  • love how they play simon's theme near the end. Makes it epic!

  • Dude new what was coming before it even come to the screen. Wonder how many times it took to get THAT good at beating ONE enemy?

  • I remember beating this game for the first time (as a kid) during the summer of '95. Dracula proved to be fairly difficult, but with a little trial and error, I defeated him. As a result, I felt quite accomplished! Super Castlevania IV is indeed a classic! In fact, it's on my top 3 greatest Castlevania games of all time, next to: Dracula X - Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night. I DID like the other games, except for the godawful Castlevania II - Simon's Quest. Very good video, btw!

  • ha ha ha i see that you didn't make the trick down of the stairs before fight with dracula. look, before you go up the stairs, jump forward and down of the stairs and get to the corner. see what happens. don't believe me?? do yourself and you will see what i mean

  • @wildwoody8 ha ha ha i see that you didn't read the description before you commented. look, on this video, read the description and you will see exactly why i didn't do the trick.

  • @BeholdMyStrength ha ha fuck its true. this was a wake up call for the next ja ja sorry dude

  • Dude! I was so frustrated you interrupted the music

  • vitun aito peli

  • 240p o-e

  • great job man!

  • I can't beat this son of a bitch. No matter how much I imitate what you did in this video, my controller just doesn't respond fast enough for me to be able to dodge his attacks. Whether the fireballs decide to double themselves so I can't jump over them, or whether the fire pillars decide to fly into my face before I can even hit them, I'm dead. GODDAMNIT I JUST WANT TO BEAT THIS FUCKING GAME

  • theres a secret under the stairs i remeber

  • @BadEgg55 check top suggestions video called: SCV4 Dracula (cheap way)

  • Great job with the speedy kill!

btw, why didnt u show the secret stairs for items and points?

  • oh wait, I found it. XD it didnt show it next in the playlist.:P

I enjoyed ur walkthrough, thanks. :)

  • this music truly represents castlevania, deep & epic.. giving you shivers of darkness and joy. this is the very best of castlevania

  • 8-WAY WHIPPING FOR THE WIN MOTHERFUCKERS!

  • This game could be a reason to buy a Wii.

  • AWWW COME ON! I just wanted to hear some of the Simon's Theme!

  • 1 person, ermm...vampire watched this video.

  • 0:53 Holy shit, Dracula's magic is made of chicken!

  • The sound of that organ as you whip Dracula in the face for the last time, fucking BEAUTIFUL!! And then you finally touch the last orb.....ahhhhh. The sound of hard work finally paying off.

  • Dude i almost feel sorry for dracula....this guy is like NEO. Fuckula has no chance.

  • i just beat this game for the first time moments ago. been playing it since i was a kid. i'm 22 now. feels good man. finally this game is my bitch ;)

  • You know, it's funny when you think about it. In this game, you don't kill Dracula. You just stall him and somehow his window shatters and the sun is what kills him. Huh.

  • 2:19 awesome pose

  • nice victory pose :D

  • @Battery20678 Personally, I would think that if you hate Twilight that you would avoid mentioning it with all your heart. Simon or any other Belmont killing Dracula is simply akin to the age old struggle of Good vs Evil, Light vs Darkness and really has nothing to do with Twilight and what it represents.

I didn't know they were making a CV movie but as long as they stay away from Anime Dracula and Belmonts then it should be fine.

  • @Battery20678 Those are clearly not legitimate horror films with no relevance to Dracula or Castlevania. My question to answer is "Why is there a Twilight-related comment on every Dracula video on YouTube?" Perhaps you could provide an answer as you brought it up????

  • One of the easiest boss in this game, lol.

  • You helped me beat the game!! Thanks! I always avoided this game because I didn't like the swinging on the whip aspect, but now I see why it's realized as one of the best Castlevania games ever! Amazing game! Nice game play all the way through on your part, very talented! This game is insane! Cheers, you did a great job!-thanks

  • @vladtepes3176 I appreciate that, and grats on beating it. It is definitely worth going through at least once. The music was way ahead of it's time, and still holds up today. The gameplay and controls are silky smooth, which makes it easy, but also an incredible joy to play.

