  • Thanks for sharing your story, and thank you so much for being bold enough to share the slip-ups along with your triumphs. I've just started my own weight-loss journey and went looking for inspirational YouTube stories. Your two-year anniversary speech was one that I remembered from a year or two ago, and I'm glad I found it again. You said it best there: if you don't quit, you can't fail. Rock on, dude, and congrats on everything you've accomplished!

  • You mention binge eating is an issue for you. It's a huge issue for me, too. I have a book recommendation, though--"Brain Over Binge: Why I Was Bulimic, Why Conventional Therapy Didn't Work, and How I Recovered for Good"--honestly, I still struggle some, but it's given me a new perspective and way of looking at poor, excessive eating habits. Before, I felt hopeless. But after reading it, weight had been lifted off of my shoulders at least a bit. I feel more hopeful. Highly recom. it. good luck!

  • This is so funny. Even though I am not a NUMBERS person. I don't give a flying flip about my weight number. However, yesterday I got so fed up with myself I decided to FACE it. I went in and stood on my scale. It didn't work. I guess it needs new batteries or something. Regardless, I saw it as a sign. Screw the scale! Sheree. Just get to the point you feel good and know you are doing the right thing! :-)

  • Try lowering carbs a bit and increase your fat and protein proportionately. You should get a gain of 200 calories a day and yet lose weight while feeling more satisfied. Good luck.

  • Dude, I weigh myself everyday and it dictates my mood. I'm addicted to the scales. This vid is awesome, and I hope, someday, to be where you are. Sidenote: Cool Dustin needs to do some squats or something, man. Don't just work out the upper torso b/c that's what you think women focus on. I've known people like that. Like reverse weeble-wobbles.

  • I know you probably have down what excersise and diet you got going, but head over to the 4chan board and go to /fit/ Health and Fitness board. Read the sticky there and look over the threads everyday or make your own thread. I went there the first time I went to lose weight and lose 60 pounds already. LOTS of great information.

    Don't take all of it to heart though, lots of trolls lol.. the internet what do you suspect.

    But read the sticky and just use it as a information destination. GL!
