my dad told me he had it as a kid but it went away. i have it even worse and i was thinking about getting this done can somone inbox me so i can talk about it? my hands are sweating just thinking about this!!!
@nickblaze420 from what i have heard it makes sweating in other areas worse and i understand what u mean about the social life... i try every option it takes to not shake peoples hands
@jshemie i know but from what i heard it makes ur hands weaker and u lose a little bit of feeling from it... with the hobbies i do this would not be safe for me
@dawhitedirtbiker yeah, i couldnt use my keys properly and would ring the doorbell all the time! besides ur fingertips sweat anyways. iontophoresis is good though u get compensatory sweating. anyhow it's reversible unlike the ets procedure.
@dawhitedirtbiker look up shannonbowling video on youtube (type cure sweaty hands). it's a marvellous video-guide to help u build ur own iontophoresis machine with less than 20 quid (or bucks if u're american!) dont get ets done! give iontophoresis a try. for more info, just google it! if u can afford a proper ionto machine (they're quite expensive), just ignore shannonbowling videos! good luch and lemme know! my hands r completely dry ever since i got to know iontophoresis! :)
Exactly Soxicmusic... Fix it for free, safely & for good! Sweaty hands, feet, underarms, etc (except when exercising) are caused by the sympathetic autonomic nervous system (ANS). There are two branches to the ANS sympathetic (fight/flight) and para-sympathetic (feed/breed). Notice when you are stressed or nervous the symptoms are worse? Manage stress by reprogramming your ANS. Chiropractic adjustments, breathing exercises, and visualizations will do that for you. Watch my videos to learn more.
For those in England, I have just had botox on my hands. The treatment was INCREDIBLY PAINFUL. I rated it as a 12/10 for pain. My hands are numb now as i literally just got home. The consultant said that people that have it done on their feet often cry from the pain. Each hand took 3 minutes to do (a awfully long three minutes i might add). The consultant said that I can have the botox treatments every 12 months, however he has suggested a sympathectomy as he says the risks for a palmar
hyperhidrosis are relatively low and compensatory sweating will largely occur in the feet and armpits. Would i have botox again? maybe if it lasts then yes i will but only resort to botox after you have exhausted all other routes (anti-perspirants- prescribed of course, glycopyrrolate/tablets/iontopherosis). The doctor did not botox my fingertips as it is dangerous - you need feeling eg cutting with a knife, feeling if something is hot/cold etc.
as for this video, my treatment was different. syringes with botulinum toxin were used by themselves.around 30-40 injections were made on each hand and the numbness is starting to wear off. results take 2-3 days to emerge so I have yet to see what will happen. the risks are recurrence, infection and temporary loss of feeling. My hands are also slightly brusied at the injection sites. Hope this helps and if you have any further questions contact me on facebook @ Jamie Shemie
@jshemie i went through this process 3 times and gotta admit it's absolutely not worth it. Yes, it works but just for a few months. keep in mind it's incredibly painful and u're bound to have ur sweaty palms back within 3-4 months. besides it's expensive and sometimes u wont even be able to open a door with ur keys as ur hand will lose strenght! i like my sweaty hands better! but lemme know if it's different for ya!
@djandreal well, i just had ets two days ago, i have to say i am very impressed with the results so far. my consultant is amazing and i really do trust him as he even preferred not to do the treatment privately as if anything were to go wrong, he would have the public hospital as a back up (not many surgeons would ever do this as it means they earn a few thousand pounds or dollars less). Botox, if it works for you is fatastic, especially if it lasts a long time like 8 months
@jshemie ok, i'll see u in 2 weeks time! sorry darling, i dont mean to freak u out but compensatory sweating is so common with ETS and it only kicks in after few weeks. u should have not done it. i'm afraid ur real nightmare has only just begun. good luck.
if ur in england botox is free on nhs once every 12months but ets is the way to go if u only have palmar and plantar. if you are a general sweater stay away from ets.
you could always just build your own iontophorisis machine.. find out how at stopsweat . info (no spaces) its the only thing that has worked for me so far..
@DreamTeamJate lol i do to (when with a bf) my hands get sweaty and its so embarrassing when they hold my hand but im nervous so they sweat but if they really like u or love u they wont care so dont sweat it lol
For anyone wondering, not everyone uses the suction cups. Totally depends on your pain relief during the session. I had a radial nerve block and couldn't feel a thing and the treatment has worked brilliantly!!
