I am not quite sure...but yes! Maybe! Because if you pause this part for while...you will realize the girl is on a hospital bed after having a surgery perhaps.

i believe that that girl was having trauma in her feet, but in the middle of the competition she landed her jump and hurt her feet, because there was concrete underneath the carpet. She also is the same girl who gets the shot in her feet, so she could continue. Its really is a sad story..

Is the girl in the opening scene thats doing the pirouette on your stomach the junior Darya Kushnerova? Your montages are by far the best on the internet. RG was so much better in the 80's compared to know. Now, the gymnast rely on the freaky flexibility moves rather than the beauty of RG.  Look at anything by Skaldina or Kostina.

im a gymnast and dont fully understand RG but man it takes talent and hard work, its so pretty to watch , and i like when they doy beam backhandsprings sometimes and when they do walkovers with such flexibility its really cool
