  • Hey, that`s good man. I have a question, you can use a midi controller like that one in a live situation? I hear of some midi modules, and you can play whit them but i was wondering if there is something like a midi module where you can storage your patches and then use them live, or you need a computer? Thanks.

  • Great cover of Cascades! Keep on possting DP Stuff! Ty

  • Smaaaart job dude!!

  • lol very nice :D

  • haha nice, that was sweet

  • It isn't! I wanted to show the arpeggio and 'Hammond B3' sound rather than the speed.

  • i cant remember reading "very hard solo" in the video-title.

Plus: John Lord ab-so-lute-ly rocks. It not about playing the fastest/hardest stuff, but about awesome music.

    @ceccere:

The sound is pretty close to the original...i didnt knew this song until now. Thanks for showing it to me ^^

  • Like the B-3 synth stuff...now, if I could just find a good Fender Rhodes Piano Bass synth...I'd be golden. Maybe Ray Manzarek will sell me his old one? LOL

  • Man, that was coool :P luv it heh.

  • Hi - this video makes me laugh everytime I watch it! I am trying to find backing tracks minus the keyboard component (ie Hammond organ), Is this what you use? If so, can you let me know where you downloaded the backing track from. Thanks very much!

  • How about making a tutorial of this? I'm a beginning keyboard player :)

  • a tutorial of what? a tutorial on how to practice piano playing for hours at a time to enable you to have some skill?

what the hell do you mean: "how about a tutorial of this"?

heres a tutorial for: go get a piano and practice playing.

  • Awesome

  • Yeah that rocked out!

  • now there's a real game....

    piano hero

  • Hah!! yes! thanks for the idea.. copyright anyone?

  • @djBudsicles except it would actually be like playing the real thing for once?

  • u rocked dude

  • Nice :)

you can add AM-G-D-F-AM-G-D with left hand.

  • Nice dude but im afraid to say that this song is played by Don, not Jon Lord xD

  • Thanks a lot!

The song is currently played by Don Airey, but Jon Lord was who recorded this song in 1995/1996 along with Ian Gillan, Steve Morse, Roger Glover and Ian Paice.

    Regards.

  • @LukeMute It's from Purpendicular 96' album, so this is Jon Lord for sure. The album is actually fantastic

  • hahaha. nice work my friend.

  • hehe xD

  • wow that was surprisingly amazing!

  • Nice work mate! hahaha... Great arpegios goin there!

Are you currently in a band ?

    TC.

  • you are amazing, you should play with jon lord or don airey

  • HAHA, niiicee!

  • sick!

  • savage

  • TRY it with fully weighted keys - fracture your skull X)))))

  • I learnt this song on my Kurzweil SP-88X, fully weighted keys... Much more fun... lol

  • nice !

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • wow great playing :D not best sound quality of the video.. but I like ur playing in both vids i check out ! nice man =)

  • hey, i have B4, but i have a, i don't know the word in english, probably Delay, when i play on my keyboard, does somebody know how to fix it!?

    nice playing! :D

  • You should have a sound card that supports low latency. As for example ASIO for Windows.

  • @ceccere I have ASIO using B4. But using my keyboard from PC i gets delay, and I can't play something fast that it cuts the notes.. Is it my soundcard that is shitty?

  • Sick....spider fingers

  • Nice organ ;) Great fingers.

  • dam, flawless!

  • Fantastico!!!!

    realyyy nice

  • nice playing dude! :D

    i love the NI b4 plugin :P

  • und du bist ned bessa, gschissana xD

  • After watching your videos I'll take that as a complement.

    Cheers!

  • great solo.

  • Are you using the standard B4 presets (purple, oh lord) or a new preset created by yourself?

  • that's great!!where can I find the notes?i tried to copy the ones you do, but it's difficult.....thanks!

  • you're fast!

  • dde, nice keyboard man. m-audio! woot

ima get the same key board but the 49 key tho

i like it. i wanna get the keyboard for production

  • Where do you get that great hammond Sound, wich software? can i download it somewhere for free?

    Nice playing BtW :D!

  • It's B4 from Native Instruments - you can download a free demo!

  • Awsome!

  • very well done

  • awesome 5*

  • I'm thinking of buying Axiom 61 soon and try it on FL. I just want to be sure have you regret getting axiom or is there something better ?

  • the NI B4 is so badass.. Just out of curioisty, how are you using the axiom, usb or midi?

  • Hi mate,

It's true, B4 is amazing! Now I'm using my axiom61 on my macbook pro via USB. I'm using Live 6 and Reason 4.