  • @BeholdMyStrength i just read your discription and what do you mean by full power up thing at the steps

  • @Mr0life, Hey I am 13, and I beat this dude. It took me like 4 hours though. I admit that this is probably the toughest Dracula I have faced in Castlevania games. The problem is that his hell fire attack is annoying. You need to hit it first, before it turns into smaller projectiles, and then you have to destroy those, which is hard because they are small. If you don't hit it, and jump over it, it splits into 3 fast moving fire balls which requires a well timed whip snap to avoid.

  • I can't beat this motherfucker for some reason, maybe that's because I'm just 18 so I haven't spent years with my SNES o_o but I'm gonna kick his ass later fo sho!

  • @Mr0life Probably. I grew up with this game, so what you see here is the product of MANY MANY years of play. Just keep after it and you'll eventually get him! Just remember, each attack he uses has an extremely easy way around it. Once you learn how to beat each of his attacks, you should be golden!

  • @Mr0life Im 14 and I grew up with SNES; age really has nothing to do with it. Nevertheless, you'll beat him, and once you do, he's never really a problem again(I do enjoy keeping him alive for a little while in the final section, however, since its the most epic portion of the battle, with Simon's Theme playing as it gets more intense). But I'm rambling. Good luck! ;D

  • omg i fought him like a idiot. I never jumped over his shots (that hings at 0:33) i always circled around the whip to block them which was much harder LOL. I thought thats the reason why they made it possible to circle around the whip :D

  • [reads description] "His small white balls are just so hard to hit." Draculas got small balls of steel lmao

  • Awesome, the music when you start walking past the flames is so moody. great stuff

  • did this music make you cry?

  • Haha! It's awsome I use to do the same thing when defeating a boss and that wierd ball thing falls, I jump at it doing a epic pose(swinging whip) awww memories :)

  • @john87ofAZ Haha I agree, I used to do that too!

  • Those torches lighting up as you walk by is awesome.

  • You are fucking awesome,

  • how'd you do that, I can evade the thing that dracula shoots out during the first attack form, but with a thousand hearts I can evade it by holding the whip thing and hitting all the 3 balls that come the nano-second after that I still get hit by every fire face, even if I kill them they fall down and hit me, what a load of shit.

  • @IamHomosex

    Heat Seaking Fire Balls FTW!

  • I do not drink, wine... the blood is the life Mr. Renfield

  • This is the best Castlevania game I've ever seen. No other Castlevania game can top this one.

  • @EddyCartoon

Lords of Shadow not gonna top this one? (I hate LoS design and story. It's like Van Helsing the movie)

  • I love this game. This game isn't as awesome as bloodlines, but the dracula battle is better.

  • Lol vampires kick ass, while Edward Cullen sucks ass.

  • 0:14

Where is the clocktowr in the classic scene?

    òó

  • its great when Simon's theem comes back as at towards te end of the fihgt - a recaptulation of the theme of the symphoney if you will ;)

  • Boy you did better against Dracula than Death! Impressive.

  • As awesome as this game is. This isn't really the best dracula battle.

  • @Cyberleader12 You're right, this battle was a little easy for Drac. However the music is top notch!

  • @BeholdMyStrength yeah I like the atmosphere it has.

  • @BeholdMyStrength Uhh.. I thought the dracula battle was awesome, but it would be cooler if you had to dodge the arcs of electricity at the beginning...

  • @BeholdMyStrength death definately makes up for dracula being easy, i still cant kill death, the bastard

  • pshh,

i guess you could have beaten dracoula with a flashlight...

anyone who tries gets a cookie! :P

  • Epic Fight against Dracula *tear*

  • awesome game

music, graphics, boss design..i just love it

  • why does it say "movie stop" at 1:38 ?

  • I take it you haven't played DMD difficulty if you can ask that question. Although I'm not sure what makes the original any harder than the Special Edition, unless you find Vergil that much easier.