I've gotten botox injections in my hand before..about 30 in each hand, but it is very painful! and didn't work at all for me!! it was free since my insurance covered it, but I can't find another dermatologist who knows a lot about it! I don't know if maybe my dermatologist injected it wrong or not enough, but I don't think it's worth the pain! Good luck to everyone else suffering from HH!
@AtlanticDreamer13 aw that sucks! im thinking of having this done though cuz ive tried the topical medication "drysol" but it didnt work, and also cuz i don't want to have surgery...have u tried any other method?
@smellycat389 yep. well I tried drysol too and that didn't work! that's the only other thing I've tried. I've just been dealing with HH and not thinking about it...it really seems to be working. idk why but maybe as you get older the severity of the sweating goes down.
wow im 14 and i have this its very hard to be in a relationship for me cuz i cant hold my girlfriends hand does this actually work? if so do i need to go back every once in a while? if i dont i will do this because i want to live a normal life and have handshakes with my friends that i havnt been able to do without them being disgusted :(
i know how u fell im 14 to and have had it ever since i was a little kid. i just got this done today. im not sure if it works yet (its suposed to take a week or two) and yes you have to get it done every 6 months but it doesnt really hurt as bad as u think it would. if your considering it id say its worth a shot
Same here, i hate shaking hands with anyone and i feel grossed out when i have to pull my hand away from my boyfriend's to whip the sweat off(eww). My brother also has it and is soon going to do this procedure. The botox should hold off the sweating for a year and half, but it is costly up to 1,000(so i heard) since it hasn't been approve by the FDA and it should only take a week or so to heal the injection site.
i had ets done, succesful operation now my hands are cured, relief finally,my social life has takin off,i know what u sufferers are going through, consider ets and ur life will be bk on track : )
Do you know about drionic? i bought the drionic for hands and it really change my life! I tried everything, but nothing works like drionic does, check it out!
yeah it does hurt alot but you can handle it if you just dont think about it but IT DIDNT WORKED for me, i dont know why =S =(
my hands and feet still sweat alot, all day.
im gonna try going to a better place where they have more experience in this, and maybe a better doctor that also has done this more times. i hope it works next time
I am due to have this done in a few months and can honestly say this video has frightened the life out of me. Does it really make that noise? Does the machine/pump make it less painful than just the needle on its own method?
when i had it done they didnt used the pump thing, they just used the needle, it is very painfull but just focus on something else and not the pain and you will be ok
Seems most of you dont understand the basics of this...well it is not a disease but a condition rather. It's all in the sympathetic nervous system which is over active. It is sending too much signals to the sweat glands and it is not only controlled by feelings but very much so even if you dont think so. Most people with palmar hyperhidrosis dont sweat in their sleep for example.
You ARE in fact born with this condition but it doesnt really kick in for some until their teenage years.
i know it hurts soooo much i had this done yesterday in both my hands and feet, so when u had it done, did the sweating stopped right away or did you had to wait some days until it stopped, because i had it done yesterday and they are sweating right now
I had it done with just needles, it was unpleasant but not agony. It didnt really stop much sweating, the hands still seem to become extremely hot then sweat. I had about 15 injections in each hand, not the fingers though which is where a lot of sweat beads from. It offered me some relief but not a huge difference. Underarms are fantastic though and is not really that painful, is over quickly.
I would not say Botox is a miracle cure for everyone, but for some, it can be just what you need. In my case, it was too severe, and the Botox only worked for about 4-6 weeks before I would need another round. I ended up having a sympathectomy, which has really cured it completely, but I wouldn't recommend surgery for someone except as a last resort. It was about a weeklong recovery, and as with any surgery, many more risks exist. Do your research, but definitely a good option for many.
I had this procedure done 3 days ago for a mild case of palmar hyperhydrosis and thus far my sweating has been reduced by about 85% (apporoximate geuss) It does not completley stop the sweating however makes it extremley bareable. If you are debating this surgery i would strongly reccomend it, I did not even use ice in my procedure and I found the pain to be extremley bareable. Like loads of quick pinches all over the hand. It really is not as bad as it appears, the needles are small.
