  • A Red no le gustó el vídeo.

  • Red John Is dead people, Patrick killed him in season 3. Last episode. I just seen it, It was Awesome for some reason, Like I jumped up and everything! =/

  • @ganja238 No Patrick proved that that man was named Thomas Carter, an associate of Red John hired to bait Jane. Red John has already killed again in season 4, spurred on by Jane to kill a man who was going to get away with murder. Jane got the murderer to insult Red John on TV...

  • She is red John or a connection to red john

  • i so want to hug him right now

  • i hate kristina... i would never do something like that spacially to a person who has a past like janes

  • I think Kristina actually tricked herself into believing she's a physic

  • Question. Is Kristina a real psychic?

Both herself & Jane know that she is a fraud, right?

  • @MrFirlyes there´s no such thing as a real psychic...;-)

  • I felt bad for Patrick and put my hands to my face, but when I breathed in, my hands smelled like delicious cookies (I don't know why) so I smiled, but then I frowned again because I was smiling while Patrick was crying. :C

    Kristina Frye you bitch!

  • @Sopresaful women can be very cruel sometimes!! :-)

  • You know this scene is great but I also love the scene in which a woman tells him that if you find happiness never let go of it and Patrick sighs with that look in his eyes, full of sorrow and regret.

  • Love this programme so much

  • Is his wife dead or not? i dont understand?

  • @jnshaley Yes,she is.The serial killer,Red Josh, who they are searching for killed her and his daughter.

  • Kristina: I talked to your wife...(Patrick begins to stop her) ah, ah... (Kristina pauses) Ever since your wife and daughter were killed, there's a question about that night's events that's been tormenting you, yes? Yes?

    Patrick: Yes.

Kristina: Your wife wants me to tell you that your daughter never woke up. She didn't know what happened. She wasn't scared, not even for a second.

Patrick: Are you done channeling? That's it?

    Kristina: That's it.

    Patrick: Thanks.

    Kristina: Goodbye,MrJane

  • @TheWinnerOfTheDinner Can I ask, what is the point of writing a transcript of the scene?

  • @SG1Mitchell for deaf people

  • @Palmen1990 Fair enough.

  • @SG1Mitchell ;) i really hate people that repeats everything. probably more than u do, i just had to type that

  • @SG1Mitchell Or transcripting can be for foreigners, like me.

  • @SG1Mitchell the point is ( i like that segment but ya seem odd)

  • @TheWinnerOfTheDinner LOL i dont think deaf people will be on youtube

  • @CJDobstar3010 the reason i did that for two things, first one is that i liked these moments secondly there is some ppl who didn't get every word in this and especially the australian accent and most of ppl here don't speak the english very well and they would appreciate that

  • @TheWinnerOfTheDinner oh yea cool

  • It's amazing how he can just cry on que like that.

  • @monasalm for me its the 2nd best scene .... best one was when thomy confessed in the end of e9 s1 !!!

  • brilliant performance by Simon Baker.

Dont care much for Kristina and don't really mind that she went missing...

    Jisbon :)

  • Damn... Seeing Jane cry actually breaks my heart...

  • this lady is such a fake lying bitch!!!!

  • i really dont mind that she's been kidnapped :D

  • @FenstenSpn She was returned but she's in basically a comatose state. Red John hypnotized her into thinking she had died.

  • @SG1Mitchell ah yea i remember now, haha, long time ago i watched that epi :P

  • @SG1Mitchell i thought that was a hilarious conversation between her and jane when she thought she was in the spirit world or something, classic.

  • @FenstenSpn She's not evil. She truly believes in what she says. And she and Patrick Jane were dating right before she was kidnapped. Don't be too hard on her, whether you believe in her 'power' or not.

  • @7777Scion i know she's not evil but i just dont wanna see patrick sad. And she probably just tries to help him but its just.. meh. but yea in a way her being taken by red john did also hurt patrick too. -,-

  • @FenstenSpn hehe, me neither. Jisbon <3

  • his wife and daughter. He starts off by saying, "I have a daughter that would be about your age if I hadn't caused her death... her and her mother." Frankie is about 13 years old, so that gives us pretty good idea of how old Patrick's daughter would be.

