  • Not saying he's the greatest singer, but without argument if I was asked... "Who's the best singer you've ever heard?" I would without doubt say Elvis. Actually my top 5 would probably be Elvis, Tom Jones, Elton John, Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding. But its all relative and opinions, but hes the only singer I know to have mixed it up from rock, blues, country, to gospel. And he's truly in a different league in the gospel repitore. Mister opera notes and such. =)

  • Is there anything this guy can't sing? I mean really I've listened to a lot of great singers, but this guys voice is truly remarkable. I think people get caught up in his image, looks, charisma ways more then his actual vocals. I mean Elvis is the only singer I technically listen to constantly simply because of his voice, most its the song, or a catch. Don't get me wrong, there are other great singers, who may have a lower, or higher range, but he changed his vocals so much, he mastered it.

  • LAS VEGAS LAS PALMAS LAS KOCHlowicki KATOWICE

  • I once watched an Elvis impersonator perform this in a large auditorium. The building shook from all of the foot stomping. It's one of the best audience participation numbers out there.

  • Ann Margaret seems to have some kind of "happy mental problems" :/

  • Pure corn, but I love it.

  • One last thing before I go, it may interest some to know that Elvis had affairs with ALMOST every leading lady/or costars during the filming of his movies. It doesn't just LOOK like there's attraction..there is. Elvis ADORED women. There are a few exceptions (he wasn't attracted to Ursula Andress for example) and a few times he had platonic "affairs" with them meaning they became extremely close but it was on an intellectual or spiritual level.

  • people kiss his ass he was talented but people always forget the other things i guess thats the way it goes

  • Two people doing what they do best together.

It will someday receive the accolades it deserves.

  • This was good for a first time fan of Elvis.

  • Many pretenders, no real contenders have ever matched the appeal and talent of these two entertainers.

  • He was...... THE KING ! I think there is nothing more to say ;)

  • @OlusBoy You are only half right. He was the King, but he remains the King of Rock & Roll to this very day.

  • I love the ending lol!

  • Wow!

  • These are examples of Elvis using the different ranges of his voice OVER 20 YRS!

Low register-Anyway you want me (1956) He'll have to go (1976)

    Low to Middle-Such a night (1960), If I can dream (1968)

  • Why do these MJ fans come on every Elvis video too say how much better he is than Elvis. I can't imagine Elvis fans doing such a thing, as it's a ridiculous comparison...

so to all the fans of the "self-proclaimed, king of pop" (lol) yeah, you're right MJ is the very bestest forever of all time, far better singer, dancer, than Elvis, now just go away please...

  • @grebel82 elizabeth taylor proclaimed mj the king of pop. a billion fans proclaimed Elvis king of rock and roll

  • @ron2ocean Exactly, Elvis refused the title, saying there is only one king meaning Jesus... Truly humble guy...Unlike someone who floats a plastic statue of himself down the Thames...lol...

  • @grebel82 You don't have to be degrade Michael Jackson's memory to be an Elvis fan. I am a HUGE Elvis fan and I am also a huge Michael Jackson fan. I have no idea why people even compare the two, they are completely different and brought different things to music. And from what I know about Elvis, he sure wouldn't like people talking about his former son in law.

  • @amberjade11 sorry if you got offended, i'm just a bit sick of every elvis vid MJ fans coming on saying how he's better... I don't compare the 2 normally, just compared them here for the sake of the people who do it. He was never Elvis' son-in-law, how silly, he died years before they got married...

  • @grebel82 LOL, that wasn't Michael Jackson. It was SONY. They launched a $30 million campaign for the release of HIStory. Michael Jackson was raised in the limelight and holds more world records than any entertainer in history- he was constantly faced with the task of having to outdo himself. Just like Elvis had the talent of touching each person in the audience and making them feel like he was singing to only them. He had the voice of an angel. Different people, different gifts.

  • My dad's best friend going up was Roger Smith. When Roger moved to Nogales, my dad would go spend a large part of the summer with Roger. Margret and Roger are an amazing couple. 44 years of marriage? That says something.