  • at 00:09 if you jump down the stairs, there are invisible stairs, keep walking and you'll get like 50 chicken legs, 50 big hearts, and level 3 projectiles.

  • I showed that on another video "Dracula (Cheap Way)".

  • @BeholdMyStrength I don't think of it as cheap unless you hacked the game or something bc the developers put that there.

  • @BeholdMyStrength yyer but getting that secret doesen't really change the difficulty of the battle i think only meat falls and those scrolls i think i dunno

  • @danistin yer i like that little secret xD

  • AVGN said it best...the perfect Castlevania (along with SOTN of course.)

  • Haaaa, small white balls

  • Belmont: You are going down count!

Dracula: Go ahead you can hurt me!

*Belmont takes out Vampire Killer and boomerang hits count on the face.*

Dracula: NOT THE FACE! NOT THE FACE! MOTHERFUCKER!

    *BAM!*

  • i love this game

one of my favorites of all time!

  • Most Epic Fucking entrance to the final boss of any game i have ever played...Soo good...Fucking Soooo good The torches the Purple Electric just unbeliavbly amazing

  • I will have to agree with this guy^

  • Man, I always thought the same... the torches and the music... it was so damn epic!

  • I would say one of the easiest Draculafights once you realize how to dodge all of his attacks. I Think nes Castlevania1 Dracula is the hardest of em all.

  • Completely agree. The Dracula from Castlevania is hell. So is death who's even harder.

  • Castlevania (the original) is one of the hardest games...ever.

Devil May Cry 3, the original, is the only game I can think of that;s ever been harder.

  • @Argentuban play Ninja Gaiden 1-3 on the NES those i believe are the hardest beatable games to date.

    DMC3 is nothing compared

  • Thats because they kinda suck, they are not fun in any way they are just complete unfair pieces of shit. Play Shinobi 1 2 and 3 much better.

  • @Argentuban ever playd battltoads

  • AWW the music came in and then u killed him AND THE MUSIC :L ( U KICKED HIS ASS THO GOOD VID) but u ruined my song :(

  • 1:52 AWW just as the music kicks in.

  • You sir are absolutely correct. I must have been induced in a Castlevania IV craze, so induced that I was a mindless Castlevania IV commenting zombie......

  • One of the hardest Dracula boss fights ever.

  • WHY IS SIMON THE ONLY COMPITANT BELMONT?! you would think the others went omg theirs an up direction and diagnals i need to swing in too

  • What on Earth could you possibly mean!?!?! Everybody knows that REAL men only attack straight forward!

  • Yes and thats why real men get hit in the head the most cuz they can't stop thoes breakable bricks from hitting them unless they jump away or move, SIMON MOVES FOR NO BRICKS!

  • SIMON MOVES FOR NO BRICKS! FTW lol

  • @Darkwarrier91 Considering stairs render him nearly helpless, I question that claim.

  • This was an epic boss fight for me when I was a kid. :)

  • Yes and the creator of the video here uploaded a video with that secret.

Before you go up the stairs, jump left, you land on invisible stairs go all the way down left and the goodies drop from the ceiling. Once done, go up the invisible stairs and (being careful), jump to the platform, than climb up the visual stairs and go pwn Dracula.

  • I LOVE CASTLEVANIA 4

  • So nostalgiac...

  • Awesome movie :) I frigging love the ending theme <3

  • i remember jumping off the ledge in this clip at 10 sec. to have my health at full bar, so i jumped and i got tons of stuff. i landed on invisible blocks. just remembering my child hood days...

  • cool pose at the end

  • yeah .. really bad ass pose at the end.

This game may have the best atmosphere soundtrack for a Castlevania game by a long shot..

Maybe its because my memories of it is listening to the sound test and beating this with my jaw wide open when I was 10.

  • I can't even get past the third level :P

I used the code to get to Dracula and I can't get past him either. I always die just before the lightning.

  • Man, you sucked hard, don't you?

  • despite the loading issue its still good.

  • I finally decided to play this game, and when i got to Dracula...Ohh shit, it was hard...GREAT JOB!

  • GOOD always triumphs over EVIL!!!!