Anyway. It was just bothering me a little, so I thought I'd clear things up. (:

  • Kind of off topic... but, for the people that used to be debating about Jane's daughter's age, I have the answer for you: she would be about 13 today, so she was about 8 years old when she was murdered. In the second episode of season 1 (Red Hair and Silver Tape). If anybody's seen/remembers that episode, the victim's younger brother, Frankie, wants to get revenge for his sister's murder, and plans on killing the suspect. Patrick convinces him not to do that by telling the boy about how he lost

  • Poor Patrick :'(

  • I love this scene....i love it when men express their feelings

  • @ajones1113 Sorry, poor theory. That doesn't explain her death, with no weapon around, the Red John face on the wall and Jane's flashback to finding them dead with the note from Red John. Red John has also left mocking calls and notes to Jane. He's the whole point of the show.

  • @SG1Mitchell How does any of that refute my argument in any way? Jane could have disposed of the weapon, painted the Red John face on the wall, flashbacks are subjective, and Red John's behavior could be his way of letting Jane know that he knows the truth. I'm not saying that's what probably happened, just that it has potential as a plot twist. It would put a marvelous spin on all of the events up until now.

  • @ajones1113 The scene clearly shows Jane walking in on the room, smiley face all there. The fear on his face in that scene wouldn't be faked by Jane, as he was the only one around. Just a few small things that should already have you know that this theory doesn't hold up. I think it's somewhere alongside the theory of how Patrick Jane is actually Red John. You have every right to think what you want, but I personally would never believe it.

  • @Feralious Yes, but you have to realize that the scene was also subjective. It could very well show what Jane either wanted to believe happened, or what the public at large believed happened. It simply showed what Jane was reliving at that moment in time, rather than what may have actually happened. In any case, I'm not saying that this theory is totally sacrosanct, but just one possible path for the story to take.

  • @ajones1113 You're very well entitled to that opinion, but if that would actually turn out to be the case, The Mentalist couldn't be a bigger disappointment for me. Don't get me wrong, I love how underneath this happy, humorous yet also serious series hides a much darker world, at least in my opinion. But this would take it much too far for me.

  • @SG1Mitchell nah. Not to the extent of the whole point of the show. Producers needed a good bait to make people cling on to the show & Red john was an interesting start. Then he became less significant. Now he starts to bore, coz every Red John episode seem predictable. Its like a script fatigue where you struggle to handle a big ego. They can't hold Red John very long otherwise viewers would get fed up.

  • @ajones1113 You think a little bit to much about that.

  • Thanks for makin me cry

  • T_T

  • hey the psychic is fake? shez lying?

  • @riva021 I think she just wants him to feel better. She knows perfectly well that she can't actually talk to the dead, and Jane also doesn't believe she does, but if only ever there was the tiniest chance she's right, it would mean so much to him to know that his daughter never suffered. And that's why this is the only time we ever see him break down. I think it's wonderfully portrayed by Simon Baker, he's not only got the looks but also the mad skillz.

  • i wanna claw red john's eyes out, its not fair to jane his good

  • They say red john is intelligence and million steps ahead of jane. But on the other hand,Red john is a motherfucking coward piece of shit.If he is really intelligence why he has to hide behind a fucking mask.I get enough of this motherfucking Red John.If at the end Patrick Jane is Red John than I fucking shoot myself.

  • awsome scene...i want to start bawling when Simon Baker cries :(

  • Simon Baker is really a great actor! The decomposition of his face is so visible.

Ans I appreciate Van Pelt's attitude!

  • RED JOHNNN!!!!!MUST KILL THAT GUY!

  • SO FRICKIN SAD

  • that scene made me cry so much poor jane

  • that almost made me cry. :(

  • Wait a sec.... if she's in league with red john, than she would know whether or not the daughter was awake. I hope Jane doesn't overlook this.

  • He is an Amazing Actor!!!!!!!!! omg. it braks my heart to see him like that. :'(

  • How can she just shut the door like that? I just want to give him the biggest hug ever. It was so sad it made me cry as well, i would just walk in there and give him a hug, it was all so sad

  • @JenkemEveryday Wow.Don't hate on the the sexiest man alive.

And why do not like him?

  • simon baker is a brilliant actor. my heart is breaking.

i love how the mentalist has elements of fun, but can move effortlessly into scenes of extreme emotion! this is a truly amazing show.

  • God not this again! This makes me blubber like a baby!

  • Wow that was depressing.

  • Patrick is just like me.

  • She never knew who her real mother was. She did not know her father. A travesty of love gone very astray................