  • i love elvis presley and i always will i dont care who know it my dad hates him my mum loves him rest in pease mum tell elvis i will be home love you and god bless x x x

  • Elvis is the King....Ann Margret is the princess! Man, is she smokin' hot!

  • Still chicken skin after so many years... What a man!!

  • I love straight 60's dance move that Ann does at 1:25 ;) Beauty.

  • LOVE THIS MAN SO FINE AS HEL LTHATS RIGHT HE WAS BORN TO ROCK

  • Nice ass on her

  • MJ peaked at Thriller.

  • The chemistry they had in this movie was just awesome. One of the best movies Elvis did.

  • Love the close up of Ann-Margaret's rear!

  • Ann Margaret ... yum.

  • tegek echt onwijs

  • Elvis' best songs (in order):

Little Sister, Marie's The Name, A Little Less Conversation, Kentucky Rain, In The Ghetto, Jailhouse Rock, That's Alright.

  • @curtisjones400

Scientifically speaking, there is no debate. Compared to Elvis, MJ wins in every category. MJ had a much greater singing range and smoother voice. MJ was also an infinitely better dancer and more consistent live performer. MJ even wrote most of his songs, unlike Elvis, who merely cowrote some of his early hits. Nonetheless, aside from MJ, Elvis was the most electrifying, exciting, charismatic, and musically talented performer in history. Even Justin Bieber loves Elvis and MJ.

  • @PhillyCopsAreCorrupt scientifically, eh?

  • @grebel82

I stand corrected. I should have said scientifically speaking from the standpoint of vocal range, dancing, and certain other aspects, not every category. Also, as it turns out, Elvis did not cowrite any of his hits. He was merely credited with doings so to enhance his credibility. Regardless, if I could bring Elvis or MJ back to life, it would be the former. Elvis was the coolest and most entertaining. MJ was just a walking freak show with extraordinary talent.

  • Actually i think it is unfair to try and compare Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley they were from 2 different time periods -Elvis Presley was most popular during the late 50's and 60's Michael Jackson did not hit the music scene until 1968 -Both men gave us great music in the time that God gave them on earth-Both of them were equally important in to us in their time period-Lets not debate on who was better just be glad we were around to see them-they both were great

  • Oh really, why can't these MJ fans simply stick to their MJ videos. The bitching is so sick - pure jealousy.

  • Simple, talent on top of talent, with some more talent on the side - the king!

  • The scene was made to seem as natural as possible, there are mistakes in the steps and end up elvis gets out of balance and puts his hand on the floor. beautiful scene

  • @BlueLeopard200 wow buddy look some people aren't so good at writing songs other people are Elvis wasn't a good song writer MJ was

  • @12Mrpenguin

Elvis cowrote many of his early songs.

  • MJ IS THE TRUE KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DANCES WAY BETTER THEN ANYBODY. ELVIS LOOKS RETARDED WHEN HE DANCES.

  • the king for ever :)

  • Why because He's Elvis he was the complete package and so what that he never wrote a song he sung with that much feeling and emotion who gives a chit who wrote it one last thing Elvis was pure sexy.he did not have to touch he's crouch or purposely do something to try and be sexy he just was end of

  • @MarkAntony123t

What are you talking about? Elvis cowrote 15 of his first 20 songs.

  • @grebel82 said Elvis was merely a very good singer Elvis was just a glorified american idol contestant who was in the right place at the right time so he was merely a good singer huh so he did not have charm Charisma personality and of course he was not very good looking and sexy and see he's little dance he does that's just natural no spending months learning new stuff he just done he's bit and he's bit is the best he looks so good doing it.

  • @1:50...that's what I'm talkn' bout! Oh yeah!

  • Blue Leopard you are a flippin moron,MJ was good in his time yes and had center stage during that time BUT there will be NO comparisons to Elvis....NONE.Elvis stayed Elvis till the very end he didn't turn himself into some freak show with surgeries and skin coloring or bleaching whatever MJ did.Elvis Presley was PURE TALENT and was destined to be the greatest of iconic status......PERIOD!!!Elvis is second to NONE.....PERIOD!!Elvis impacted the world like no one has and never will....PERIOD!!!!

