hi, ask ko lang para saan yung headphones suot niyo? would you recommend to wear headphones para mas marinig yung mga bass parts sa pagsisifra ? thanks!
@o9723064 No way! I'm from Sydney and I did a Bachelor of Music Studies at the Con. I graduated in 2008. The B.Mus Studies was a classical course but I did 4 semesters of Jazz piano there and have recently began getting more into Jazz and much of the music I have been composing is taking on a bit of a Jazz flavour.
@RobotCityy Yup, it's really worth it =) if you're familiar with using softsynths, you'll pretty much know how to work with Kontak player (comes with the Garritan DVD). =)
@o9723064 Thanks Buddy, Man i love this video! Is there a way to buy or download just the Piano and the Drums? without all the brass and things i wont use?? did you but yours in a package or can you seperate it?
@MrBenPratt hmmm.. i dont think there's a way to get just the piano and drums from Garritan. i bought mine seperate from a relative in the US. =) it's worth it =)
the 57 is good for micing almost anything. at leave live. problem with acoustic instruments cuz they're too quiet. have to turn up the pre so much that it gets all the room noise. cool piece though.
at that time it was the only mic i can afford and can get since we don't get much variety in mics where i live. i had to make do with what i have that's why i commented that it was a "good enough mic". i know there's a lot more mics out there that are better sound for the bass like AMT mics. if only i can afford it and if only it was sold here =) thanks for the comment Tuckerr03 =)
Great playing man, you swing. I've been trying to figure out a way to create a backing track and improvise on it, basically what you just did. Any advice soft/hardware-wise? Thanks
hi there :D i used CAKEWALK Sonar 6 DAW and Garritan JABB Virtual Instruments for the backing try i sequenced. a fast pc would do wonders for sequencing more instruments :D
@o9723064 Hey Man, I just really want to thankyou for shareing this with the world and Us, thankyou for taking the time to rock our world!!!!! Please make more cause I love this video :) :) From Fans in Australia

@mayoch5
hi Mayoch5. The reason for the headphones is that I need to listen to the playback without having it bleed into the mic.
as for using it to transcribe music, sure, it can help. as long as you can hear the music better, why not =)

Hi! :D Garritan Jazz VST has pretty convincing brush sounds as well as the sampled Steinway piano. I do recommend it =)
What part of Australia are you from? I studied at the Con (Univ. of Sydney). took up the Jazz Group One class for a couple of months.

Hey I was looking into buying Garritan Jazz and Big Band three, can you tell me, is it worth it and easy to use? The price seems too good to be true