  • Ураа!!! Победа!!!

  • I love this fight, and I love how the song changes to Simon's Theme when Dracula's low on health as a morale boost.

  • In just realized. So many belmonts and other heroes have walked up those very same stairs and kicked Dracula's ass.XD

  • Thats what makes the whole final staircase climb epic. I only wih they could make a 3-D Castlevania that lives up to that! I mean, it should have something like a full, blood-red moon, mist all around, haunting music, and a battered staircase from centuries of Belmont use..XD I have yet to play a 3-D CV game that has all of those elements. Hell come to think of it, it's mostly atmospheric anyways.haha

  • IDK. I have to agree MOSTLY with you. However, when i played dracula on CV64 I freaked out quite a few times when i fought any of the bosses.

    *SPOILER after this*

when i fought that giant skull thing in the desert i about crapped my self. not to mention the large stair case that i had to climb to get there.

  • I LOVE THIS TRACK

  • Perfect video and amazing atmosphere

  • nice battle, awesome game awesome fighting awesome music, but i'll never forgive you for beatin him so fast that we didnt get to hear much of simon's theme :D haha good job. 5 stars

  • You only took one hit... dammit that's impressive

  • YES THERES A PIECE OF CHICKEN

  • you killed him too fast! didnt even get a chance to hear simon's theme song at the last phase! xO

  • Wow, dracula has some awesome music, i love this music.

  • MISPELLED UMMM..

    EVRYONE

    THEN GIRL

  • XD...gotta love typos!

  • YEA LOVE TYPOS

    XD

  • EVERY ALWAYS WANT TO KILL THE BAT AT THE END

HEH EVEN I DID...UNTIL I REALIZED YOU CANT

    IM A IRL SO YAHHH

    VAMPIRES

    O,..,o

  • Ah you did'nt cheat. Good for you.

  • great technique

  • See my reply to omardco21....he had the same statement.

  • classic game, legendary music, hands down.

Great job beating Dracula without the cheats-

  • Agreed, and thanks!

  • hey u forgot the trick down stairs

  • Nahhh I didn't forget it..I just didn't want to use it in this video! I have another video where I do use it, to show how easy it makes the final boss.

  • I liked it better that Dracula didn't morph into an uber-demon. Also the music leading up to Dracula is the best I've ever heard in the series.

  • Agreed, thats one thing you can definately count on from Castlevania IV, and that is that each piece of music fits each part of the game perfectly, setting up and expanding on the atmosphere of the levels! CV4 is one of the only 2D games where the music makes everything feel truely epic. As for Drac not having a "uber-demon" form, I agree. But I also think they should've given Drac's final form more than just one attack....seemed a bit to easy! But it was still great!

  • EXELLENT!!!!!!

  • the music is awesome and i remember if you type in your name as "quan" you go straight to dracula but i recently tried it again and it didn't work for some reason.

  • A classic game,forever

  • yes. yes it is.. dude i remember back in the day.. sigh* a new era of gaming is upon us, however, castlevania is one for the classics.

  • true, but legendary games such as this...NEVER DIE!!!!!

  • Yea, one of the greatest Castlevania games period!!

  • i was disapointed that dracula didnt turn into a demon in this 1

  • He...kinda did..haha, well that is if you count his little face morph thing when you get his health real low..haha, but yea, when compared to CV's I&III, I thought this Dracula battle was a little lackluster. But it was "Tough" compared to Castlevania II's Dracula fight!!! When I first fought him, I thought it was friggin Death instead of the Drac Man..haha

  • speaking of that dosnt, gaibon look like demon dracula

  • I fought him the fair way I only use the whip.

  • I just can't seem to beat this guy, he is so hard

  • Yea, if your not to careful ole' Drac can eat your lunch, especialy those damned flaming...things. Just figure the best way to beat each attack. Plus, if your having lots and lots of trouble, use the little secret at the start of the stairs leading up to the boss fight. That way, if you have 3 crosses flying around, they will deal the damage to Dracula leaving you free to concentrate on his attacks instead of hitting him. Practice makes perfect man!!!