  • Must say, this is one of the reasons I love The Mentalist. A TV Show that can bring any emotion into play.

  • so heartbreaking, altrough sweet of grace to close the door, an dnot walk in to ask something

  • Watching his smile fall at 1:33 just kills me! And then the way he abruptly ends it then tries to hold the tears... incredible acting by Simon! Incredible!

  • dear T_T so sad :'(

From which episode is that taken ?

  • @OnyxBizarre Read the description

  • Thank you

  • @SG1Mitchell rude

  • @OnyxBizarre ep 1 seson 23

  • I almost cried, but my big bro is right there and he would prob. laugh at me, so...

  • Ooooooh, jeez! That scene is sooo freaking sad :(

We always see the smiling and irreverent Jane. But he's human. He can't hire everything.

    Poor Patrick =(

  • This is the saddest scene ever. After she finished talking, I just burst out crying. God bless Patrick Jane.......

  • that's so sad :(( poor jane... but are you positive she's faking it? i mean, why would she lie like that to jane, just to make him unhappy? oh well...

  • This scene is so fucking sad. I cried like a baby. Poor Patrick... love him! His smile... jeez, it lightens up the room, y'know, it makes you smile as well. He's the best of the best.

  • how did his wife die?

  • @000andreo000 wow. really you're asking that? his wife and daughter were killed a year or two prior to the series beginning by a serial killer named Red John who Patrick mocked on television

  • Oh i so feel for him hear bless him. Ah there is my shoulder for you to cry on Patrick

  • A refreshing break from the usually chipper and charming, sometimes annoyingly pretentious Jane.

    Thanks for posting.

  • its in the description

  • can u hand me that tessue please *snif* thnk u( T_T)

  • I'm a 19 year old and i people say boys\ men don't cry but i started crying and if i had a wife and kid that was killed i would lose my mind and hunt the monster that did it and i would kill that monster with my own hands .

  • @oehieze life experience i have more then most 19 year old do and for the record when i was 15 i was taking care of my nephew while other 15 year olds were out with there friends and at the age of 18 i was helping take care of my little brother and my nephew and with out any help so i have had experience .

  • Y__Y poor Jane

  • van pelt did a good thing bcause she gave some private for jane.

  • Your wife wanted me to tell you that

"Your daughter never woke up, she didn't know what happened, she wasn't scared not even for a second "

The amount of emotion that Jane emits is just beyond anything, After I heard her say that I literally broke into tears,

  • omg i cryed to i was sad about his wif ( never saw a rly good actor cry. ) (T^T) i have something in my eye!! ( T^T ) ~runs to my momey!~ no no me no crying ( sarcasim )

  • Oh my god, when Patrick Jane looked like he was about cry, I nearly cried myself!

  • He did.

    And I did.

  • me too <3 patrick jane can't wait for new episode tonight! Red Menace.

  • Every time if i see that i gonna cry....

  • i'm suddenly sad ;(

  • simon baker<3

  • That...*bitch*! She's toying with him, with the memory of his dead *daughter*, with his *murdered* dead daughter, to prove she's a better "psychic".

  • She saw his vulnerability when he was lying down and couldn't resist.

  • the vid reminds me of The Guardian-Causality Part 5....SimBa really knows how to do it right...he looks vulnerable....love him:))

  • Comment removed

  • that's really nice how Grace gives him privacy

  • I don't think I could have resisted the urge to run over take him in my arms, and comfort him

  • simon baker <3

  • my heart breaks everytime i watch this!

simon baker (sp?) is simply AUH-MA-ZINGGG!!! (and hott!!!) :)

  • Why he hasn't won an oscar just for that scene I will never know! He really is a first class actor!

  • Well Oscars are for movies. he has been nominated for an Emmy though

  • Eu quase chorei vendo!

    Simon Baker ♥

  • *winces* this is one the most heart-wrenching scenes in the history of TV... -_- this and the piano scene in "Redwood," i put on the level of Vincent grieving for Catherine in "Beauty and the Beast." and thats saying a lot.

as for the debate regarding Kristina, anybody with decent, however mundane, perception couldve done what she did. i dont discount the possibility that there are gifted people out there, but she strikes me as a little "hinky." something doesnt sit well with her

  • A great scene. The Mentalist is the best show of it's kind as far as I'm concerned. This does in no way though prove that this lady was psychic. If I was in Patrick's position that question would torment me. I think it would torment any parentwho'd lost their family the way he did. Empathy is all you'll need to make this prediction.

