@caincan111 i agree. It was so exciting at the end, but then they finished the movie at the point, where it was the most interesting. I don't even know what happend then to the main guy. Did he became an object and was connected with the room all his life or wtf happend.

I have the DVD and watch it over and over, always looking for an excuse to play it to guests.. this was brilliant, it's a real bummer that we get bombarded with Stargate this and Stargate that, but this show never went past the mini series pilot.

Sci fi does a great job killing good shows, Caprica should have done so much better, but all of those 6 week breaks killed it. That channel was so awesome in 1995 then it just gradually tuned to crap.

@OZZl3  no LOST is shitty because it was an unplanned mess. nothing but dangling threads and plotholes resolved with an ending that they assured people since season one was not the way they were going to end it. at least this show had a coherent plot that was planned out.

I never watched when it was originally on HBO,but have since ordered it just to see it! And,damn, I see what all the fuss was over. I watched the whole series in 2 days! I couldn't stop myself. It is an amazing show,nothing like it ever on tv before.If u like Peter Krause then u will enjoy,and another great thing about it,the guy who plays DEXTER is on it too!

Absolutely loved this show. Too bad they didn't turn this mini series into a regular series. They missed out on such a hit! On a side note I felt a little underwhelmed by the ending, as though they rushed the ending in order to fit the schedule rather than playing it out for the superb content.

Battlestar was great for one season, Caprica is boring, and Alice was like Tin Man - rewrite a classic childrens story - badly - and throw in some guns and cheesy acting. If Sy Fy was any good, they would have turned The Lost Room into a regular series.

The real mystery about this show is why the hell didn't it get made into an actual series. It is one the the best shows I've ever seen right up there with Heros, Stargate, and Battle Star. Makes no sense to just stop with so much left unanswered and so much potential for story.

This was a great mini series. The ending left a lot of things open but I read that they had hoped the series would successful enough to continue into a TV show. Unfortunately not enough people showed interest at the time it was on. I really would like to see this story continue. They had me hooked all the way and I can see many cool places this can go. Plus Peter Krause just simply kicked ass

Actually, it reminds me quite a bit about the sf-book "Picnic at a Roadside". The same book that the fantastic movie "Stalker" is based on (which in turn inspired the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.)

i had this dvd imported last week on the strength of the synopsis and ONE review, and have to say it's absolutely awesome. it starts slow, but stick with it - by the end of the first episode you'll be sat there open-mouthed!