  • The KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man oh man could the King dance .i dont think his singing

    needs my praise.

  • This is a true ever green song. I love it!

  • I thought the movie version of C' mon Everybody was far superior to the version released on record .They should have used the film version. Also watching the film makes you wonder what might have happened if Elvis had dumped Priscilla and married Ann. Would they have stayed together or would it have ended in divorce. All hypothetical of course , but it's fun to speculate. R.I .P ELVIS

  • He also had Cybil Shepherd. She said she taught him to go down south.

  • Eu amo Elvis !!!!!

  • isn't viva las vegas

  • ann seemed to be his counterpart, she was his match ...would have been nice to see them have gotten together 4 real

  • He wanted to be with Ann Margret more than anything but already felt obligated into marrying Pricilla since he gave his word to her and her family, and he felt he couldn't break it. He was afraid to make the move and leave her. He was never one to speak up, that's why he let the Colonel and others take from him and step all over him :( If he married A.M instead it would make everything before and after his death so much better... maybe he wouldn't have been so alone, maybe he would've been happy

  • @ElvisP4everr How do you know that?

  • @ILUVLUCYDESI A lot of people in Elvis' former entourage don't like Priscilla say that. Who knows though, because more people say that what Elvis Presley didn't want to do, he didn't do. I think the reason why they don't like Priscilla is because she has filed countless lawsuits protecting Elvis' name. Say what you want about her, because Elvis wasn't exactly husband of the year and the fact that she protects his name says a lot about her. I believe that Priscilla was his true soulmate

  • Comment removed

  • @amberjade11 Look just leave all these people alone everyone is just saying how they feel . I love Elvis A LOT MORE!!! You like MJ so much go watch his videos Also Elvis was handsome ALWAYS . Don't you dare insult Elvis please! He never mimicked anyone he wasn't racist he loved black people, had many black friends, looked up to many black musician, before and after his fame helped and supported the rights of black people , grew up with black people, he had NOTHING against black people. BYE

  • @ILUVLUCYDESI Who said he was racist? He himself said that he got his moves from the juke joints in Mississippi. And I don't understand why people feel they have to downgrade Michael Jackson to be Elvis fans. I am fans of both. They both brought different things to music and should be celebrated for that..

  • @ElvisP4everr According to a few sources Priscilla's stepfather Paul Beaulieu basically blackmailed Elvis into marrying Priscilla by threatening to have child rape/molestation charges filed against him if he didn't fulfill the original agreement that he made when she originally moved out there. It's weird though, because the same sources who say that, also say that Priscilla leaving him is what caused the broken heart that killed him. I don't think AM could of dealt with his playboy ways though

  • @amberjade11 That is bullshit. And just watch the "Elvis by the Presleys" documentary. Priscilla's stepfather is the most laid-back man, had nothing but good things to say

  • @locotaco10 I said according to some sources, and I also said that other sources say that what Elvis didn't want to do he didn't. But just so you know, that was 50 years ago and people act differently when they are on camera..

  • @amberjade11 With some research, reading enough of his comments &comments made by those closest to him, it's no mystery. Elvis adored Priscilla. He loved her IMMENSELY. However Elvis did not want to get married AT ALL. He wanted to play the field...movies sets...and be absolutely free. He was given an "order" essentially by Parker to make decision to marry her or not..Parker said it was bad for E's image to drag out engagement. Elvis chose marriage. It was doomed, he cont to live just as before.