  • that smile at the end is heartbreaking :(

  • This has to be my favourite scene - the raw emotion is just..... awesome =(

The fact that he crys makes you think "He must be aching inside =("

Lisbon and Jane need a chance - they get on with each other and he could really open up to her =(

    I love simon baker =( =D

    xo ly

  • SIMPLY AMAZING!

  • "...your wife wants me to tell you that your daughter never woke up."

    ...such a touching/emotional scene!!!!

  • GOSH I wanna give him a hug. I feel a hole in my chest when I see him crying like that. Men crying is my weak point, PATRICK JANE crying is even worse.

  • The love Patrick Jane had for his wife and daughter is shown without a word in the last 30 seconds of this video. POWERFUL and extraordinary acting!

  • One of the standout scenes in the series. It not only reveals that Christina is in fact blessed with a gift, but confirms what keeps Patrick awake at night... It also shows Grace's compassion for Patrick.

I cried when I first saw this. Xshewanx, I wanted to hug him too! I still do!

  • um ehrlich zu sein finde ich beide sehr schön doch bei der Orginalen finde ich sie viel emotionaler...hmm mir fehlt grad das passende adjektiv...

aber ich finde die Orginale doch noch besser:)

  • ahh he is such a good actor and i love the way he plays a funny psychic and realy he has such a sad history as such

  • i love this part..the first time i saw him cry..

  • God, everytime I watch this I start to cry too :<

  • This is so sad!

    Amazing show!

  • Sg1Mitchell -

No, you're dead wrong. Check out the YouTube clip titled "The Mentalist - Patrick Jane Is Sleepless". From 3:10 to 3:29, we can clearly see two things: Jane is not dreaming, and his daughter was four or five, not an infant. So what if they were in the same room? Maybe the daughter was in her parents' room, or vice versa. Five year-olds do have the ability to move from room to room.

I don't know what episode that was in, but that's the flashback I meant. Glad I could help.

  • patrick has a better voice in german

  • I hate seein Men cry !!

I never see any man cry I never cry but this made me open the gate and I can't stop thinkin about it!! Aw I wanna give him such a bear hug!!!

  • Which episode is this from?

  • 1.07 Seeing Red

  • omg i like watched this the other day i was cryin

    hes so amazing !

  • Thanks a lot for putting this up. Simon Baker is a damn good actor and The Mentalist one of my favourite shows. I had to crie with him...

  • OMG this is soooooo sad, simon baker is an amazing actor!

    I was so close to tears...powerful stuff<3

    thnx 4 postingxXx

  • that's sp sad..why would anyone do that? Im suprised that he is still sane..well sorta..in some of the episodes he gets himself into some a pretty INsane situations.

  • I showed this to my sis, who is overly dramatic, and she cried until I picked her up and put her in bed!

Still it was a sad part of the series and I love this serie!

So thanks for putting this up!

  • how old is your sister?

  • 8

    Wel now she's 9.

    Why?

  • hey there...Its me...It was ILVJG but I had to change it...I cant even remember what i had asked lol Something about your sister crying so I guess I was wondering if she was like a teenager or something. Not a big deal.

  • Okidoki! XD

    Nice name =D

  • DemonBunn, to answer your question, Patrick Jane's daughter would be 9 today because she died 5 years ago. She was 4 when she died.

  • @judyosborne actually...in a newer episode he said to a 13 year old boy that he had a daughter that would be about her age..so she would be older than 4 when she died.

  • Thanks for putting this up! Probably the most affecting moment of the series, thus far.

A couple of picky details - first, we don't know that this psychic is a fake. It's kind of left to the viewer, and she seems genuine (at this point, she would have no reason to mess with Jane, other than to be cruel, which she isn't). Also, Jane's daughter wasn't an infant at the time of her death. We saw her once in a flashback, and she appeared to be four or five years old.

    Thanks again!

  • You must be thinking of something else. Maybe he had a dream. Can't remember. She was always an infant. Remember, the wife and daughter were dead in the same room. She was a baby.

  • @SG1Mitchell

No...in redwood, Patrick has a flashback to his wife and daughter playing the piano. She's young but she's not an infant. She could have been in her mother's room for many reasons... or RJ could have just put the two together... she looked about 5 ears old in the flashback.
