Yeah, talk about quality in toys. Fisher Price made some of the BEST toys in the 70s and 80s. My sister had the Adventure People since she was older than me; she had the jeep with the two guys and boat, and the safari crew with the animals. As a child of the 80s, I missed out, but I vaguely recall playing with them before my mother gave them away when we moved. Too bad Fisher Price can't bring back good quality toys like this anymore. I'm with you; bring them back!

My parents moved 3 years ago and tossed out a bunch of stuff, I may not have had the time to intervene. I know they didn't throw out Lego kits because I took them apart for moving including the instructions. The memories of the past will remain, why can't the toys

We had all those sets you showed plus all the others.Then Hasbro came out with the GI Joes they were the same size but their elbows and knees bended.Plus they came with guns and tanks and stuff.By then I was to old to play with toys.

I had adventure people with a jeep and another with a spaceship. And instead of an Atari my parents got me a TI994A. Instead of a rubics cube I got a pyramix.
We raided my Mom and her 3 siblings' toys when we were kids. I remember they had a bunch of those dolls with jointed limbs and weird hands...some of them she was calling "Dawn" doll. lol
You never know what you had till its gone. I never played with Adventure People but they seem like they were awesome. Good luck getting through to the toy people!

It's all about GI Joes! The bendy knees and elbows and everything. Completely classic. Toys these days just don't maneuver at all. They're like statues.

Oh man, the adventure people were awesome. I had the jeep, canoe, camping combo. I'd take it down to the creek and play for hours. Thanks for bringing back great memories.

Perfection. I figured this would be a "good" video since your work is always enjoyable, but this turned out to be an "excellent" video. Perhaps it was because I know adventure people, or maybe just a more primal identification with the theme in general? Great job.

my husband literally freaked out when he saw this video. he remembers the gorilla... they would attack the people with the gorilla. they also loved the scuba diver and called him "the man from atlantis (like the tv show)."

We had all those sets you showed plus all the others.Then Hasbro came out with the GI Joes they were the same size but their elbows and knees bended.Plus they came with guns and tanks and stuff.By then I was to old to play with toys.

they still have adventure people but now they have squashy little faces with enormous noses and they all look like dwarves on steroids...but the dragons and stuff that fly and bite stuff...they are the coolest ever.

I had adventure people with a jeep and another with a spaceship. And instead of an Atari my parents got me a TI994A. Instead of a rubics cube I got a pyramix.

We raided my Mom and her 3 siblings' toys when we were kids. I remember they had a bunch of those dolls with jointed limbs and weird hands...some of them she was calling "Dawn" doll. lol

Toys R Us have some discovery series I think teamed up with Animal Planet. Very similar. I had the ocean set. The octopus was epic.

I had the orange jeep. I also had a green van with maybe a motorcycle in the back. Damn! I wish I'd held on to those. I was never a girly girl. I loved those toys!

I still have my collection of Richie Rich comics I used to buy for 50 cents! I miss the Saturday morning cartoons from the 80's. Saturday mornings are just not the same any more.