  • @TrueLight55 I am going to have to disagree with you on that. Elvis was what everyone called a "good Southern boy" who his mother raised not to take advantage of women and a devout Baptist (even though he experimented with other religions) and believed premarital sex to be a sin. He had many loves, but he had his heart set on marrying a virgin, which he also got from his mother. He had his flings with what he considered loose girls but when he came home, he wanted a wife and family there

  • @amberjade11 He absolutely wanted to get married AT SOME POINT but not at the time the pressure was being put on him to do so. According to those close to him he did not want to get married at all at that time. It was not that he didn't want to marry either Ann or Priscilla he just did not want to settle down at that time..do get you it? He was thoroughly enjoying his freedom to sleep with every costar he worked with. He married anyway, not wanting to lose Priscilla, but didn't change his ways

  • @TrueLight55 Why would he lose Priscilla if he didn't marry her? You and I will never know what was going through either of their minds at the time. Yes, people said that, people also said that he married Priscilla because her father threatened to press child rape/molestation charges on him if he didn't marry her as he implied that he would when he moved her in with him as a teenager. cont.

  • @TrueLight55 #2 And others also say that Elvis didn't do what he didn't want to do-which if you look at every other way he lived that seems to be the case. You are the one that said he didn't want to get married at all, and when I disagreed with you you changed your story so for you to say to me "do you get it" really makes no sense. Obviously I have read a lot of books and probably the same ones that you have if not more

  • @amberjade11 Oh you are so childish! I never ever said he NEVER wanted to get married at some point in his life. SHEESH. He definitely wasn't wanting to at that time. He was enjoying being the leading man and playing with all the leading ladies. Get it??? Yes he did one day want very much to settle down and have a family. Furthermore, once he did get married, he LOVED having a wife at home. And he ADORED Priscilla. But they did have their problems, his constant infidelity for one!

  • @TrueLight55 My apologies. I was unaware that you and Elvis were so close.

  • @amberjade11 No need to apologize, wink. My extensive research, causing me to examine every possible source, has paid off! It's why my book on Elvis will be very enlightening for those who have simply gobbled up the rumors and stories that have garnered the most popularity. It will be a good thing when the truth about who Elvis was is known. Elvis felt misunderstood during his lifetime, even by those closest to him, and it bothered him a lot. He was an enigma to others, and even to himself.

  • @TrueLight55 That book sounds like it will be fascinating, wink. Another book by another person who has never even met Elvis. Oh, but ignore the ones written by his wife and best friends.

  • @amberjade11 I have read them all. wink. the problem is that no one person's perception of you is "accurate"...you can even live with someone 20 years and find out you don't know them at all. Everyone's perception is a microcosm..of the truth. I suppose you would like Elvis to be remembered through Priscilla's eyes. Or how about his friends? Who all perceived his actions differently. To know this i guess requires intelligence which I highly doubt you have!

  • @TrueLight55 I do know that, which is why I said what I said. No matter which person's account that you read the reader then makes their own perception. No one knows anyone except for ourselves, our Mother's and the Lord. But any how, this bickering back and forth is really silly, we are both Elvis fans so what's the point? Let me know when your book comes out (if that's OK with you) and I will gladly read it. God Bless and Merry Christmas.

  • I prefer the Dead Kennedys' cover.

  • The King and The Queen....

  • She got wet in this episode,

  • What a couple.

  • The dancer in the striped sweater is Teri Garr @ 17! And the choreographer glimpsed, David Winters, was the actual choreographer and played A-rab in WEST SIDE STORY.

  • @pi27366 Teri Garr was 20, not 17. For many years she lied about her age (claimed 1947) but she was actually born in '44.

  • The dancer in the striped sweater is Teri Garr @ 17!

  • Mix good looks, talent, charisma and unmisakeable body language and you got one HOT formula ! I wonder what their kids might have been like...hmmm...I think none would have been used car salesmen !!! We'll never know.

  • He was committed to Priscilla at the time, and her family by a promise. He wanted out, but he couldn't break his word. Who knows how it would have turned out with A.M.

Regrets - he had a few, but then again, too few to mention!

  • Everything he wears just looks so good even today....he was the best dresser!

  • smokin' hot chemistry between elvis presley and ann margret!

  • Elvis and Ann-Margret did have an amazing affair. All Elvis's henchmen loved Ann-Margret, and wanted them to marry, but Elvis wanted her to retire, and not have a career. She then met her husband Roger Smith, who she's still happily married to. Elvis famously gave her a huge round bed as a parting gift. They remained friends, but Ann-Margret couldn't save Elvis from his destructive drug use.

