting on friendly.....0:24 impact 0:30 sound after while of thinking i gain this

s=(v1*v2*6s)/(v1-v2) where v1 is speed of bullet and v2 is speed of sound 6s is diference between inpact and sound. v1 can be about 1000m/s v2 340m/s then u gain 3090 meters. i think it seem corect...plaese try recount it.

  • God A-10s make the most badass sounds. It sounds like a monster from your worst nightmare. It's a giant ass gattling gun that's like 20 feet long. The entire plane was built around it. And the incoming rounds give you a good idea of its firepower. Such a beastly machine. Only thing that pisses me off is the damn Brits will whine about friendly fire some more LMAO.

  • Damn, you can hear the dirt falling after the bursts. That was close. Either some FAC/FO screwed the pooch, or these Brits were somewhere on the map that they weren't supposed to be.

  • From the looks of it, the enemy was really close by.

  • or the fucking yanks tried to kill the brits again!!

  • I counted 8 seconds after the first near round hit, and the sound of the cannon that fired the burst. The A10 is about 1.5 miles from these Brits, and some FO goofed... that was well within "danger close" on a unit not under active attack.

The sound of that 20mm cannon alone is enough to make you faint... I've never heard anything so...evil for the lack of a better word. Then get 20mm HE bursting that close and you know you're having a bad day!

  • First off its a 30mm cannon not a 20mm cannon and there were 2 bursts not 8 seconds between shots. In this case there were 2 A-10s or 1 A-10 that did 2 strafes as the first one was much further away as can be evidenced by the cloud of dust/dirt in the distance. Yes I know the A-10 obviously uses supersonic ammunition but if you're trying to make that case then technically there is 17 seconds between the sound you hear and the rounds impacting the dirt if you insist there was only 1 burst.

  • Your right... I'm thinking of the Vulcan. The A10 II has the Avenger.

I'm talking about the last burst.... the one that put 'em to running. Sound travels about a mile in 5 seconds. Thunder or gunfire, you can rough guess the distance. I was talking about distance... not seconds.

  • Yeah we're cool BOOM BOOM BOOM aaaahhhhh!!!!!!

  • Really nice vid !!!

Can anybody tell me what the guy is saying at 0:13 to 0:15 ? thx !

  • close call!

  • omg..its too dangerous..

  • That thing sounds like an angry roaring beast in the sky. You know whatever suffers the wrath of that roar has been obliterated. That roar sends a message to anyone who lived to hear it in the battlefield. The warthog never stays moth balled too long, its hard to find a replacement for it.

  • Nice vid, super fun to watch.

  • you sir are a CUNT!!

  • Actually we are the best trained infantry in the World. Sadly our Government are a bunch of ******* who don't spend enough money on equipment for them. That's why we sometimes have to rely on support from the USAF.

  • The brits are some of the most professionaly soldiers around. No question there. Even they like the support from our boys, at least the ones I've met.

I'm just sick of everyone blaming blue on blue problems on our country. Shit happens. To everyone. Technology goes wrong. A misplaced number, ect. Good that none of these guys got hit though.

  • @Grubilman Yes they are some of the most professional soldiers thats why we kicked their asses multiple times even when they were getting full support from other 3 countries

nothing personal i have friends british

  • Haha Holy shit, I bet that upset a few ppl, Good old USAF nearly blowing the Brits to Smitherens. But hey wat are friends for .

    An Aussie Alie

  • You'd be dead before you heard it huh?

  • You'd be dead before you knew 150 30mm API rounds were landing on your dome piece. Forget about that beautiful sound.

  • i know u didnt want ti offend me :D

dont worry i had much worse replies from nazi shit heads...

I can wait the 3 years left for me to go to the IAF ...

    Ido.

  • You've caused us enough trouble, supporting your people had an effect on us, the twin towers. I think you're mooching off of our government enough already, and taking back land that isn't and was never yours is a little to much.

  • you r talking bullshit.

    soory.

  • Bullshit, tell that to the people who lost family in the twin towers, jew.

  • Well, you tell me, we've supported you, in return innocent lives were lost. You know why? Because we supported you, more than you needed, you leeched our money. The Iraqies killed innocent people because of us supporting you, now we're in a war that has been going on for many years, now our economy is dropping, all because of you people. Helping you, fuck, I see no change, 14 year old teen girls shooting themselves up with heroin on the streets in your country. What're you doing with out money?

  • you r crazy.

u blame israel for things that she have nothing to do with them!

    AND U KNOW IT.

    U r just angry cuz u r a nazi or somthing.

Open your eyes and stop hating.

    I am done with you.

this is y last comment here.

  • Do some research, the Iraqies even said their actions were caused because of helping you, you're going to try and deny what the terrorists said? They SAID it, and they're the terrorists. Yeah, sure let's go with me being a Nazi, I never knew being a half mix of two things that don't include german was being a Nazi.

  • I'm sorry, you're most probably right but EVERYONE leeches our money, we're the primary economy in the world.

  • mabye Israel isn't in Iraq butarent we your good friends 2? :)

    Ido.

  • that gun sounds awesome

  • This gun sounds like a fuckin big monsrer in the backround roaring :D

  • i agree, its awesome.

  • Love the sound from the GAU-8/A Avenger :D

  • I was trying to figure out if the guy in the very front was lasering the targets

  • the sounds of hell

  • +1111