i have got this procedure done for my hands sweating and i tell u what that result are turley remarkable and effective, this procedure would stop palmer sweating for atleast 4 to 6 month,so i would recommend any one with the this condition to use botox infections.
Hi everyone, I was born with Palmar and Plantar HH. Here's the thing: Always keep in mind that right now someone could be dying and we are just worried if someone is going to see our sweat. Even past those years, I learned to love my HH. Just appreciate that you could of been in a harder situation. But don't let this take over your life. The more people with HH who are leaders, the better the world will be for others with HH.
to jasonmalice: i just canceled my appointment for sympathectomy and decided to try it first with Botox. I'm reading a lot about it and it seems that it hurts a lot. What is your experience about tha pain part? :) do you know what kind of anaesthesia they used? (lidocaina, just ice, ...)
i hate hyperhidrosis. of all diseases to get. FUCK!!!!! well imma be getN these shots soon so whatever. for me its either sweat a river everyday, or take a lil pain and have a taste of normality every six months.
I thought I was alone in all this but WE figure can something out can we? Iontopherosis don't work if you're extreme as I am. All I know is that less alcohol, caffiene and salty food will help lessen the sweat but what about a nerve rackin' job interview!?!?! I got one coming up and don't know what to do, tried everything in the books and none could help. Take care my friends.
i have sweaty palms and i find that if i eat good..drink plenty of water..stay away from salty foods and exercise..the problem reduces. something to think about before having unecessary procedures done. there is a natural way to heal almost any bodily ailment! the medical industry doesen't inform us because they make money as a result of our ignorance. the FDA is a conspiracy...ur palms are sweating for a resaon. FDA=conspiracy
well said i'm starting to think the same most of the shit they advertise dont work and the natural way its hard to find but its there and has more positive feedback...
you said "reduce". well maybe i don't want my sweating problem to just reduce. maybe i want to stop sweating all the way. besides what does the FDA have to do with this video? botox for palmar hyperhidrosis isn't approved by the FDA anyway.
It is approved by the FDA. And yes, they get fingers too. And it doesnt reduce. For 6-9 months, in the area where they inject the botox, there is no sweating. I just had my third procedure done last week, and I have been getting it for 2 years now.
does this procedure hurt any? i'm planning on getting it done very soon hopefully cuz this palmar hyperhidrosis is drivin me crazy. did ur insurance cover it? and if so, who's your insurance company?
im only 14 and i have humana...the insurance does cover it but the injections dont complety improve it...it only improved in my hands about 40% and its very painful
your right...this has nothing to do with the fda...but the fda will surely approve an expensive treatment for your sweaty hands that causes side effects. my point is to avoid fda approved drugs for not only sweaty hands but for any other ailment that you can cure naturally. we americans eat salty foods, we drink soda, and other toxic foods and drinks. did you know that toxins raises blood pressure and causes sweating? yes i said "reduce" but thats better than dripping sweat from your hands.
try drinking plenty of water and stay away from junk food...i'm not a doctor but my hands do not sweat nearly as much as they used to. my hands used to drip with sweat. i changed my eating habits and now they go days without sweating at all. excercise helps too i never said botox was approved by the fda...but the fda wont share herbal healing techniques or any other kind of natural healing. i guess i'm getting to deep but you were not born with sweaty hands. good luck
how much does it cost witout insurence, i have sweaty palms and it affects bacically everthing in my life but i eat healthy, excersise and ima vegitarian but it seems the sweating only gets worse wit time
wow he used a gun thing on you? Did it hurt a lot? because I got mine done but my dermatologist just used a needle..I got about 30 in each hand and it hurt soooo badd.
that sucks my friend...so what are you doing now to help ur hands? this shit better work for me cause i'm paying out of my own pocket..i'm taking robinul-forte right now but it's so dam expensive and the side effects sucks...til then my friend.. good luck to ya
you hd this done for palmer hyperhidrosis and it didn't work for you at all? hands still sweating and everything? that sux. i was thinking of doing this...:(
rofl i remember my little brother hella scared of this but when they poked holes and put the needle he thought it was gonna start cuz i covered his eyes hes like IS IT GONNA START YET? STOP SLAPPING MY HAND!
If you only paid 50$ you did not get ht correct procedure, the botox for the procedure alone costs anywhere from 500-1000$ depending on where you live. You 50$ treatment is a joke imo and plz do not discourage suffers from having this treatment it is a miracle cure!
atleast the sweat let the hand wrinkle up :p

