Plus games are bigger, itunes is easier to use, it's an excellent photo frame for a wall, books are good to read on it, documents are good to make and so are movies, and it's just that little richer than the ipod touch and the iphone... AGAIN it really all depends who you are, these features may not be your fancy, but a lot of people seem to like this, it's not really MEANT to be like your ultra takeover of a laptop, it's a convenience machine, more so for students like myself :)

Yeah it may have the same abilities as an iphone or heck even an ipod touch, but it really all depends who you are. It's an all in one bundle, so yeah it may be holding what's usually on an ipod touch, but the ipod touch is smaller, it's just better to at least have that movement in your hands on the ipad. And yeah you can get a netbook, but again it depends who you are, some people may be best suited for this, like college students, but for real at home gamers, obviously this is a no go.

rather waste my money on a laptop. atleast with a laptop i have the ability to portably play mmorpgs. real fps games and a ps2 emulator. all for the same price and probably cheaper than an ipad. tablets are more protable? still doesnt fit in your pocket and you will still need a big or backpack to carry it if you do not wish to hold it in your hands on all day. but if the Ipad was around 300 bux yeah the ipad would be an amazing machine

well , lets put it this way. in 2004 sony introdused the sony psp in 2005 it was in stores all over the globe... THEN it was cinda cool yea... THEN nintendo (lame) comes with the ninrendo ds (big bulky 1985 technology with touchreen) singletouch

Actually, it's a big ipod with upgraded internals. What netbook doesn't support flash, has a closed app network, doesn't have standard ports without expensive adapters, no optical drive, and is bound to the shitty AT T network with a micro sim card? Plus many more features. Also, why the fuck would you want to read an ebook on a LED screen, that would fuck up your eyes.

i think this product will change the future. it isnt ment to replace computers, or ipods, or gaming consoles, it is its own product, that just touches on those features. imagine your at home, you wanna see a movie, and instead of starting up your computer, you can quickly check it on your ipad thing. it has a month of standby battery, i can see this as a sharing device, like a low cost computer, that families will have and thye just lay around and everyone uses a bit of it.
