  • i give up.

  • Where to download the theme you are using? :O

  • this is pretty sweet. just got into renoise myself, the only experience i have with trackers is lsdj for the gameboy. how did you make the weird tonal snare thing? retrig and reverb?

  • Great shit man! I'll be downloading your albums.

  • GREAT!!!!!

  • wow, this is great. been looking at getting renoise for a while. have been using reason and ableton for years, but downloaded the RNoise demo today and am pretty overwhelmed. cheers to more great tracks!

  • how the hell can you automize snare rushes in renoise? since you have to loop them in the sample editor

  • most trackers have a retrigger command that you can sequence. If not most allow for sample offset, so you can set the tracker to 8/8 time(for 32nd notes) and then for the snare rush have the snare then a secuence of playing the snare from a specific spot using the sample offset.

  • wow. listening to your other stuff now. awesome.

  • could u share the rns file?

  • AMEN BREAK!

  • Breakcore? Dnb? IDM? Whatever, awesome song *.*

  • Awesome song! Where is the best place to start gathering samples from? I just got Renoise and it doesn't have many samples to work with. Any tips for a Renoise newb?

  • I think you should gather samples from wherever, get a good portable recording device, like a zoom or something from a music gear store. Collect it from movies. Of course you can pick up sample packages but you're going to sound unoriginal if you use them. Try finding your own, or at least process the ones you use.

  • always love those straight, no vst renoise tracks, nice.

  • Please tell me i read this somewhere else. Why is it bad using VSTi's? They're just sound better but take more CPU so you need a good soundcard. Or is there something else?

  • great job :)

  • awesome

  • nice track man! i used modplug for about 7 years, then my computer crashed and i lost everything, stopped making anything for about 3-4 years... just got renoise a little while ago and am working on my first track in a long time, thanks for the inspiration, this program is taking a little while to get used to

  • I love you

  • GREAT track. have you ever messed around with Modplug?

    GREAT TRACK.

  • Good Stuff, I just think you put too much bass tho

  • maybe there's something i dont understand, but duz renoise utilize sampled beats which are provided with the software which are then altered by the user or is the user producing the beats and sampling them thereafter. i just want to know cuz it seems like the beats aren't ure own. not crticizing the music, i thot it was excellent.

  • That's a good question:

Renoise, like all trackers let's you choose your own samples, most of the samples in this track are my own, except the amen break, but that one I have also altered quite a lot, so as to make it sound better. And yes, the samples are then altered using pattern commands, retriggers and many other things.

  • sorry for the late reply, but yeah amazing track...im guessing sp and at are influences to you?

  • very much so, I started listening to AT when I was 12.

  • Amazing! The way the beats meld together to make one solid noise is amazing! I can already hear the fans in the audience screaming for you!

  • ahh! dont need plugins:D only for synths and stuff

but thats why samples are better and cheapers:D

    nice tune!

  • Awesome track man! With no plug-ins! Keep evolving man! We need more music like this in the scene!

  • I just love the way Renoise looks when its playing back patterns.

  • wanna say - i know theres a lot of breakcore out there, but this is good. it really captures the old school jungle sound i think. especially like the gated pad effect.

  • Thanks man! It's what I had in mind, some people just don't appreciate it. Cheers

  • nice one man! its as if this tune is saying "good luck, mr DJ!".

  • wow ,,,

ive only just started using renoise this is epic

btw were did you find the amen sample you used on this track i know you've used other stuff but i cant find a clean one any were :/

  • this was the first track i made in renoise ^^

but don't be discouraged, i've been making music since 1998

  • no plugins? how'd you make the reverb? ;p

  • it's the internal reverb

  • Where the hell did you get that amen break it sounds nice

  • it's actually not just a amen, i've put several sounds on top of it, there are like 4 tracks which aren't visible. there are stereo effects that can't be heard on youtube in the actual song.

  • how do you set intsruments do different channels? nice work btw!

  • booyaka!

  • nice vid/tune, but why not release the rns/xrns?

  • Awesome track!

  • respect!

    great stuff

  • How long have you been using Renoise? Very awesome breakcore.

  • Not very long but i've been making music for 12 years now

  • im on renoise now . But i stil find hard to work with amen

  • yeah i agree although i find most things hard to work with, i just get frustrated and give up, i lack the motivation.

  • Try funky drummer instead... it's a much punchier break. The amen's notoriously difficult to master so it sounds big... most people actually layer it with other drum hits ;)

  • hi is this easy to use and can i get this free from somewer ? send me a msg if u can please

  • What Speed are you running this at and how many bars per pattern? Looks like speed 1 and 64 bars but just curious!

  • 64 bars, speed 3, 380 bpm

  • HEy is'nt the speech part taken from Mutant cunt sniffer

    and got edited or reversed?

  • A scanner darkly

  • i'm liking the breakbeat. good job man

  • RENOISE ROCKS!!!

  • Renoise ownes, bought it for 60 euros :P

I mean, with FL it's practically impossible to make beats this complex and in Renoise it's nothing.

  • well, i'd say you actually can do it in fl-studio, logic, cubase or whatever (Not in Reason). But Renoise makes it less time-consuming to do these type of edits.

  • I'm still learning and playing around with sample offset. The only thing that really confuses me in renoise is how to decide on how many lines, what speed and bpm...

  • I can't figure out Renoise for the life of me...sick stuff man. Nice glitchy Amen choppage for sure and Renoise has some pretty dope timestretching algorithms... 5/5

  • i just started using renoise and i wish i could make drum breaks like that. i guess it'll come in time.

  • Nifty programming there dude!

Ah, the good old amen.. When will we ever go sick of that break?

  • Where did you get the drum samples from? They sound really good. And the sub-bass sample too. Nice bass. Congrats on the song! :-)

  • I made a lot of them myself, using synth plugins, then resampled and messed around w. them in audio-editors. All the breaks i cut up by hand to get them really tight. A lot of the samples are from tim exile's sample packs check timexile . com or summin and also some of the breaks are from the desimal sample pack: grahammarch . com

  • what speed is this on?

  • bl00dyf1st: 380x2 bpm ^__^

  • uploader of vid, download camtasia software somewhere on the net, run it in the background while playing your renoise tracks. Perfect for capturing the video & audio.

  • i use mac, don't know what equivalent there is...

  • RENOISE

  • Renoise? I think he was talking about the screen video capturing software.

  • how did you make that layout theme?

  • simple: default theme then i used the hue fader

  • Nice one. Iv been using trakers on the amiga for years, i need this. One question, can you input codes for effects like with protracker?

  • yes, of course the sounds in this video would be impossible otherwise.

  • yes, that's what i'm doing most of the time

  • Great drum programming!

  • Göran! :D
