@Ishatawk Caparo made this car just to make a near f1 or indy type car for the road and they succeeded magnificently. And sorry to burst ur bubble but the bugatti veyron isnt all the creature comforts of the luxury italian it is because its not italian one its european and two bugatti is owned by Volkswagen

The point I was making was that the Veyron has a luxurious interior, swathed as it is in leather and brushed aluminum. Regardless of who designed it and where they're from, the fact remains that the Veyron is a luxury (but not just a luxury car). The T1 is just a street-legal race car.
google caparo, the second result is the t1...its a V8 500bhp BASED on motorcycle technology because of its 470kg weight...any more torque than that and it would just spin around pointlessly..therefore, they chose to add the bike engine...plus, u get more rpm, enough torque for its weight, crazy acceleration (2.5 sec to 60 and 5 sec to 160) and a decent supercar top speed of 200mph...sounds pretty much like a hayabusa, doesnt it?
Originally they had planned at supercharged 2.4 liter v8 which I believe was derived from a motorcycle engine but then they switched to a 570 HP 3.5 liter detuned indy v8.