  • Wow, just as I refreshed the page, you replied.. But yeah, Thanks for responding.. I'm thinking about buying one of these.. you seem to like it a fair deal, and it seems pretty powerful+cheap.. So, would you reccomend this, or is there something else in it's pricerange that's better?

  • Well, it depends...

Before I got my Axiom, I used to play a Kurzweil SP88X. I like the piano weighted keys, but when I came to England I couldn't bring it with me. This is what I miss most.

On the other hand, the Axiom is compact and has excellent keys for playing synth, organ, etc. It has 8 pads for drums, aftertouch, 9 sliders for the B4's drawbars, etc.

In fact, it's worth. The only bad thing is that its keys make some loud noise, depending on how hard you play.

    I hope I could help.

  • Yeah, you helped me out a bunch. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one now.. I the only drawback is that it doesn't have hammer-action keys, but I can live with semiweighted. and if the keys are loud, that's not a big deal anyways, once again totally liveable. If you haven't had any problems with it aside from loud keys, I'd consider it being pretty sweet. (if you check around for axiom vids on youtube, you'll find people with some kinda scary problems)

  • shouldav went for an oxygen 49.. it has velocity sensetive keys :)

  • This is an Axiom 63, it has semi-weighted velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch!

  • Oh, and the B4 program lets you set the velocity sensitivity, unlike a real organ!!

  • i h8 u! lol, fink i myt buy 1

  • Velocity and aftertouch are totally opposite to the sound character of a Hammond and I doubt that the B4 software has any of those features. Of course, for other tones they are essential. If you're into Hammond organ playing, why on Earth would you want such features which the real thing doesn't have? There are million ways to be expressive on the Hammond: playing on both manuals, on bass pedal, expression pedal, using the drawbars, vibrato, percussion, switching Leslie speed, overdrive etc.

  • hey i hav an axiom 25 and for some reason it has a lag time for example when i hit a key it takes a second for sound to come out from the speakers...and im using it on live lite 6..is there some settings on live to get rid of the lag time?

  • Hi,

This is called latency. U can adjust some settings on Live, but u have to be using a sound card which supports low latency. If u r using PC, sound cards compatible with ASIO do a great job!

  • Hi, I bought Axiom61 last month and after few days,I did hit one of the drawbars near display with my elbow by mistake and he flied off the keyboard,broken...be careful, these controls are not fully solid..:)!

  • Thanks for let me know, mate. Be careful, don't get too excited when playing it, it's made in China!!! Joking seriously... lol

    Enjoy your Axiom!

  • Nice man keep it up

  • that bit at the end scared me

  • lol

  • skillz!!

  • nice i got the same controller..the m-audio 49 key axiom.....the best!

  • that was rad... been playing long? ha! awesome...

  • Cool!...Native B4 rulez!!

  • what's the name of song?

  • Cascades: I'm Not Your Lover

  • thanks!

  • uff d lujo brother m encanto

  • can you sample with this

  • Great chops, now how about some Rick Wakeman?

  • Mi sono registrato su Cakepoker com con il "Sign Up Code" WINMORE e adesso mi danno $500! Lo faranno così ogni volta che gioco lì?

  • How do you like your Axiom 61? That sounds great.

  • The Axiom itself hasn't got any sound. I'm using a VST (virtual instrument) B4 by Native Instruments.

  • Oh, I know that - that was just a side comment regarding your playing :) Just as far as the Axiom 61 itself in terms of value, durability, usefulness, etc. though, what do you think?

  • Oww, thanks a lot... sorry!

I like to play the Axiom 61, it's got nice keys' renponse to play synths and organs and it still good after one year and a half of use. I think it's a great cost/benefit keyboard.

  • nice!

  • yeah

  • that was sick bruh!

  • wat software r u using????

  • Native Instruments B4. Now you can use the version II, there are many improvements.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)

  • tight beat!!...hey how can i get the stock sounds out of a yamaha keyboard to sound on fl?

  • what program is he using i cant figue abeleton out... cant get the sounds into the board!

  • nice keys man

    and nice song

good job keep the good work

  • hey man what programs you using

  • Not Bad

  • hey, cool!

  • genius dude!!!!

  • holy shit

  • Righteous. 8)

No one better to ask than you... Do you find that the keys are stiff when you first start to play, like you need to mash them down first so that they actually move? I may be the only one having this problem...

  • BaronvonCase -

It is totally normal at cheaper keys - they are not hammer-weighted, so they have different types of mechanisms that assure moving keys back. And of course every such mechanism when not moved for a time stucks a little bit (i.e. springs take a temperature of the room). I always press all the octaves gently before playing in order to prepare my precioussss to work ;]