Hi everyone, I was born with Palmar and Plantar HH. Here's the thing: Always keep in mind that right now someone could be dying and we are just worried if someone is going to see our sweat. Even past those years, I learned to love my HH. Just appreciate that you could of been in a harder situation. But don't let this take over your life. The more people with HH who are leaders, the better the world will be for others with HH.
God Bless.

snoppyshizzle 3 years ago
to jasonmalice: i just canceled my appointment for sympathectomy and decided to try it first with Botox. I'm reading a lot about it and it seems that it hurts a lot. What is your experience about tha pain part? :) do you know what kind of anaesthesia they used? (lidocaina, just ice, ...)

Take care my friends.
tenchimouse 4 years ago
its painful, but it does work.
very well, too.
my hands, without botox, sweat so much that they would fully hydrate a washrag in no time at all.
jasonmalice 4 years ago
yeah but do they get your fingers? or just the palms?
caffisc 3 years ago
i heard this is very painfull and it dosent work for most people i think i've heard it works mostly for armpits not hands

i have sweaty palms and i find that if i eat good..drink plenty of water..stay away from salty foods and exercise..the problem reduces. something to think about before having unecessary procedures done. there is a natural way to heal almost any bodily ailment! the medical industry doesen't inform us because they make money as a result of our ignorance. the FDA is a conspiracy...ur palms are sweating for a resaon. FDA=conspiracy
edub82 4 years ago
well said i'm starting to think the same most of the shit they advertise dont work and the natural way its hard to find but its there and has more positive feedback...
diegirri 4 years ago
you said "reduce". well maybe i don't want my sweating problem to just reduce. maybe i want to stop sweating all the way. besides what does the FDA have to do with this video? botox for palmar hyperhidrosis isn't approved by the FDA anyway.
caffisc 3 years ago
It is approved by the FDA. And yes, they get fingers too. And it doesnt reduce. For 6-9 months, in the area where they inject the botox, there is no sweating. I just had my third procedure done last week, and I have been getting it for 2 years now.
jasonmalice 3 years ago
does this procedure hurt any? i'm planning on getting it done very soon hopefully cuz this palmar hyperhidrosis is drivin me crazy. did ur insurance cover it? and if so, who's your insurance company?
ramone2185 3 years ago
does your insurance cover it? and who's your insurance company? i'm seriously considering getting this done.
ramone2185 3 years ago
im only 14 and i have humana...the insurance does cover it but the injections dont complety improve it...it only improved in my hands about 40% and its very painful
snoppyshizzle 3 years ago
your right...this has nothing to do with the fda...but the fda will surely approve an expensive treatment for your sweaty hands that causes side effects. my point is to avoid fda approved drugs for not only sweaty hands but for any other ailment that you can cure naturally. we americans eat salty foods, we drink soda, and other toxic foods and drinks. did you know that toxins raises blood pressure and causes sweating? yes i said "reduce" but thats better than dripping sweat from your hands.
edub82 3 years ago
try drinking plenty of water and stay away from junk food...i'm not a doctor but my hands do not sweat nearly as much as they used to. my hands used to drip with sweat. i changed my eating habits and now they go days without sweating at all. excercise helps too i never said botox was approved by the fda...but the fda wont share herbal healing techniques or any other kind of natural healing. i guess i'm getting to deep but you were not born with sweaty hands. good luck
edub82 3 years ago
how much does it cost witout insurence, i have sweaty palms and it affects bacically everthing in my life but i eat healthy, excersise and ima vegitarian but it seems the sweating only gets worse wit time
UndergroundRudeBoy 3 years ago
they say it's a hereditary condition but you're not born with it. it usually starts in adolescence. mine started in middle school.
ramone2185 3 years ago
wow he used a gun thing on you? Did it hurt a lot? because I got mine done but my dermatologist just used a needle..I got about 30 in each hand and it hurt soooo badd.
AtlanticDreamer13 4 years ago

crabb622 4 years ago

unstppble 4 years ago
im very lucky, cuz my insurance paid for it
crab622 4 years ago
dam that's cool...hey i'm about to get insurance soon, how long did it take until your insurance approved the whole thing and paid for the procedure
unstppble 4 years ago
well i went to a dermatologist, who them wrote a letter to my insurance company, saying all the problems to my life, like exact situations, not broad
it took about 1-2 months for a reply
and they approved for a year of botox
but after the first botox, i didnt feel any improvement, and also my hands were alittle clumsy, so :(
but what is recommened for botox to help is to have it done multiple times, but my parents dont exactly like the idea of botox
crab622 4 years ago
that sucks my friend...so what are you doing now to help ur hands? this shit better work for me cause i'm paying out of my own pocket..i'm taking robinul-forte right now but it's so dam expensive and the side effects sucks...til then my friend.. good luck to ya

has anyone here ever tried hydrosal? please let me know if it worked!!!
rrpickers 4 years ago
I tried it. It was $50 and it didn't do a thing for my palmer and plantar.
aznlily17 3 years ago
If you only paid 50$ you did not get ht correct procedure, the botox for the procedure alone costs anywhere from 500-1000$ depending on where you live. You 50$ treatment is a joke imo and plz do not discourage suffers from having this treatment it is a miracle cure!