  • GO ELVIS PRESLEY!!!

  • Elvis is the worst man that ever lived.. where is the dnb NETSKY

  • How nice to remember! The good old days.

  • Elvis was the man, and Ann-Margaret was smoking hot. Enough said...

  • Ann Margret was considered the Elvis of females. Their affair during the making of this movie contributed to his divorce. Chemistry was great.

  • When I was little i used to love it when my dad would play this movie. During the opening viva las vagas I would run around dancing, it was the only time I could get away with jumping on the sofa. Ann Margaret is a pretty cool woman I love this scene because my mom used to do all those types of quarky dance moves, and now I find myself doing them too, cracks my husband up :)

  • So true when he said "I was born to rock"!

  • I don't think elvis really wanted to marry someone famous. being married is hard enough when one person is famous but both of them would have been impossible

  • Majestic!

  • DUDE--- ELVIS IS THE MAN

  • i love him but she knew what she was doing as only us women do so no cant condone it just cause its him

  • great movie with Elvis the KIng

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELVIS...JUST WATCHED...ALWAYS LOVE THIS MOVIE...;)) I LIVE IN VEGAS NEAR THE LAS VEGAS HILTON...WAHOO!

  • Comment removed

  • Today!!!! 08/01/2011!! Happy Birthday, Elvis Aaron Presley! 76 years in our hearts! 76 years of glory!!!

  • Pure Magic between these two!

  • Elvis born to rock!!!

  • I miss the GOOD OLD DAYS.. This song is SO COOL!!!

  • Jiggletastic!

  • Wow, I miss when music was good in movies and TV.

  • 2 drummers! Yeah!

  • fantastic.elvis & ann.Thanks.Elvis Forever

  • Ann Margret was was dangerously hot woman those days!!

  • I'd lick her from asshole to appetite

  • I'd knock the bottom out of Ann Margaret

  • @orbison1979 he was referring to "not dancing" and cornering a girl in the corner of the room for french kissing..while everyone seemingly is dancing !! thus cornering !!!

  • Damn.....you could fry bacon on that stage! My favorite number from 'Viva Las Vegas'!

  • Forget the coreographed robotic moves of MJ this is natural and true movement. That is the difference in charisma and not stage lights and pyrotechnics. This man needed none of that. Voice wise no comparison as clearly seen here (unless u r tone deaf). This is the KING not the king of any genry, just simply the king!

  • Comment removed

  • @sp33d40

if you think elvis was more "talented" than michael jackson then you must be a lay person as far as music is concerned. Elvis had a great singing voice and had a lot of charisma but Michael Jacksons talents were on a whole other level. His talents were beyond mere singing and dancing. He was a rhythmic magician who could literally see the movement of rhythm in his head. You could say he was a biological abnormality in this ability he had. His brain was probably wired differently.

  • Comment removed

  • @BlueLeopard200 as a "layperson", MJ's otherworldly. abnormal talents are just that... For us laypeople Elvis' talent, vocal range Singing & dancing prowess are more natural, sexier more flowing and relate-able than anything MJ did after 82. also where Elvis mastered country, blues, gospel rockabilly, rock-roll-pop, operatic ballads with range, dynamism, and proper breathing technique; MJ's weird vocalization just got progressively weirder WOO-HOO, HEE-HEE, SHA MON! wtf?

  • @grebel82

that's the point you can't compare the two

elvis was merely a very good singer

michael jackson was so much more

he wrote the majority of his songs. The legendary bass line to billie jean just came to him naturally. He was a true artist. Elvis didn't write a fricken thing. MJs contribution to music was far better than that of someone who just sings other peoples songs. Elvis was just a glorified american idol contestant who was in the right place at the right time.

  • @BlueLeopard200 Elvis singing other people's songs packs more of an emotional punch than everything MJ did after thriller... after that he became a weird joke.. or "rhythmic magician" I honestly do NOT get who relates to MJ anymore,,, I loved him as a child, but he just became a right weirdo, never mind the paedo crap...

Elvis on the other hand, i got into when I was about 18 and my respect for him as an artist grows year by year... What a singer, untouchable....

  • @grebel82 SO TRUE, MICHAEL JACKSON IS TRULY MORE TALENTED, HE STARTED HIS CAREER AT AGE FIVE AND IS THE KING OF ALL MUSIC. MICHAEL JACKSON SURPASSED ELVIS AND DOMINATED EVERY PART OF THE WORLD WITH HIS MUSIC. MJ LONG LIVE THE TRUE KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU BABY.

  • @desta148

Elvis had more charisma, was by far a better singer( in all genres of music), was a more natural dancer, was better looking, and had sex appeal few men in any walk of life ever had. Most importantly, If it was not for Elvis Michael would never had the opportunity to show his considerable talents. Michael was great, yes, but it is unfair to compare him to one of the great talents and entertainers of the 20th century.

  • @desta148 you better het your facts straight, Elvis sold 1 billion 500 million albums, mj sold 750 million Over 1 billion people watched aloha from hawai, Elvis had far more fans. mj looked like freak.

  • @ron2ocean How many people would of watched his This is It Tour? Michael Jackson brought more to music than Elvis because he broke racial barriers while Elvis mimicked what he saw in juke joints. Still they were both gifted entertainers instead of trying to compare them, if you don't like 'em, don't watch them. FYI-Elvis wasn't too pretty before he died either. I don't understand why people can't be fans of both.

  • @BlueLeopard200 I CAN JUST SMELL THE SHIT COMING FROM UR MOUTH.

  • @sp33d40 Let not get carried away...both MJ and EP were kings in their own right. You can't compare. I am both an EP and MJ fan. To say MJ moves are robotic just shows how you are only an EP fan and have not read up on how MJ feel the music and moves to it. Elvis moves naturally but he was neither a good dancer nor a good guitar player. He had a good voice and charisma second to none.

  • @focus6974 I'm sorry but Elvis never tought about his dance moves...they just come out of him...totaly natural - that's why it was so amazing to look at him while perform.

  • how many movies were they in together?

  • C'mon everybody

  • MASTERPIECE!

  • If I was Elvis, I would've tapped dat ass til the day I kicked the bucket.

  • @spinmonkey4401

    damn right..

  • If this Video doesn't wanna make you wanna Dance.....lol Something is wronge!Melinda in Viva Las Vegas.....A Marilyn Monroe Singer and Impersonator in Viva Las Vegas....Kissesxoxo

  • I LOVE THIS

  • ELVIS WAS THE COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLEST!

  • Similar connection together like "Mr and Mrs Smith"

  • she is so over the top

  • whoooooaaaaahhhhhh!

  • ¿Que se metía ella? ¿una sobredosis de éxtasis? esta increíble ;)

  • He was banging her you know :}

  • grande elvis

  • That was Great! I love this movie. So much fun!! Thanks for sharing!

  • ¿viva las vegas?

  • Love this song.

    Love him.

    Love her.

    Love him.

    Love this film.

    Love him.

  • Its good to be the King!!!!!

  • I remember Ann-Margaret starring on The Flintstones in one episode.

  • Aww poor little red head can't keep up with the King at 2:00. HAHA

  • @001989

Actually she can keep up VERY well with him.

  • Was she wearing any knickers ??

  • @rupertducker I think she was just wearing tights or stocking or whatever. I assume that there is underwear underneath that but who cares. She's Ann-Margret, she does what she wants, wears what she wants, when she wants.

  • @Hankleberg Indeed, I agree wholeheartedly, wear what you like + who cares what others think ! ! ! I was just interested in a sociological context ; I suppose in those days (mid-60s) people weren't so funny about flesh on display as they are now !

  • @rupertducker

You don't wear underwear under a leotard, unless it's a thong that is.

  • @WoodRatGirl Too true ; I of all people will tell you that since I wear leotards every day in my every day life .

  • @rupertducker she's all covered technically. T
